holllywood could never invent a personality like this guy. he is bloody brilliant.
Thank you!
It’s just us aussies mate 😂

@@TheBushBeeMan New sub here, always had an interest in this honey process. Something that I thought I would pass on that I learnt from a previous video I'd just seen and the same thing came up in this video. About the darker part of the honey in each hive - ruclips.net/video/sCVR1MNgm6A/видео.html
Ya got enough l’s?
Damn Imagine getting a beer with this guy. I feel like the laughs would never end. What a cool dude. Truly awesome.
sorry already have reservation
@@realrambo1 wow how funny i forgot to laugh
This is true for all aussies
Not me. The only thing that I ever drink is water. Alcohol makes me feel depressed and ill and makes my thinking slow and awkward.
This man is hilarious, idk how I ended up here but I’m glad I’m here
Thank you so much for checking it out!
Me too
My thoughts exactly!
I love this comment the feels are mutual with this one😂😂😂😂
Same
Your Dad is such a natural in front of a camera. Somehow, every thing he does or says is kind of funny. Does he make everyone crack up when there’s not a camera, too?
He sure does, it never ends haha
Hes brilliant lol
Classic Aussies
A man after my own mind! I save parts of everything and eventually repurpose it.
So was it like this ?. Seeing as Dad is such a character and a natural performer, lets make him the star of YT. Oh Bloomin Hek !
Why are Australians so charming?
Oliver Pabilona because we are unique. 🇦🇺
I dunno cause we’re aussy
I suppose they have less of an overpopulation problem over all, which means less crime, better social relations, nicer environment, less severe laws... happier people tend to be more charming.
Not for long :(
Oliver Pabilona This man is a no frills Aussie...the best type IMO 🖖🏻
You didn't find this video, this video found you
I think the best advertisment for your honey is that last shot. I could watch that honey pour for hours.
“Shit, we better show you how cool this is!” Subscribed.
I don't have the sound on but I'm willing to bet he's Aussie.
Spot on 😉👍
Came here from your son's reddit. Quality content. You have gained a sub.
Thank you 😊
And I have gained a son
Note to self: when doing projects and something goes wrong (wire drops into honey collector; power not turned on, etc.) it is much more appealing to the viewers to laugh and joke about it rather than cursing and bitching about it.
your videos make me feel relaxed even if i dont know much about beekeeping. youre obviously so passionate about it =)
its something really fun and slightly dramatic to get in to, if you have a chance you might want to take it,well i guess if you want to find another addiction haha
The RUclips algorithm must've thought I was interested in the actual honeymaking process when I searched Honey farm for Minecraft that it suggested this video 🤣
PRETTY COOL VIDEO THO!!
FINE, RUclips I'LL WATCH IT! (i enjoyed it thanks)
Thank you :)
KalMay same!! It wouldn't stop recommending it 🙀🙀🙀 but of course it was good
I love this man, he's hilarious and charming
"Golly gosh I got a bit distracted being a bee keeper" Jfc I laughed so damn hard
this took me out too hahahahaha
I've got only two things I like. Australians, and honey. This hit the mark on both of them.
I'm glad with can meet both of those 😊
Hey man, you've got my sub. Looking forward to seeing you pop up on my feed.
9:15 starts honey extraction
ThisIsSolution thanks bro
8:48 is waht you came here for.
Jeff Mendoza thank you
yup a WHOLE lot of waffling to get to the point. Could condense down into 60 seconds.
Where would the fun in that 😉👍
thanks but i watched the whole thing and enjoyed so the who video is why i came :P
Nah mate. You come for the steamer but you stay for the aussie
Somehow ended up here and I leave a better person. 🤪
Thank you so much!
same lol.
So I’ve been on a watching spree of harvesting honey from bees, and the ‘spinner’ thing is the one item that confuses me a tad bit. I’m pretty sure what it supposed to do, is after you break the caps on the honey, you put the comb in the spinner, and it spins with enough force that it loosens up the honey still on the comb? I think, and then said honey drains/drips to the bottom, where it comes out a spout and into a bucket. Can anyone tell me if I got that right, or have I messed up in understanding it?
Spot on ;)
The Bush Bee Man oh! Cool! Thanks!
Its called a centrifuge - they're used for a wide range of things, from testing for malaria, to extracting honey, to splitting uranium into isotopes!
@@BennyAscent Its used in your laundry machines, and driers, and also in food preparation for drying salad after washing.
