Trains Galore!
This Wondabyne Vlog features over 60 Trains including 3 heritage transfers for the Hunter Valley Steamfest.
I arrived at Wondabyne just after sunrise and left just before sunset.

The phenomenon you refer to around 26.00 is known as pumping. It occurs at rail joints simply because the actual ends of the adjoining rails are not directly or completely supported by the sleepers. I used to watch it fascinated as a boy in southern England, when the Brighton main line electric expresses swept past the bottom of my garden. The track was bullhead then, the axle loads were about 13 tons on the motor cars and the trains were doing 100 kmh. Ah the good old days.
Unfortunately the trains here only do about 50-60 Kmh due to the winding track. Which says how terrible the tracks are.

Phil, do trains simply slow down at Wondabyne just in case someone wants to get on? Or is there a stop request button that lights up a signal as happens on some railways? Cheers.
they probably slow down and see whether anyone want to get on. there is definitely no request button.

it left Thrilmere like that and i don't know why they didn't check on Thursday for graffiti and so it now in Maitland with graffiti on it oh well at least its just a part of the carriage graffitied and not the whole thing
