Every Friday I peruse the weekly release threads on reddit and today I noticed a song with a name I can't pass. The (John) Candy - I’ve Got A Gas Grill For Sale, It’s A Weber Grill feat Sammy SlamDance. It's essentially a deathcore mashed-up with various nostalgic soundclips, taking you straight back to the era of early internet music mash-ups. As any gimmick music act, you mileage will vary. All I'm gonna say there is Tim Allen's "Hueegh" grunt in there.
This is my first listen to Stand Still. This band rules. Thanks! Also brand new single from void of Vision -- Gamma Knife. This band will be BIG and one of the most refreshing this year.
I don't know what label the black Dahlia murder is signed to these days. Century media always blocks my reactions but if they're still on metal blade, I wanna react to their comeback video for sure. I still have my OG CD of unhallowed from back then. I don't think they ever topped that album and that may be a hot take but I stand by it...but I'm definately excited to hear what they're going to sound like moving forward! Miasma was close tho but unhallowed just has a certain charm to it and what I feel was Trevor's best vocal performance ever...I always go back to unhallowed when I wanna hear TBDM! I was really hoping for that review of the new 311 song from you haha. It's so weird how I am ALWAYS on the same wave length as those guys cuz I have been seriously considering taking lessons in boxing and 311 comes out with a fight club style video. Its sick!
@@AmongTheFence Awesome, I will 100% watch that review. I had nocturnal too but I don't know what happened to it. There's a handful of CDs back in the day that I left in an ex's car that I know I'll never see again. Id rather rebuy them than ever see her again though. At least I still got my OG messengers and constellations CDs!
Even though I find myself straying farther and farther from pop-punk and going more on into emo/Midwest emo territory, I can recommend new single by the band Calling All Captains, ass well as their last album. They elegantly dodge all the staples of modern pop punk. Their vocals aren't over produced autotuned mess, they're raw and raspy, even including some screaming. They mix in some older more hardcore influenced pop punk elements. Think The Story So Far, before they went soft. Even though I let go that specific style of music as never coming back.
Thank you so much for watching!! What are you looking forward to this week and what should I review next?!?
TBDM is everything you could want
Heck yeah!!
Thanks for having a wide variety.
Thank you! I try to mix it up!