Be keepers like you are essential for the survival of bees, thank you
Thank you!
@@TheBushBeeMan do you not cook the honey to kill any bacteria?
@@georgesaliz8727 honey is a natural antibacterial. Cooking honey kills off all the good enzymes in it and your left with just flavored sugar. There was honey left in Egyptian tombs. It was crystallized but still perfectly safe to eat.
Greg Cavender not true, sorry, this is a myth. Honey, like every natural products, deteriorates, producing toxic molecules of hydroxyde methyl furfural. This is a slow process and honey is stable for a while if harvested dry enough (less than 18%). But soon or later, fungus and bacteria’s ferment it or eat it. Best is to eat honey within 2 years, after 4, it begin to lose his therapeutic strength. Old honey is not eaten by bees, would you?
@@Killraven59 Here' the myth according the Smithsonian, Natural Geo and the chemistry behind it. www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/the-science-behind-honeys-eternal-shelf-life-1218690/ , www.nationalgeographic.com.au/history/honey-in-the-pyramids.aspx , www.compoundchem.com/2014/08/21/chemistryofhoney/ And yes, I would love to actual try some ancient honey.
Ok, first time I watched the Bush Bee Man and fell in love with this guy within the first 30 seconds. You can feel the warm, friendly and humorous attitude immediately! Just love the little sayings along the way that make you laugh. I watched the whole video even though I was not really interested in the product but just the presentation was like a little sitcom on its own. And to the few people that give this video the thumbs down I have no idea what they are thinking?
He sounded just like mr.Bean when the wire fell into the tray lol
PotBadger * that's hilarious because I literally thought the same thing 😂
😂😂😂 very true
I thought so too.
OK@@sarahpursley719
Yes, yes he did! 🤣🤣
Always look forward to your videos, keep them coming 😀👍. It probably doesn’t matter but the frame direction on the first spin maybe harder for the honey to extract. The second spin the frames were facing the correct direction. Honeycomb has a 15* angle so the frame of honey is shaped like a V if that makes sense.
Thank you so much watching! I'll make sure to mention that to dad and get him to give it a go ;)
Why doesn't the return hose go into the inlet cap? Like a big loop with no gorilla in the middle.
12:23 No, it doesn't. Until you put it in glass.
You have to supply heated steam not recycled water condensation.
Private bubba, the machine has a water inlet. The thing he poured water into initially. You put the return hose into that, so it doesn't run out of water to heat into steam. Hes doing essentially the same thing, just putting it in a bucket and manually moving it to the water reservoir.
He has a steam generator in the middle of the loop.
Steam requires pressure, if you open two holes the unit will not gain pressure and will not create pressured steam.
Think of a radiator in a vehicle. Take the cap off and it blows out the top after its been running. Leave the cap off and it all just boils dry with no pressure.
You cannot create an infinite steam engine in a non commercial unit.
New subscriber....Down to earth type of guy. Wished for a long time folks would number their videos as I am getting old and forget what I have watched. Thanks for an excellent video..
I was unsure whethor or not you were an aussie but when you said eculyptus i knew i was correct
😉👍 Aussie all the way
If there's any poor Aussies out there, scrounge up enough money for a plane ticket to America and you'll make a fortune doing stand-up comedy on HBO.
You don't even need to come up with new material.. Just telling us about your day should suffice.
My mans hearting comments even after 2 years ago, that’s why he getting so much love, and he deserves it, he’s not like any other content creator I’ve seen
This tool needs to be called a honey comb XD
yea
Honey destroyer, because heat will kill the enzymes in honey and you end up with expensive sugar. Might as well buy it from the store which would beway be cheaper.
How did they not name it the Honey Comb?
You should sell raw uncapped honey comb please and thank you. You should also get all the comb that has different kinds of honey like you showed in this video and sell those as a special honey blend you could charge a fine dollar for it too.
Great idea! We're on the way to making it happen 😊
Lol. When people think of an Australian person, i hope they're thinking of someone like you :) awesome vid
I didnt even know 13 minutes passed when i watched this
today is Friday November 29th it is 2:33 p.m. I am on the east coast and I am subscribing to your channel just because you got to say s*** in your video that was hilarious
Best reason to subscribing ever!
I literally jumped off my recliner and ate several spoonfuls of honey.🤭
Nice!
Thinking about the Koalas.
