Bendy is a Slow-Paced, Strategy-Based, Horror Game, meanwhile Cuphead is a Fast-Paced Shoot 'em Up game that can often resolve around Strategy, but never in Horror, unless you're afraid of Cartoons

Absolutely stunning work. You guys kept to the style of the era while giving it some of the poppier energy and zing of smears from the late 40s -- SPECTACULARLY done.
This is amazing. This somehow managed to emulate the feeling of both the characters as they are while also creating a genuinely entertaining cartoon. Even in the segment where bendy becomes a demon, you can see the expression on his face change and you can tell when he's smug or vicious or worried. A detail that goes by so quickly I almost missed it the first time but one that makes me so happy to watch this over again. Putting Bendy in a world where he, by nature, fits in only to get involved with the wrong person at the wrong time. Between you and me; It's the most characterization or screentime Bendy has probably had in a single "episode" of something, let alone 5 of them or so.

This is such art. I mean, just imagine the time this could have taken. I love how Bendy looks so friendly at the beggining, but Cuphead is just as aggresive as in the game. Their personalities fit perfectly. And the fact that Bendy can't use his powers in Inkwell Isle, and Cuphead can't use his powers in the studio. I love the smooth and characteristic animation of 30's. I also adore the music, again, caracteristic of those times. This is beautiful, really.
I noticed how Cuphead's gloves are white in the Cartoon world and yellow in the studio. To symbolise how the creators of Cuphead kept changing glove colors during development in their game to reference how Disney couldn't settle with a color for Mickey Mouse's gloves. It's a reference of another reference. REFERENCEPTION!
Now analyzing the facts behind this animation: - Cuphead had the upper hand in his universe. - Bendy can't fight against him there, having to use whatever was around him, making attacks go pink and giving advantage to Cuphead again. - Bendy can become more powerful with ink, hence, changing to his world transfers the advantage to him. - Bendy has no fighting skills, making him lose no matter how much ink he gets. - Cuphead blows the main source of ink in the studio, creating a Bendy with maximum ink power. - In Bendy's World, his attacks won't become pink, also, the space in the studio is really tight, it's not an open world like in Cuphead, making his movements a lot restrained. - When the ceiling fell, a passage was closed and Bendy absorbed the ink, moving to the other side and blocking anywhere Cuphead could run to. - Bendy could be shot, but he is made of ink, so.....yeah.... That's why Bendy won this. Personal comment: *I LOVED THIS ANIMATION*
Jonatas Carmona That “stronger Bendy” doesn’t need more ink to form. If you played the game you’ll know that. Also the only way Bendy can die is by playing and showing the reel “the end”, which is pretty far in the studio. Also, he’s ink. No physical attacks work.

Javier here. I just wanted to say I’m blown away and humbled by the response to this battle. I was approached by Jetz to tackle this fight and, being the cartoon fanatic I am, I accepted. We gave it our very best to make this finale a real slobberknocker, going to great pains to get all the little details exactly right (did you know Bendy’s eye notches are always on his right side?). Really, we’re glad our hard work paid off. Huge props to Shelbie, Chris and Ryan for helping bring this to life. Thankfully, we didn’t need to channel our misery into inky automatons to get this done, but I digress. Huge thanks to Luis and Sean and the ScrewAttack crew for having us! Cheers! ☕️😈
Even though I’m a little bummed that Cuphead lost, I can’t deny just how incredible this video was, the animation was totally on par with Cuphead’s actual game! This video is an absolute love-letter to both of these franchises! Gosh I don’t even wanna think about how long this took to animate! Great video!!
To be honest, dying and trying again is Cuphead's whole thing. So Bendy is clearly way more dangerous in a straight up fight. Maybe if you watch the fight a hundred times he'll pull out a win eventually.
I completely agree. They did a great job. They could have easily just done 2D sprites on a plane but they went the extra mile and created a unique animation that meshes really well with both characters.

I have a feeling this should have been an official death battle instead of DBX because this was ridiculously awesome. The animation quality was impressive work. But to be honest, I wanted Cuphead to win. Nice video anyway.
There's the problem, most of the fighters in death battle have feats that can be looked at and determine the winner, cup head and ink have shown very little feats to determine the fight.

