The argument I am seeing against stagflation is that the US dollar is still stronger vs other currencies. Yes GDP is down, but this could be the WHY factor.
Because of this, the US is seeing higher imports vs exports to capitalize on the dollar strength. Thus with lower exports, GDP goes down.
Thoughts?

Thanks for a good update of factors affecting gold. Curious what you think of Soma Gold Q4 earnings. They looked pretty bad to me, and the tax bill looked ridiculous. They hardly said anything about Q4 in their earnings press release. I think they should have tried to explain what happened.
Here is an idea to think about. After quarterly earnings are out for the companies you like, it might be helpful to do an earnings summary video. This could be a supplement to the candy store videos. Just an idea.

Well, I have been making these videos in membership now. Basically, yes, it was a bad quarter, but they are back on track now at lower costs and higher gold prices.

@@katchum , the tax bill in Q4 looked like an anomaly. I guess it pays to be a member!

@@originalfred66 what is the tax bill about? Probably due to properties acquired and depreciation. Higher aisc was probably due to change in mining method as they need to develop more stopes and they were in a lower grade zone as well. Once that's done, it's back to business.
