Rob if you just need to make the screw black get a gun black marker for fixing scratches on an ar15 it is very black and holds up well. Should be able to get most places that sell guns or gun parts.

You know, I have some but it is so thick and I can never apply it in small spots in a thin coat. Is there a best one out there that you use?

@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives To be honest I think I got mine from Walmart or cabellas I don’t remember and can’t find it right now. The one I have though is really a marker it’s like using a sharpie. I will try to find it online and let you know

Try birchwood Casey super black touch up pen. Brownells has gloss for around $5. It is also available in a flat finish.

I should’ve done a little research before buying this one. I really like everything about the knife except that detent ramp. I don’t care for ramps to begin with, but this one is too deep. The lock bar rubs the tang of the blade if you don’t hold it past the ramp. The ball doesn’t get up onto the flat of the tang until around 40 degrees drop. I can let it drop shut but the choil edge hits me right in the thumb nail. It’s livable but not ideal.

Bummer. Mine is pretty good and the choil drops on my nail with no edge.
