Thank you sir. Great information as always. Flashlight is now a must as I've become older. Carried many different knives and have finally ended up with a Kershaw. Thank y'all for sharing and have a blessed day and new year.
EDC is all about options. You never can carry everything, but individual priority weeds out unnecessary items. Reminds me of a Bruce Lee quote: "It's not the daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential." Great video!
I carry the same pistol in the same holster at the same place on the body. The same mag, in the same holder at the same place on the body, the same hand flashlight in the same pocket, the same folder in the same pocket, the same OC gell container, in the same pocket & wear the same belt. I don't rotate stuff & I've never lost anything. Been carring this way for over 10 years! The only thing I might add is a fixed blade!
My one tool I’ve carried since I was a kid that has saved me a number of times is my Victorinox Swiss Army knife, currently a Fieldmaster. Thank you for the effort you continually put into your channel. God bless y’all
Good morning MR! Thanks for sharing your EDC preferences. It’s nice to compare ideas & types of equipment of like minded individuals. It’s peace of mind knowing you have items on you for most scenarios that can pop up at any given moment. Take care & appreciate you sharing your knowledge 👊
I've been using a EDC pocket pouch the last 6 months... carry a knife, sharpie, light, little money and folded tape for bandages... goes in my back or front pocket of my pants..clip inside my pants .22 Ruger lcp2... great video
Chest rig reminded me of an aquaintence we lost Dec 4 , when his old school Contender pistol (no safety/exposed hammer) fell out of his chest rig when he bent over, died w/in 2 minutes in front of his family. It has been tragic, but also an opportunity to allow the broader community to see who is a "member" and willing to help and those who are just along for the ride. While i dont live in the area full time (and others in same boat) i bridge both communities...it has been enlightening.. . . for everyone .. small communities talk and its good to know who we can depend upon, even those who live and grew up there.
My EDC has been the same for decades. I carry a full size 1911 ( at the moment it’s a Wilson CQB) two spare magazines,a small flash light and a good quality folding knife. When I get up in the morning I put it on with my pants and take it off when I take off my pants.
I’ve found an o-ring on the lighter keeps it from losing fuel inadvertently. Easy on, easy off. Gerber multi tool is most useful item. Still trying to carry steel and lead without it pulling my pants off!
A few small things I wanted to add that some may not think about. I'm a female. Some of us aren't as up on this kinda thing as men may be. When I worked outside the home I traveled 23 miles one way. Not bad. It was also through back roads. I had a bag in my car with necessities. Here in the South, heat and humidity can ruin or at least degrade anything with adhesive. When I cleaned out my bag after I quit, all of my bandaids and other larger type bandages were useless. The heat just ruined them. Our heat indexes in the summer get up into the 120's sometimes. I can't imagine what the temp in the car is at that point. Also, I knew better. But, my headlamp and flashlight batteries ruined both because I didn't tape them to the outside. I just left them in there. They were so corroded I had to toss it all. Live and learn, I guess. I also noticed that my socks and underwear elastic had suffered. I ended up tossing that too. I just wasn't thinking I guess. If I would have checked more often, I would have noticed I'm sure. I'm terrible with edc, I do have a bag I carry if I'm going to be gone a bit. But, it's never on me. I stopped carrying a purse years ago. Many reasons. Only carry bare neccessities now. I don't even wear jewelry anymore. Just another reason for someone to want to rob you.
Put your EDC bag in the trunk but wrap around a old blanket Thst will keep the heat down inside the bag . Samt dead i use in the North to prevent water from freezing
I hear you. Heat in the mid Atlantic down is brutal from May to at least late October. Done the same with 🔦🔦🔦. Learned to swap out the batteries once a month to keep that from happening. Got in the habit of carrying every day mini bag with all those items in it into the house when I got home. Back out when I left. Yes. It's a pain but having what I needed priceless. Plus, every Friday I could switch out and wash socks and such.
