      Maharishi was so awesome ... I feel sorry that local levels of his organisation didn't survive here where I live in West part of Croatia. I found another guru Paramahamsa Nithyananda. He is Shaivait, but appreciate Vedanta Advaita teachings very much.

    How is Maharishi defining the intellect here? Is there such a thing as “cosmic intellect”?
    This is a wonderful talk. I was in France on a six month course at the time of this discussion.

    • @firefacewatersoul34
      @firefacewatersoul34 4 года назад +1

      in short terms yes, but cosmic intellect is like silence projecting thought, it remanes scilence but it can speek in turms of thought. it's like your body speaks your thought your mind remains in samadi. it's as if every thought you have on that level speaks with all the layers of consciousnesses. it's as if you are witnessing your thought like it is a noess your brain produces but only hears. you remain silent at all times but can make other think you are thought. my mind becomes a speaker, but does not revurbarate the thought inside, it goes out but doesn't loop back it is just a wave i produce. you go beyond intellect, to cosmic universal mind.

    This:
    You are my Self, my core, my essence
    The Goddess is my Mind.
    My breath and sight Your attendants.
    My body is Your Temple.
    Enjoying the objects of the senses is
    My worship of You.
    My sleep is Your state of bliss.
    Wherever I walk
    I'm performing a prayer to You.
    All my words are hymns of praise to You.
    Whatever actions I perform,
    They are all worship of You.

    shivas staff is a nerv that streches from the hart of your brain to the center of the third eye, that's why if you want the power of shivas trishala is to us the whole brain projecting out through that nerva that splits into three on the surface of the scall. you can feel where it is but feeling your forehead and where you feel that little dip or wrinkle you will find where it is.

      @yangshen5540 3 года назад +1

      @@VikramDravid - again, I am grateful for your words. I am fortunate to have been initiated in TM, in the mid-90's, yet haven't been able to take advantage of the community of people with greater knowledge and experience than I, regarding time spent with Maharishi and the vast amount of material he presented.
      If I might ask more of you - how may I find more of these gems? You speak of Advaitic Truth, but I've not heard Maharishi speak of it, only of Samhkya philosophy, via his interpretation of the first 6 chapters of the Bhagavad Gita. Nor had I ever heard of him even remotely discussing Shiva, until this video, yet this, in my opinion, is one of the most clarifying lectures he ever presented. I would very much appreciate any more suggestions regarding what I should be researching, if you have the time.

    Thanks for posting..but is not Shiva also a transformer ?..He breaks down old forms (destruction)and gives mercy, to bring a true transformation. So although he is the Eternal Silence, he also has an active side in Creation, that is my understanding. Is this what MMY teaches, also?

    • @michelletaylor-gill7484

      Diane Bingham eternal silence rest

    • @benj1008
      @benj1008 7 лет назад +6

      In the process of transformation there are different stages. When one thing changes into something else, it is first destroyed, brought to rest, brought to silence -- it's made unmanifest. Dynamism is reduced to zero. Then the transformation takes place in the unmanifest gap where infinite silence and dynamism are together, and then from there the new value emerges.
      Shiva can be said to be involved in the silencing of activity, but more fundamentally he is the eternal Being in which the activity of creation takes place. Rest is the basis of activity, Being is the basis of becoming. The activity of nature belongs to the unmanifest. Shiva and Shakti, two inseparable sides of the same coin.

    • @Dako108
      @Dako108 4 года назад +1

      In the silence of Shiva we find three aspects, the creator, the maintainer and the destroyer. Shiva is most associated with The Destroyer aspect - the destroyer of ignorance. From the destruction of ignorance arises enlightenment.