Give this guy a freaking TV show ffs, I'd binge watch the shit out that. Amazing energy and humour, loved it.
oh to have a beekeeper grandpa who says „bloody” every other word
RUclips: I think he wants to watch honey get extracted
Is it common for people to have BBQ in their kitchen in Australia? Man this would be great to have in the states
+Jacob Tannenbaum haha believe it not this is my dads out door kitchen he built! To the right is the pizza oven he build from bricks he got from a old house that was being knocked down.
maybe not in the kitchen but extremely common to have a bbq in the backyard or outdoor area
In Tasmania there were public electric barbeques all over the place.
BBQ’s? Are you talking about grilling? Bbq is not a verb.
"How groovy is that?" That honey looks delicious!!!! 😋 And you remind me so much of my own dad, I watched this whole video with a huge grin on my face
This guy is like the Bob Ross of beekeeping. Felt like I was watching Bob Ross painting trees on the tv.
Watch for funnel-webs in those piles of scrap, mate!
RUclips: Hey, you’ve been watching a lot of animal crossing lately! Wanna watch a wholesome Australian guy extract honey?

I went through every single comment, and NOT A SINGLE PERSON mentioned 5:18 - 5:21 ; maybe I’m just crazy and it only bothers me.
What's so special about this?
@@Lurrer He doesn't actually twist the wire around itself properly, leaving it loose, which makes it essentially functionless. It's a bit like if you were tying two sticks together... you loop your string around the sticks, thread one end through to form a loop... and just leave it. If you don't pull the knot tight, it's not going to hold the sticks together, is it? Only here, the racks are the sticks and the wire the string.
I'm planting corn so I can feed more foul.
Not sure what it is about this guy that makes him so charismatic
I could listen to this man all day long
Yay! I’m so excited this was in my recommended videos! I love watching beekeeping videos, and you are just so fun to listen to! I love your sense of humor!
Thank you so much for watching :)
Really funny @5:14 sounds like Mr Bean. You are awesome. Happy BK
haha love it!
Why these type of people always say bloody like wtf that means😂😂
As far as i know, its used in a similar way other people use f*ck.
Spends half of the video for making the stand😂😂
This is the second most grandpa friendly video I have ever seen.
Imma buy this honey cause my bfs last name is bush and it looks yummy
Seems like I'm not alone in thinking that this person is a wonderfully charming Australian!
His throat closes up a bit and his voice goes like a cartoon sometimes XD This is an example 11:10 JUST LISTEN AHAH
YaChildishh 😂😂😂
If I was a bee I'd tell him to harvest my honey so I could watch it again.
Love it!
"Well, shit, better show you how good it is!" This got me for some reason. Gotta love Australians :D
I'm in love with the accent but I can't understand what he is saying. I'm no natural born english speaker so don't bite me ya'll
Put it in there on a hot day and ya don’t have to extract it shit just runs over everything. Lmao omg. This is funny as hell.
I wish this guy was my dad
Lol I love this man! I don't even know how I got here 😂
But we're glad you're here!
Like si vienes por un poco de todo!
This guy sounds like the one rock guy off avengers infinity war endgame
I think they missed out on a huge opportunity by calling it a "Honey Comb"
True aussie right here. 😂
Nice idea with the steamer but why not just take a heat gun and blast the caps for a brief second to melt decap them? Less work, less mess.
Think it has to do with the re-use of the frames. The less destroyed the frames are, the easier it is for the bees to repair/reuse them.
Tried that,, makes a big mess,,even lightly heating them, it melts the honey and blocks it from being extracted,,
Why am I watching bees video RUclips?
Because bees are awesome 😉👍
Honey demonstration starts at 8:45
Not sure how I ended up watching bee videos for the passed two days, but here we are watching this awesome video. I wasn’t all that curious about honey production but now I could bee 🐝 😬🤣🤣
That's awesome! We have a whole heap on the channel :)
*I was going ro order some honey...till i saw his dirty nails touching the honey....*
*Eeeeeeww !!*
Hate to tell you this but that's not overly uncommon in most agriculture...
Honey is anti fungal and anti bacteria and anti of many things if it is not heated. Heated honey like his is worthless .
Keep the lid on the container to keep moister out. Honey can absorb moister and can/will spoil or known as fermenting.
I like how he's acting like he's done this before 😂
I might actually subscribe purely for the swearing 😂
Fuck yeah!

Legend, thank you!
No worries
You sir, are an ideas man.....