I'm also a woman in the South - no chocolate in my car bag for me! ha. Our first aid kit that we leave in the car is gauze pads and vet wrap (self adhesive wrap) because bandaids melt. I keep snacks that won't melt in the car - Nutrigrain bars (can also give them to homeless, they are soft), grain free brand protein bars, etc. I do have an EDC that is a mini purse/large wallet that goes pretty much everywhere with me, so it goes inside and isn't kept in the car. That one has a lipstick, balm, eye drops, regular bandaids, sharpie, meds, and other stuff in it because it's not left in the weather.
I like those $10 Coast flashlights too. Always have one in my pocket, and use it all the time, every day. Like you said, it’s only $10, so if you lose it not a big deal. And they work well.
Awesome video.. 2nd amendment is king brother it guarantees the rest .. My EDC is on a my leather belkt in leather pouches a 4 inch Buck belt knife... flashlight... Leather-man's multi-tool... jack knife... and medical gloves... Then a sling pack has 1 meal, first aid kit, another flashlight.. compass fire kit... and my 20 double in the carry box in my Jeep ... always enjoy your kit videos .. Brother thanks
We carry pretty much same gear. Flashlite and knife at all times. Sidearm is either a small semiauto or 3 inch s&w 13/357 around my little rural property. Med within arms reach
Glock 26 or sometimes a 38 j-frame in a pocket holster in the summer. Kershaw 1776 model, I own a few expensive knives, but that's the one I use every day, Kershaw makes good stuff.
Good stuff, I carry much of the same and have found myself dumping bulky Items streamlined tools that don’t weight half as much. Tactical flashlights and leatherman’s are a no go these days just because of the bulk. Single cell lights and knives that have a centerline screwdriver are easier to carry and get more use.
Years ago when I married and started teaming driving a big truck, John laughed when I stored my hatchet in our truck. Then we went over a scale and snow accumulation had put the trailer overweight. Yep. I pulled out my hatchet and made quick use of it knocking the ice off the trailer. I also had a multitool knife. Truckers have to be prepared for anything. Now I'm retired and can't tell you where my hatchet is. I do have 2 flashlights within reach plus others scattered around. Miss my mag light. It made a great tire thumper.
MR. My EDC is charging device with cords plugs, earbud headphones, 3 pocket knifes, 2 flashlights, compass, windup pocket watch, lighter, medicine, bandannas, bandaids. Multi tool. Good video. Pocket piece. From the 👍. Best
I have an extensive "Mom EDC" I carry all the time, it's my keychain and a 8x6 bag (large wallet, I guess.) It's a lot different from yours but it's exactly what I need on a daily basis!
I love those little Kootek flashlights. Carry one every day. Great to clip to your cap bill for inside a semi trailer or if it gets dark on you while doing yard work, whatever. Pack of 5 for $20 the first time and $16 the second. Amazon. I have dropped them and killed them and the lenses do get scratched up in the pocket. Great $4 flashlight you can just consider disposable and grab another from your stash.
Stay warm .. I carry three knives .. one is large and works as a shovel and grubber .. then a box cutter and a swiss army knife .. also have bic lighter (flint, steel, fuel) .. nice package! Everyone should practice building a fire from friction and a few other difficult processes. I keep a rechargeable O-light with me too.
I carry an EDC pouch in my pocket that contains basic essentials of my EDC. My theory is could I survive with my EDC pocket kit should I be put in a survival situation and I can't get to my cabin or my vehicle. I also carry a full survival kit or a get home bag in my vehicle and in my cabin. This kit is a full kit, to include a full medical kit to include two tournaquets, chest seals, on and on. My theory is to have a full survival bag that can sustain two people for 72 hours, with the essentials, food, water, shelter, first aid and defense and beyond, such as an Axe, Silky gaumboy saw, fire kit, water filtration, etc. Survival is the game! Enjoy your videos brother!

Believe me, the older you get, the more you need a flashlight because of diminished vision. Great EDCs. Have a Happy New Year. 👍😄

I've been carrying a Gerber multi tool for over 20 years now. It's been the most useful and used item I've ever owned.
Use mine about every day. Messed up recently and broke the file right off trying to pry something. Guess it’s time for a new one.
Gerber has a lifetime warranty, contact them and they will repair or replace a broken tool. 👍🏼
@@patriotpreacher43 They used to have a lifetime warranty. I broke my file once and sent it in to be repaired, they sent me a brand new multi tool.

I have heard similar stories and this highlights the importance that whatever holster you use it has positive retention.
