- ■ VIETNAM, HANOI: Second part of my visit to Hanoi's Cobra village where they specialize in various snake dishes. After choosing the Cobra and watching them prepare it in episode 1, it was time to taste the fruits of their labor. They turned one Cobra into 6 different dishes all unique in both looks and taste. What I was eating and how I was supposed to eat it I had no idea. Luckily other patrons of the same restaurant came over to my table and were more than eager to explain each dish.

This is a very common meal for those who could afford.
Usually the small shots came in 8 to 9 varieties.
Snake blood, Snake bile, Snake urea dissolved in liquor and liquors with some snake counterpart.
There after you will be serve with deep fried snake meat, herbal soup snake meat, pan fried snake meat with herbs, pan fried snake meat with XO sauce and varieties.
One snake could cooked out of different kind of meals.
Do they drink snake venom too? I think I've seen some where before the dropped a tiny drop of venom into the shot 😎💪

Venom ingestion doesn't kill a person. It have sensational acidity sort of taste.

Fyi: 3kg Cobra is enough for a Vietnamese family, his meal was 2.7kg cobra. How the hell you can consume 2.7kg of meat and bones and sticky rice in one single meal??
The short woman and the guy in the grey t-shirt was jokingly saying that he could pay with another 100dollar bill (think Harald might have had a few of them in his wallet). most of the giggling is them laughing at the language barrier and them being bad at math. The waitress on the right with the phone was stressing the other waiter while he was trying to do quick maths lol.

The shorter girl tried to overcharge Harald. The first one, she told him to pay 400vnd instead of 300vnd,then she tried to tell him to pay an extra 100usd, the male waiter stopped her both time, so Harald tipped the right person.

@@irondasgr With a snake weigh 1.5 kg. it can serve 8 persons. More food shall be added to the meal like herb, rice noodle and some more Vietnamese foods. My group of 11 persons had a snake a bout 2 kg. we felt enough. This guy had dinner alone so he would remain a lot.
