We did not end up seeing Commander Fox in Tales of The Empire or The Bad Batch. We did see more shock troopers though. Perhaps the comics are still canon, and Fox did not survive his encounter with Darth Vader. Hopefully we see more clone troopers and the Coruscant Guard in the future!

No it was because fans hated him and the writers decided appeasing them was more important than developing his character.
He's alright. I can see why people dislike him, and why they like him. He's definitely low on my list, but he's a clone trooper, so I don't mind him that much.

Last I heard, Fox was Force choked by Darth Vader, or either Anakin.
i wouldn't be too married to the "canon" events of the vader comics. disney has shown time and time again that they treat anything that isnt on the big screen or disney+ as a sort of "soft canon" (such as all games and comics) that can be disregarded at the convenience and needs of the canon that "matters." most obvious example of which being the kanan comics, which contradict so heavily with what they would later establish in the bad batch that they may as well have announced a retcon.
Fox is my favourite clone so i really hope he returns in something. I think there's great potential for his return and a recreation of his death in a future show

I wouldn't put it past Filoni bringing back Fox, he brought back Ventress so who knows what might happen
Bringing back Ventress brought a lot of hype for season 3 of Bad Batch but she only appeared in one episode and that kind of ruined it for me.

Fox definitely made some serious mistakes, but you can't reasonably blame him for them. After all, we as the audience know so much that he doesn't. A lot of the time, his mistakes simply stem from him being on the wrong side of the plot.
Besides, his impressive arrest of Zirro shows that he isn't completely incompetent. He is simply unlucky.
He deserved no less for what he did to Fives.
Honestly I like fox a lot, BUT I can understand the hate towards fox, since he let the Grevus droids pass that left the entire Corusant without light. Besides, when he shot fives all the soldiers stood around him and took off their helmets to show respect, except Fox. And I think they were able to give Fox a redemption arc. I don't know something like he met Rex and he told him about the inividor chips and how this caused order 66, an issue that could be avoided if Fives was still alive and this would affect Fox so much that he will start a rebellion between the Corusant guard facing each other to the rest of the commanders. It would be a more interesting plot than simply dying from shooting Darth Vader. (and it would also close the loose ends of thire and stone
He doesn’t deserve ANY of the hate. Audience just expects him to know the same things they do.
