  • Jay Don Blake is a long-time Greater Zion resident and retired professional golfer, but his career is far from over thanks to a recent exemption.
Jay Don discovered his passion for golf and launched his career from his hometown of St. George. After years of tireless dedication to his craft, Jay Don earned his PGA card. He traveled the world playing golf and earned multiple titles and accolades throughout his time competing. All in all, he completed 499 PGA tournament starts before retiring. (For reference, Tiger Woods has completed 359.)
Now, with his exemption granted and a PGA tournament to be hosted at Black Desert Resort in October 2024, Jay Don will officially compete his 500th PGA tournament start in the very place his career began.
Watch this touching, full-circle moment with our hometown hero here.

What a great story Jay Don! My brother, Jeff, died a few years back, but I’m so happy I’m here to see this tribute to you! You’ve always been a great person, and an amazing golfer! Best of luck on all of your future endeavors! Sam Austin
