@woodencoasterfan I have seen videos of the Hollywood version of the ride, and they kept it in much better shape, the film look good as new, vehicles didn't make loud squeaks when they would decend, The T.V.s in the vehicles were plasma screens (kinda like portable dvd player screens), and the "smoke" effect worked on most of the vehicles.
@KyFriedPlatypus The last time I rode it a couple of months before it was shut down, there was a spot on the main screen near the bottom where the film wouldn't show which ruined the ride experience.
I can remember when it opened at USO and waiting for hours to ride it. I got the idea that they were going to replace it when the bad "spot" appeared a couple of months before the announcement. But to be honest with you, that was a dated ride. Hanna Barberra, Alfred Hitchcock, King Kong, Ghost Busters, Back to the Future, and now Earthquake have all been rethemed.
@woodencoasterfan I think I know what you are talking about, I saw a POV where it kinda got dark around the outer part of the screen. Was the film a funny color?
I really love that mostly you hear only music, because instead of original OST we've got the rearrangement..
This ride was so much fun. My son was so into back to the future. He was 5yrs and had to watch all 3 movies everyday all day.
Man. If there's no dialogue in this video, then all I can hear is composer Alan Silvestri's theme to the movies and the ride. Awesome!
