    Thanks for the video! I received this warning light this morning and already fixed it with your help.

      Im glad you have fixed the problem. I think first i posted the video with this particular problem. It took me 2 months to figure out the problem. I knew it was not a big deal since i can start the car normally but needed to find out what was causing this problem. I didnt know the auxiliary small battery was defective. I wanted replace it since it wasn’t charging properly. Accidentally i did not put the small battery back and started the car. Stop start sign came on but charging sign went out. Then i realised computer is sending the sign due to the faulty small battery. I replace the battery and within day or two stop start sign went out completely. I decided to put it on my youtube channel so other volvo owner will get help.

    Nice video thanks. Just keep in mind that after replacing the aux battery, it can take a day or two for the Start/Stop warning to go away, and for that system to start working again. (though the charging fault warning will go away immediately)

      @@pano3232 you can, in the My Car settings 8n Volvo, I think it's the Eco mode off that disables it completely.

      Just watched another video about the Start/Stop battery.
      It seems that baterry is used when your your engine starts at traffic lights to prevent voltage drop. As opposed to what I thought: that this extra battery is used to start the engine when Start/Stop option is on.

    Nice video...thank you. I had the same problem...but after watching your video problem solved. Only difference is I really hate the start/stop function so I just disconnected the small battery altogether and the 12v battery icon on the dash board is gone.

      Great!!! When small battery get faulty the system automatically get to the conclusion the charging system is down. I discovered this accidentally, when I took the small battery out for replacement the charging fault went away. I figured it out the computer is giving fault signal. Now if the charging fault comes back again automatically you know the battery in the rear is bad. Good luck!!! I’m glad that your problem is solved. I suggest replace the battery. It will give you more millage on gas.

      I agree with the better milage, however the wear and tear on the starter motor needs to be considered when the engine shuts down and restarts all the time. Again thank you for the video and solving my problem. I'm sure it will help more people in the future since there are very few explanations on the internet to issues regarding these xc90's.

      You do know you can turn the function off?

    • @squanman
      @squanman 3 года назад +1

      @@JIS001 yes..but you have to do it everytime you get in the car. It will reset to the the default which is to keep the start/stop function "on" and working. Scrolling through the menu everytime you get into the car to turn it off becomes tiresome. Wish they had a hard button to disable like in some other vehicles.

    Could you do a video on the driver's door, my door won't close all the. I have to tighten the bolts on the holster because they come loose and then make sure the door latch is in the C position. I used Wd-40 which helps for a bit and then it happens again. I have a xc 90 2016.
