There have been some (like me) who have pleaded that they are working through injuries and roster issues and would iron it out before the postseason. The media tried to define the team as it was presented in late October.
Not really. The offense was built around those couple of receivers all through training camp. Remove them and the blueprint you just spent months on, gets thrown out of whack. Now you’re forcing the scheme on others. Bring the missing pieces back(Hopkins can be Rice easy)….Hollywood jumps back into his role, and bam….back to what you were already preparing for.
Their top two receivers were supposed to be Rice and Brown. They haven’t gotten Rice back and they won’t. The reason the offense looks “different” is because the offensive line has improved with the switch at LT and the play calling. Mahomes has been getting the ball out faster than ever before and they’re calling easy quick hit pass plays. It’s crazy that you think you know what you’re talking about and you got that many likes on an ignorant comment.
In case anyone is wondering, here are the real reasons why the Chiefs have come on down the stretch: - Charles Omenihu entered the pass rush after his ACL injury from last year (Week 13 against the Raiders). - Marquise Brown coming back from a shoulder injury in the preseason (Week 16 against the Texans). - DJ Humphries came into the fold at LT but almost immediately injured his hamstring, and because Wanya Morris and Kingsley Suamataiea were so terrible early in the year they moved All-Pro LG Joe Thuney out to LT instead. The guy is 285 lbs. with short arms, but he is technically sound and has not given up a sack in the last 3 games going against the likes of Myles Garrett, Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter, TJ Watt, and Alex Highsmith. (Since Week 15 against the Browns). Getting healthy and figuring out Joe Thuney is a cyborg sent from the future to protect Patrick Mahomes has resulted in going +10 in turnover ratio over that 3 game span, when they were just +4 for the entire season through Week 14.
The crazy thing about Thuney is... he hasn't even been that good. He has been decent, which is amazing considering the situation he was thrown in, and goes to show that Morris and Suamataia, unfortunately, were hot garbage. If DJ Humphrey can be just decent back from his injury they will be a very hard Oline to deal with
@@CharlieRogers50 He doesn't need to be much of anything, he needs to be "not shit", which is roughly what Thuney has accomplished. You do that and you not only sure up LT, but LG because, unfortunately, Caliendo is also in that realm of "not shit" and light years away of Thuney, a bonafide Pro-Bowler. That was the issue with moving Thuney from the beginning, it was not only the doubt of if he would be able to do it, bug also KNOWING that the LG position, arguably the most secure in the entire Oline, was now another potential weakness. I would rather have a "not shit" Tackle and All-Pro Guard left side than a two "not shit" caliber Olimenen covering Mahomes blindside. But that's just me, I'm not a Chiefs' fan so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
Quit the ref thing.. Its ridiculous. Chiefs got 9 penalties. The refs didn't reposition the goal post 3 inches to produce the doink. They didn't snap the ball early they didn't put grease on denvers kickers foot to make him low kick the field goal.
The _only_ conceivable moment in this game where you could point to poor officiating was the Brown catch in the 4th quarter. Often when a play like that happens, they'll take a timeout and send it for expedited review. In this case they didn't, and the Chiefs were able to run a play before Tomlin could throw the red flag. Now the thing about that play is it was on a 2nd & 5, which would've been a 3rd & 5 if the pass had fallen incomplete, which the Chiefs would most likely have picked up because their third down conversion rate in the 4th quarter is incredible. Even if they have to punt on that drive, they put together a second touchdown drive in the 4th quarter that made the final margin 19 instead of 12. So poor officiating didn't affect the outcome of this game.
I mentioned what you said about Brock Bower as Rookie o the Year and got totally trolled by Daniels fans. I mentioned Lad McConkey too which really pissed them off 😭😂😭😂
Guys! The JJ Watt as commentator commentary is not very accurate. He made some quick sharp in-play comments, calling Watson's long reception, "got 'im", and Kelsey's TD, "Kelsey's wide open" before they happened on screen. Just sayin'...
@@syeah1505 Don't worry, they've got an explanation for that too. You see, the refs have to call penalties on the Chiefs a lot in order to prove that they're not biased towards the Chiefs, but that in itself is proof that they do actually favor the Chiefs. (This convoluted mess is an actual argument that has been made to me)
It’s crazy that an offense looks different when they get one of their top 2 receivers back. 🤯 it’s crazy how that works right?

Love the comment about Joe Thuney😂🤣. Dudes an absolute stud
Cyborg sent from the future 😂😂😂 good one

Maybe the Chiefs are just good, guys. Did we consider that or no?
The media has been telling me they're the 2023 Eagles so idk 🤷♂️
@@RyanD2558 and when have they ever been wrong?????
Didnt these "experts" pick the bengals winning the super bowl this season? 😂
What a joke!?! Chris Simms did too
Shhh. They don’t want to talk about that now.
The "breaks"? Don't you mean BRAKES (as in what KC beat off the Steelers)?
What a surprise, the Chiefs are finally ready to play the games where they’re not practicing and they’re by far the best they’ve been this year
Steelers played 3 playoff teams in a row and lost all 3 2nd tier team. Tell the truth.
Nathan Peterman and Tim Boyle are the worst insurance policies
LA Dodgers? Did you really just say that?
Is Steve hiding out in someones attic?

Who are Brock Bauer and Lad McCinkey?
They should treat it like a preseason game let him get in there have a couple of drives, whatever they do is usually the right answer lol
The Chiefs are inevitable
Stop all your crying I'm a Chiefs fan and I thought TJ did just fine, he admitted right at the beginning he was going to be biased

Well he is in the stadium, seeing the whole field. He is not on his couch watching it on a screen like you and I.
KC Refs did not have to do much since the end result was not all that close.🤔
This is wearing soooo well. Lol.
They actually had more penalties than the Steelers. Did you watch the game?
