Honestly, The Blaze is art in itself. Fell in love straight away. All their videos move me beyond words. Their music is just, happy. Happy sad.

Since everyone has their own interpretation, here’s mine.
This song is about grief, family, friends, and what is your territory.
Seeing the sadness in the lead actor’s eyes makes me think he moved somewhere else a long time ago and maybe a death in the family made him come back.
He’s happy to see his family as much as he is sad to have lost one of its members.
We can see how different he is from his family but also the curiosity they have for him.
All of them are happy to see him again.
He may be sad but in the end when he’s dancing on a rooftop it feels like he’s finally getting all that sadness out.
He’s reconnecting with his roots while still being himself.
I lost the woman who raised me and a little brother a couple of years ago. Each time I see this video it reminds me of them.
They were what made my territory.

My friend put this Masterpiece when I was really high and I did not payed attention at the beginning, but the moment when he starts pouring out emotions during the dance on the roof top I went in another dimension of emotions, of course its impossible to describe with words, but just to try, I was the emotion ! Thank you THE BLAZE for this stunning music I would say The best music video ever ! at least for me music is not the same after Territory.
P.S. you are cool for making this video also, just clicked wanted to see what was other peoples reactions on this Masterpiece !

The lead actor is so good and that first scene was so convincing simply because they were his real family and they captured their real emotions at that moment 'cause the actor is algerian and he hasn't been to algeria for a long time

Source please? Cause I have watched the interview of one of the photographers on set while they recorded the clip and he spoke about a lot of things but at no point he mentioned that. But fun (not so fun) fact: The woman who plays the mother haven't seen her son in 15 years because he immigrated illegally to Europe, which made the entire play more realistic especially emotionally. But other then that I haven't heard that it was Dali's family.

I don't care about the band or music. The director's work, Dali Benssalah's amazing presence, and Algier's atmosphere and its people, their traditions, the emotion they keep hidden and they can't handle anymore, the separation and its consequences, all this made it magic.

It's a bit superficial still. You feel all of this a lot when you migrate and return to your home, but even more if your home is the home of your family for a LONG TIME. There is almost a genetic trace where you really feel home (i.e. italian descendents that return to their village in Italy and just feel at home). You really almost go mad with all the energy, for lack of a better word.

I think this video is about someone getting deported back to their home country. Initially, he is well-received, he missed his family and home after all after weathering the difficulty and succumbing to the failure of assimilation - maybe he even resorted to crime. Now a big fish in a small pound, he must synthesize who he was with who he has now become.
