- Standing 200 feet (61m) tall with a top speed of 73 mph (117.5 km/h) this B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) hyper coaster opened in 2016 as the tallest, fastest and longest coaster in Florida. The name Mako refers to the Mako Shark and the layout features a Hammerhead turn, named after another species of shark.

@@CoasterKing605 Facts. a B&M hyper doesn't prepare you for anything except a big drop. Intamins or RMCs will still beat the shit out of you in unexpected ways if you've only been on Mako.

I actually tried Mako for the first time today and that airtime is crazy
After that first drop, this ride is simply just fun. Prior to the first drop and then the actual first drop, I think I just blacked out so I can’t quite recall anything

Exactly 1 year ago, this coaster became my favorite Hyper!
And it's was my first hyper too
We rode this two years ago right before Christmas. It looks simple but provided a lot of air time.
Favorite B&M hyper, over Apollo’s Chariot and Nitro. The airtime is sweet, especially on the speed hill, and it looks beautiful at night. A great ride for sure!
I personally think diamondback is the best, not taking anything away from this great coaster.
Riding Roller coasters at sunset makes the ride so better

Went on this for the first time today, my second ever roller coaster (first was hulk at universal) and omg. after i did this im confident i can do all those rides i was too chicken to do before !!

My first B&M. I’ve done 5 B&Ms so far, Superman ultimate flight, Batman the ride, Goliath, and Georgia scorcher. And mako was my first. This thing is history to me.

SeaWorld and Universal are the best in Orlando. So far, they're light on the restrictions
I was on it yesterday at SeaWorld New Year’s eve, and I was blown away. That was the most aggressive job I’ve ever been on personally it was even more intense than Sheikra in Busch Gardens.
I love Mako! I had quick queue and rode it like thirteen times in a row back to back once. Great hyper.

I don't think I've ever ridden a B&M hyper coaster. Last time I went to SeaWorld was like 2003 lol Kraken was pretty new still and had a ton of hype. But yeah from everything I've seen/read Mako looks like another successful B&M coaster. I really do like that company a lot. Even with stiffer competition these days.

What a ride. Seriously the most intense experience I’ve had on a roller coaster other than raging bull, similar coaster but I rode it when I was super young and don’t remember it at all, lol, mighta blacked out 😂

Omg I just rode this over the weekend. I literally thought I was going to the heavens. 😱 I had no breath in my body to even scream. lol The dips through out this rollercoaster felt like eternity. Whew I made it!!!😅Space Mountain at Disney World is a piece of cake compared to the “MAKO.” If you’re a daredevil rollercoaster rider and in for a adrenaline thrill with explosive speed this is your ride!!🎢 Have fun!!!😊

I’m the opposite
I just rode this yesterday for the first time and noticed that there’s a straight section of track at the bottom of the first drop - you can also see it in the video. Does anyone know why they put that in? It feels really odd when you go down the first drop and enters a flat section, when your body expects to be going up the hill in front of you.
Cannot move on from the first drop then suddenly another drops happens…i was like “no more on this ride” but feels like I wanna do it again😂😂😂

Went today and was stuck on the lift hill for over an hr. They had to give us harnesses and walk us down. I got 2 free skip the line passes and a cold bottle of water lol

Ok so in a couple of POV I have seen, the one airtime hill trim is not engaging, which would mean this is the only B&M hyper in the world without airtime crushing trims? That alone has put it on my bucket list (well, 2022 trip list lol).
The trims do engage.
It has 22 seconds of airtime. Felt like my ass never touched the seat

when i was like 13 or maybe 12 i went on this ride with my sister the park was about to close and we wanted to get on one more ride may i add she was like 17 at the time and we both love coastwrs but sonce it was night we coudnt see the track to well so we really didnt know whay to expect man rhought my sister was being murdered on this ride lol i was laughing definitely a must try

If it’s not too late, I just rode it tonight (have a pass) and I love the first drop. It’s not bad at all but the airtime is amazing. I suggest just letting go and letting yourself fly out of your seat

It's the 60fps. Makes everything seem slower. I notice the same effect on my car dash cam

I went to sea world yesterday and it was such an experience with mako. We did like a 10 minutes wait line, it was so good. Highly recommended 🫣
