Thank you for speaking to the positive aspects of healthy mother/daughter relationships. I just recently started a channel on this topic. I think it’s important to model what the behavior of “healthy” looks like; both in terms of the vulnerability of affection and humility, and the strength of boundaries and self-care. I hope the video I’ve posted will compliment this one in content.

Thank you so much for all the comments and enlightening perspectives, addressing a topic that needs more exposure. Your words and advice about the courage to be agents of change in a world where systemic patriarchy continues to silence many voices are truly inspiring.
I totally agree with the speakers’ concerns about the danger of polarization inherent in systemic patriarchy and its intergenerational impact. These are important considerations given the growing popularity of attachment theory now discussed on social media and having entered common language and daily conversations.
Admittedly, attachment theory has been validated by extensive research and helps to explain relational dynamics. However, as you point out, without contextualising this theory in the big picture of our web of life, I believe this approach is another way of sophisticated stereotyping and perpetuates systemic patriarchy.
We definitely need greater exposure of voices and insights like yours today to empower both mothers and daughters and also, as highlighted by the male caller, to include men in this overall approach to foster healthy mother-daughter relationships in particular and healthy and joyful romantic and family relationships in general.
Thank you for sharing your valuable insights.

Thankyou! So nice to hear helpful things instead of just the effect of negative or toxic relationships