Okay this was actually a good one. Unlike most of the other DBXs I watched before I gave up entirely, this one is well-animated, well-choregraphed, has great sound design, and stays true to form with the characters represented. Props ScrewAttack, you made a good one.

@Ryan Nguyen Bendy didn't defeat Satan, Cuphead did. "The End" isn't the only way to kill Bendy y'know? For instance, the Ink Monsters in the Studio have shown to be vulnerable towards physical harm and stab wounds, which indicates that the Ink Monsters (Including Bendy) can be killed without just showing them The End. You might say: "Well that's just because of Video-Game Mechanics" Usually I'd agree with you, but how do you explain the fact that Sammy died by an axe to the head, Alice died by a sword through her chest, the Projectionist died by having his head pulled off, Cyboris still hasn't grown back his arm, and the Boris' can still die by having their organs removed? You might say: "Well it works on them but not Bendy" I'd usually agree (Again), if it wasn't for the fact that Bendy has been shown to have NO tolerance towards physical attacks. He struggled to brush off a punch from the Projectionist and (While in Beast form, which is his strongest form) was hurt after running through glass pipes full of ink. So the reasons Bendy'd still win against Cuphead in the studio, is because it's his home. He has all the ink he needs and can use the environment to his advantage, which Cuphead doesn't know about. But Bendy only has a 1/3 chance of winning against Cuphead.

@@pedro_6120 The reason the Tommy Gun does nothing to him is because the Meatly didn't install a hit-box in him. Bendy's meant to be held until Chapter 5, so it's not that he's tough. I guess you could say that But doesn't Bendy absorb ink? He was being pushed back by the glass pipe and it makes more sense than being pushed back by ink, especially since people claim Beast Bendy is really strong and tough. The reason I compare Bendy to the other ink demons is because Bendy's at least a bit stronger and tougher than them. For instance the fight with the Projectionist, the Projectionist was actually holding his own against Bendy until Bendy fought strategically and killed him. But there lies the problem, Bendy has to get up-close to Cuphead in order to kill him, which the "main" strategy in Cuphead is to keep a distance from your opponent. So Cuphead would never let Bendy get close to him. Beast form's his best chance against Cuphead, but it's no different than most monsters Cuphead has faced. Cuphead can fight both up-close or at a distance while Bendy can only fight up-close
Why. In the world. did I not watch this. The animation is so smooth, the sound effects are amazing for both game sections, and I love the little nod to the Wally and Thomas audio log with the pipes and the wrench on the bolt. Also they ended with the thing that every Cuphead player dreads most, dying right at the end of a boss fight. I think that's a nice touch.

This is such art. I mean, just imagine the time this could have taken. I love how Bendy looks so friendly at the beggining, but Cuphead is just as aggresive as in the game. Their personalities fit perfectly. And the fact that Bendy can't use his powers in Inkwell Isle, and Cuphead can't use his powers in the studio. I love the smooth and characteristic animation of 30's. I also adore the music, again, caracteristic of those times. This is beautiful, really.

Not quite the best DEATH BATTLE but still the best of DBX.
Now analyzing the facts behind this animation:
- Cuphead had the upper hand in his universe.
- Bendy can't fight against him there, having to use whatever was around him, making attacks go pink and giving advantage to Cuphead again.
- Bendy can become more powerful with ink, hence, changing to his world transfers the advantage to him.
- Bendy has no fighting skills, making him lose no matter how much ink he gets.
- Cuphead blows the main source of ink in the studio, creating a Bendy with maximum ink power.
- In Bendy's World, his attacks won't become pink, also, the space in the studio is really tight, it's not an open world like in Cuphead, making his movements a lot restrained.
- When the ceiling fell, a passage was closed and Bendy absorbed the ink, moving to the other side and blocking anywhere Cuphead could run to.
- Bendy could be shot, but he is made of ink, so.....yeah....
That's why Bendy won this.

That “stronger Bendy” doesn’t need more ink to form. If you played the game you’ll know that. Also the only way Bendy can die is by playing and showing the reel “the end”, which is pretty far in the studio. Also, he’s ink. No physical attacks work.

