Purification Through Violence is actually one of my favorite Dying Fetus albums, every song is groovy as hell and the brutality from the guitars, drums and John Gallagher's vox is just ... well brutal!
New to Dying Fetus. I listened to every album over about half a day and they are instantly one of my fave bands. Every album is good and I like your ranking. Great video 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽

They don't have a bad album! Purification is one of my favourites... Every damn song!! Abs their brand new 2023 album is off the charts! Best Death Metal band out there!
Such a great band. Destroy the opposition is by far my favorite by them. They're political view gets really interesting and the riffs are nasty. One of the best death metal records
ive been a fan of them for over 10 years I like destroy the opposition the most and stop at nothing 2nd everything else im neutral but will listen and appreciate
Complete Dying Fetus fan boi here, and to me the top 5 goes: 1) REIGN SUPREME - modern death metal classic, greatest (punchy) production they've had and a bunch of their best songs (Subjected, Womb, Trenches, Blood) 2) DESCEND INTO DEPRAVITY - their most technical effort, and yet the breakdowns are still sick (1:26-2:23 on the title track, nuff said) 3) DESTROY THE OPPOSITION - Praise, Sodom, Epidemic, Justifiable Homicide.. so many classics here, and hardly a boring song. 4) KILLING ON ADRENALINE - shit production, but killer riffs nonetheless. Title track, Intentional Manslaughter, We Are Your Enemy grooves so fucking hard! 5) STOP AT NOTHING - Schematics is the greatest opener ever.. Abandon & Vengeance show their melodic side, and the heavy riffs are still abundant!
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 Man, I'm so sure my expectations were far too high in 2017.. I became a fan around 2010-11, and my first DF gig was ONE WEEK before Reign Supreme dropped in 2012, so I heard Invert the Idols live right before the album dropped. And holy moly, then Reign Supreme was released and I got to see them another time less than a year later - still one of my top 3 concerts EVER. That album (Reign Supreme) just did so much for my riff writing and appreciation for (""brutal"") death metal, so I think I was expecting too much on WOTFW. I like Wrong, and Seething With Disdain is a masterpiece, but I find the songs to be a minute too long, in general. Plus, the less polished production let me down, as it followed Reign Supreme. WOTFW is a 7/10 imo, but still an enjoyable Dying Fetus album (great riffs ofc). So yeah, sorry for giving my life story in 2012-13, but man that album, and those times, was amazing! I even talked with Trey after that second concert (and I've seen them multiple times since).
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 it still baffles me how my 2 first “brutal” death metal bands dropped my favourite album in 2012 (Dying Fetus - Reign Supreme & Hour of Penance - Sedition). Good times!
Hm, the drummer on War of Attrition kinda bums me out, so much I rarely listen to the album :/ Too bad to be sandwiched between Destroy The Opposition + Stop At Nothing and Descend Into Depravity + Reign Supreme. Falls short, imo despite some good riffs.
@@Metalton95 War Of Attrition one of my favorites. Duane Timlin from Divine Empire. I saw him play in that band when they toured with Dying Fetus in 2003.
@@wildbill1185 I envy you - I'm a massive fan of Dying Fetus, but that album falls flat for me, mostly because of the drums (sometimes the cymbals are low in the mix, too?). -Homicidal Retribution -Fate of the Condemned (3:40 that breakdown) -Insidious Repression -Parasites of Catastrophy Still kick ass, though!

Reign Supreme truly does Reign Supreme. Honestly the world could use a new Dying fetus album.
Brand new album just came out and is insanely good!
"It's called Reign Supreme for a reason", absolutely, it's probably my fav dm album of all time at this point
for real it's sooo crushing
The song “second skin“ was actually featured in a South Park episode

Obituary album ranking?
Been thinking about it! Only know 2 of their albums we so it’d be a good excuse to dive into their discography
@@pairofjeansreviews2034 haha
An Obituary ranking would be fucking awesome. Best album is Cause of Death.
Also just as a side note there is the forgotten album called Darkest Day, just saying that because people do forget that it exists.
