Cool design! I have a smaller, shorter version, the MT-73 and found it still pretty useful to stabilize hand-held video. Open the legs press them against the chest, and flip the camera to point horizontally. It looks a bit weird, but it reduces shake if you just turn your body to pan. Also it’s good for low angle video shots; just record upside down and flip in post. It’s so small that it’s easy to carry in a small bag, like your MT-44.

Using MT44 to hold the Lumix GX1 for unattended video shooting for stage performances while keeping Lumix GH2 handheld to take still photos. It works well. By the way, do you have any recommendations on ND, graduation ND and polarizing filter system for outdoor and travel shooting that is economical, decent quality, easy to use and can fit in a small travel bag?