That was so very interesting, thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching :)
Where do you get the stacking white boxes for uncapping? Home made? (3:05 in the video)
love it mate. I love our Aussie Honey.... been eating ur honey on toast for the last 5 years. I been to NYC... SC... LA and Canada, And I always miss Aussie honey. Its like Vegemite.... travel around the world and come back and eat the stuff for thew next 3 days
He is such a doll I can't ! He was cracking me up. Great video.
Thank you!
I dunno why but I just dont like honey. Im sure if I tried all the kinds id find one, but im so used to the sugar, glucose, fructose, etc, i just find honey to be like , almost like a sugar cube. Thats and im absolutely terrified of bees. I remember one time i was at Carowinds and id waited over 30 mins in line and a big bee started on my ear, I jumped outta line and it was on me, following not physically on me. And I ended up never getting on the ride. I hate wasp too. Always trying to make homes in my home. Thankfully windex chases them off. But its like there's a smell or something cause i destroyed the nest and they almost instinctively go back to the same exact spot. I put any cleaner you can think of to get rid the smell but no luck. Probably same thing with the ladybugs. I swear every winter they just come in and hang out.
I hope you're using distilled water with that steamer, or it's gonna be clogged with mineral deposits pretty quickly. (I realize this is a two-year-old video, but for those considering something like this, you have to used distilled water.)
Those tubs would be better having another tub in the middle with the finer mesh. Bloody good idea for the average bee keeper. 🍻
dark frame was not different honey but previous brood sector.
Mate. You got that BBQ at Bunnings!!! Hahaha
Can;t tell you how many of those I have sold when I worked there. Golden. Good channel mate, keep it up.
Hi Bushman. How do you find the bees cope with this type of uncapping proceedure? Saw these at Hornsby beekeeping at TOCAL this year and was curious about this.
I was curious to ask you how often do people just wait and pull honey in the spring (post winter, your seasons are a bit flip flopped than ours)? It would be less trouble for worrying about getting sugar water on in the fall. But also there might be an added problem with too much space for the bees to heat up... maybe? (Is the extra space a deal breaker?)
Hi guys, i have two questions. 1) I have a beehive it has three floors. There is no queen cage inside. Which floor or floors put the eggs by queen. 2) I don't want to give to the bees sugar, i want bees eat their own honey; i wonder that it's possible. The weather is -10 in winter here. Maybe the honey get freeze and they can't eat. Thanks for the answers.
Dude you are hilarious 😂 I’m so glad I clicked on this video
So glad you enjoyed it :)
I would only order if you were a bit cleaner. Ie: don't stick your finger in the product, especially with all of the dirt and grime under your nails. Even though honey has anti-bacterial properties... I still don't want it contaminated by anything else. Also, it isn't 'instant' so if a ball of grime drops in, and doesn't fully soak into the center, then the center is a safe place for bacteria to grow.
Granted, you may not use the stuff on the top either - but it is still annoying to see you handling the final containers with dirty hands.
Seems like a bit of a convoluted device for what it does. A roller uncapper produces just as much wax waste and doesn't require a steamer and water. Also, they don't have to be plugged in properly. :P
I don’t know why, but people with Australian/ British accents ALWAYS grab my attention idk why, I just like the way they talk haha
Honey generally has an acidic pH (though a few are alkaline). Acids react with most metals (gold is an exception). The reaction changes the flavor of the honey by taking up metallic ions. This is not usually seen as a good or desirable thing.
sorry ! Bee Man ... u r getting too dependent on Chinese products ! ( sometimes now they need not be made in china, cos chinese companies hav started manufacturing in poor countries like Cambodia etc ........ watch ur back Now ! before its too late !!
Holy fuck your gear is too complicated for nothing there's a youtuber, a bee keeper, who inside the hut that the bees are in, can grab the honey from a simple twist of a tiny crowbar or some shit. You gotta buy whatever tiny house he has it is simply amazing, not even compared to what you're using right now. You're gonna save in time, money, and most importantly, honey.
Hook up a hairdryer you know blow dryer those handheld blow dryers just a thought. Cool video from Michigan USA. Just reaches out saying hello to all the people of the world. Where do you all live reach out and say hello
So, would you recommend the Honeypaw uncapper or will you stick to your old uncapping fork?
I worry a little bit, that the honey gets locally to much heat from the uncapping device?
ain’t buying none of that with them fingernails in it 😂😂
