Nice case management protocol, we have noticed creation of a new form of canal preparation errors (The middle constriction) when we tested PTN and PTU in preparation of 100 S-shaped simulated canals. We didn't test ES rotary files yet.
Gotta day, I tried out ESX on a couple of pre molars/anteriors and I was very impressed with their cutting efficiency. In addition the cone fit was spot on afterward
I remember in one of your previous videos you showed us a picture of your newborn son and how it changes everything in life. Time goes by pretty fast...
Love it! Just to clarify, do you use the non-heat-treated files like ESX up to the first curve (i.e. not entering it) or do you shape the first "turn" of the S-curve with said files to relieve file binding, so that your heat treated files cut mostly in and past the second "turn" of the S-curve?
very informative video. Thank you very much Dr. Ali. I have a question for you, if you could evaluate it here, it would be greatly appreciated. I suggest making a brief video on Indication and Contraindications of Single visit and multi visit endodontic treatments please. >>here is the question: Single visit root canal treatment is contraindicated in A. necrotic asymptomatic tooth B. necrotic symptomatic tooth C. Both A and B D. none of the above
Thank you. I went to film school many years ago. I do everything from shoot to edit and sound and lighting myself! That's the part I enjoy but takes a lot of time. If I have time I go for fancier editing, if I don't it's simple. Cheers. ;)
In the minute "6.20" when you obturate mesial canals it was bleeding a little bit, do you think it's ok obturate like that? by the way i really like you're work and videos. dont take it wrong, just want to know youre opinion.
No the canal should not be bleeding and should be dry. Occasionally, if you have a dry canal and you pump the sealer with a file and then a cone you can trigger a little heme coming up from the apex. This isn't idea; but more importantly, it should not continue. You can take a paper point and see if it drying again before proceeding to fill. It's important to make sure it's not actively bleeding during the fill. If it continues to bleed you should stop, use ultrasonics to remove the sealer, and then proceed to stop the bleeding or place Ca(OH)2 before proceeding. Cheers!
I've changed jobs and now I use the MTwo instead of protaper universal. In theory they r both great but the protaper feels just better. Also.. We used to use the protaper only once whereas we reuse files in the new place. Result... Broken 10.04 with the first touch 2mm from WL. Adding 1.5 hours and lot of stress during treatment. Are you aware of any reliable study comparing the two systems? Should single use be compalsory by law in every country? Opinions?
@@AANasseh I've just dropped an email. There is no regulation in re-use apart from the UK where single use is obligatory. This is a matter of importance for the patients' protection.
Martensitic files do not cut as efficiently as austenitic files. That's why. Use Austenitic files in the straight portion of the canal and martensitic files in the apical curvatures.
Thank you. I’ve gone to film school. So, this is what I do and I use professional cameras and editing gear. But for the most part, I use Final Cut, Avid, and Premiere Pro most of the time. Cheers! :)
Awesome dr . Allen ...wish someday be a great Endodontist like you
Nice job Dr... good luck with your new CBCT machine. thank you
Amazing work doc. And congrats on that CBCT machine. Hope you will incorporate the cbct findings into your next endo videos .
Regards
From Pakistan
Great walk through of a challenging case and of your neighbourhood! Thanks doc!

I guessed from the start that he is your son ^_^
Nice concise Clip from a top tier prof like you deserves always a Thumb up
Thanks alot Master

Great video doc...which camera are you using for filming please?
Nicely done case.Which cbct you are installing and how much it helps in endo practice.
Thanks doctor.

D. But I have a whole video on it on my website on the details. realworldendo.com/videos/is-single-visit-endodontics-ok
name of brand of file system
Shouldn't Edta be used after every protaper use after removing it from canal? I see Dr. cliff ruddle always stating to use edta all the time.
Awesome Dr great job)
Who does the editing of your video clips? They are all super interesting and so beyond RUclips quality👏👍

Single use is the only predictable way to reduce the incidence of file separation. But dentists reuse files much to patients' dismay.

why not using martinsitic files from the start ?

Was wondering which editing software are you using to add the graphics and effects? Amazing skills 👍🏼

20.08/25.04/20.04/17.04 recycle crowndown and final file 25.04?
Yes, in mesials 25/04 and in the distal 40/04.
Nice video , what lens and camera did you use ?
I use a Canon C300mk ii with a 16-36. It's a heavy beast.