@@mr.z3302 Cuphead isn't using physical attacks. Cuphead is shooting magic capable of causing harm to the Devil. We don't know if Bendy is susceptible to magic or not.
Unlike most Death Battles, this is more blunt as a love letter to both franchises, regardless who won. The Game Over screen is a nice touch, too.
I just wish Bendy had a taunt at the ending card like, "Awwww, no need to get bent outta shape! Ya never stood a chance!" Or "This is what happens when you dare to dance with a demon!"

Javier here. I just wanted to say I’m blown away and humbled by the response to this battle. I was approached by Jetz to tackle this fight and, being the cartoon fanatic I am, I accepted.
We gave it our very best to make this finale a real slobberknocker, going to great pains to get all the little details exactly right (did you know Bendy’s eye notches are always on his right side?). Really, we’re glad our hard work paid off. Huge props to Shelbie, Chris and Ryan for helping bring this to life. Thankfully, we didn’t need to channel our misery into inky automatons to get this done, but I digress. Huge thanks to Luis and Sean and the ScrewAttack crew for having us!

Even though I’m a little bummed that Cuphead lost, I can’t deny just how incredible this video was, the animation was totally on par with Cuphead’s actual game! This video is an absolute love-letter to both of these franchises! Gosh I don’t even wanna think about how long this took to animate! Great video!!
To be honest, dying and trying again is Cuphead's whole thing. So Bendy is clearly way more dangerous in a straight up fight. Maybe if you watch the fight a hundred times he'll pull out a win eventually.

I completely agree. They did a great job. They could have easily just done 2D sprites on a plane but they went the extra mile and created a unique animation that meshes really well with both characters.

But to be honest, I wanted Cuphead to win. Nice video anyway.
There's the problem, most of the fighters in death battle have feats that can be looked at and determine the winner, cup head and ink have shown very little feats to determine the fight.

Okay this was actually a good one. Unlike most of the other DBXs I watched before I gave up entirely, this one is well-animated, well-choregraphed, has great sound design, and stays true to form with the characters represented.

@Ryan Nguyen Bendy didn't defeat Satan, Cuphead did. "The End" isn't the only way to kill Bendy y'know? For instance, the Ink Monsters in the Studio have shown to be vulnerable towards physical harm and stab wounds, which indicates that the Ink Monsters (Including Bendy) can be killed without just showing them The End. You might say: "Well that's just because of Video-Game Mechanics" Usually I'd agree with you, but how do you explain the fact that Sammy died by an axe to the head, Alice died by a sword through her chest, the Projectionist died by having his head pulled off, Cyboris still hasn't grown back his arm, and the Boris' can still die by having their organs removed? You might say: "Well it works on them but not Bendy" I'd usually agree (Again), if it wasn't for the fact that Bendy has been shown to have NO tolerance towards physical attacks. He struggled to brush off a punch from the Projectionist and (While in Beast form, which is his strongest form) was hurt after running through glass pipes full of ink. So the reasons Bendy'd still win against Cuphead in the studio, is because it's his home. He has all the ink he needs and can use the environment to his advantage, which Cuphead doesn't know about. But Bendy only has a 1/3 chance of winning against Cuphead.

@@pedro_6120 The reason the Tommy Gun does nothing to him is because the Meatly didn't install a hit-box in him. Bendy's meant to be held until Chapter 5, so it's not that he's tough.

But doesn't Bendy absorb ink? He was being pushed back by the glass pipe and it makes more sense than being pushed back by ink, especially since people claim Beast Bendy is really strong and tough.
The reason I compare Bendy to the other ink demons is because Bendy's at least a bit stronger and tougher than them. For instance the fight with the Projectionist, the Projectionist was actually holding his own against Bendy until Bendy fought strategically and killed him. But there lies the problem, Bendy has to get up-close to Cuphead in order to kill him, which the "main" strategy in Cuphead is to keep a distance from your opponent. So Cuphead would never let Bendy get close to him. Beast form's his best chance against Cuphead, but it's no different than most monsters Cuphead has faced. Cuphead can fight both up-close or at a distance while Bendy can only fight up-close
Why. In the world. did I not watch this. The animation is so smooth, the sound effects are amazing for both game sections, and I love the little nod to the Wally and Thomas audio log with the pipes and the wrench on the bolt. Also they ended with the thing that every Cuphead player dreads most, dying right at the end of a boss fight. I think that's a nice touch.
What I want to know is what was that music playing throughout their battle because I MUST KNOW IT RULES!!!!
