Sir you said that if early blockage of these lateral /furcal canals with smear plug can be prevented than there is high probability of NaOcl to reach these canals, sir please guide us on what is an appropriate irrigation protocol / sequence to be followed in both Vital and Necrotic cases.

many thanks for great lecture. by the way, how to fill furcal canal? do you use bioceramic sealer and ultrasonic device ?or packing gutta percha on it ?or is it necessary to cover furcal area with glass ionomers?
Not necessary to fill the furcal canal as long as you've adequately cleaned the main canal and irrigated inside and not blocked too early with smear layer. Meanwhile, yes, covering your chamber immediately with a liner or GIC or placing your core immediately is much better than cotton/cavit! Cheers! :)

Sir As per Cohen extraradicular biofilm or bacteria/biofilm in lateral canal is dependent on intra-radicular bacteria or biofilm, thus if we remove intra-radicular bacteria extra-radicular will die itself... No need to clean lateral canals.
Precisely. This has been known for a long time but Dr. Schilder’s ideas were propagated faster than people could argue against scientifically.
