I made this recipe and it’s AMAZING. The perfect amount of spice and you couldn’t even tell that it’s healthy for you. I’m new to eating/cooking healthy and this was very easy to make!
Thank you again for another amazing recipe. You are the only RUclipsr who doesn’t have an insane fear of artificial sweeteners. Sugar free RUclipsrs seem to fall into the “add agave and dates to everything” camp or the “sweetener is the devil” camp. Or they’ll make things sugar free, but never allow you to add starch, or carbohydrates to anything! This recipe looks amazing, and I have not had orange chicken in a decade, so, I think I might be eating it for a month to make up for it 😂
I have been binge watching your vids. I love your videos and your personality even more. Made 2 of your recipes and about to try another one. You are great man, look forward to more vids.
Oh my GOD this recipe is amazing. I just made it for my family and it completely blew me away. Somehow managed to impress even my Thai mother who is critical of most asian american food or just asian recipes in general. Super excited to eat this the rest of the week!
Try tossing 1/2 to 1 tsp of baking soda on the chicken when you're adding the cornstarch, it makes the final product super tender. Also please salt it lmao. And buy a microplane, it'll work great as a zester and you can use it for hard cheeses, garlic, ginger, etc.
I was the Mr. know-it-all shouting at the screen, "Dude it's a blood orange!" Haha. Looks fantastic, man! Making it for next week. Keep up the great work, please.
I listen to a lot of people on RUclips that do recipe videos. But you, my friend are hands-down, my all-time favorite to listen to. Keep up with these amazing videos and that awesome personality! And thank you for all these wonderful recipe videos. Hands-down, the recipe I make the most that I heard from you has got to be cloud pizza. It’s an every week recipe for me. Drop 20 pounds in less than a month. I will be making this recipe this Wednesday. I made your protein bars today. Made sure I use the zero sugar, maple syrup. Almost put honey in it!! Then I thought what you would think about that. So I stopped myself. Lol.
@@pegsol3834 I just hit the 30 pound mark today. And I made the pizza yesterday and I’m eating the other half of it today. I make it at least once a week. It’s super high in protein and super satiating. I make 600 cal pizza that spreads out about 14 inches all around. And I can only eat half of it because I am so full that I have to save it for either later in the afternoon or the next afternoon lunch. I can give you one piece of advice, make it in many different ways. One week I’ll make a barbecue chicken pizza with mushrooms and onions. The next week I’ll make a regular basic turkey, pepperoni sauce, that free mozzarella pizza, and I have even made an anabolic Alfredo sauce, chicken and broccoli pizza. That one was the most calories came out to almost 750 cal. But if you think about it it’s still. not that bad due to the fact that you’re eating a lot of protein. And less carbs. And remember the best part is that it is a 14 inch pizza. The only difference I did was I added one extra egg yolk to mine to get that 14 inch size pizza without having to thin crust. But it’s less than 20 extra calories. Just add a lot of good seasonings and I’ve even made one with butter extract in the egg white crust. Was pretty good. Didn’t make it all that much better though. Good luck enjoy
Dear Rahul, I think your channel is about to change my life. I am a picky eater… I’ve never come across a food channel that didn’t double down on everything I hate to eat. Except you! So many recipes I need to try!! In many of your videos you’ve asked for suggestions for recipes… Can you figure out how to make a healthy caramel latte? Pretty sure the heavy whip n sauce are killing me 😅 Thanking the algorithm gods for sending your cake video to my feed 💜💜
I love orange chicken and found a way to make it a lot healthier as well. I also add in plenty of veggies, because why not? Will try your version with the blood orange :)
I recently made orange chicken and used some raw local honey and it came out really good. I love your channel and recipes are great but what’s your thoughts on artificial sweeteners? I’m personally just a fan of using local honey and organic maple syrup or even just pure monkfruit.
I like using artificial sweeteners because I don’t want the calories from sugar or maple syrup and I don’t think it provides nutrients. Sometimes a little bit of honey is good and has health benefits. Love monkfruit sweetener btw
I am concerned with a lot of the recent data on how it can affect the gut micro biome. And also I just personally think natural sugars are safer. I get the lower calories but try pure monk fruit since it’s no calories too.
OMG 😱 when we go to the States we LITERALLY go to panda express everyday - the orange chicken (we get the vegan one) is just THE BEST ❤ I am sooooo excited to try this!!!!
Love your videos, but that maple syrup obsession you have-eww. I use allulose to make a seriously thick syrup and make maple syrup and honey by using extracts. But you do you because the your recipes rock.
@@RahulKamat yeah I've tried that I just have a hard time eating food my friend is like that too he puts like olive oil and he shakes and eats a lot of peanut butter but he still can't gain weight I'm like that too
If you’re tracking cals properly and still not gaining weight, then you’re prob still not in a surplus. I don’t have a hard time eating food but using more oils is probably the easiest way you could increase
@@RahulKamat that is great news!! I’ll double check my numbers, but I’d love to see yours if you’re willing share? BTW, I made it last night and my daughter and I loved it!!
Apologies. I returned and re-entered and found where my numbers were off. Thanks for your reply. I love the channel and each of the recipes I have made. Thank you very much!
@@RahulKamatbut how? There's rice as well as chicken with a total of 45g of protein. That would mean 180 calories of the 263 is all protein but idk how that can be the case with rice as well. Are the macros not counting rice?
@@pegsol3834 you can lose weight without lowering "calories" by changing what and the quality of what you eat, and all the short cuts and added substances that people use are generally destroying their bodies and hindering their progress. Artificial sweetners, vegetable oil, low quality salt, tap water, unorganic foods. Cut those out and you will see a much bigger difference than adjusting "calories" which is only half the equation anyway at least half of it is hormones. The differences would be BEYOND weight or fat loss. Health is dynamic, if you go from mc Donald's to grass fed steaks you will lose weight and be more satisfied at the same "calories". Not to mention calorie is a bs measurement.

Yum! The blood orange added a great color. Mixing 2-3 kinds of sweeteners is a good idea for improved flavor, in my experience.

The orange with the “baby” is a naval orange. The dark red one is a blood orange.
did it yesterday and it was amazing :)
Lets go!!
Blood oranges are quite good, i have them often (when they are on sale basically 😅)
I’m a fan now
No orange zest?! Thats pure orange flavor.
Is the calories calculated with just the chicken? Or rice included
how do you reheat your chicken without it tasting terrible?
Can you honey as a sweetner?
Do you have a sugar free sweet and sour chicken Recipe?
I don’t but I like the idea
Can i just use orange juice from a bottle?
Yeah you can
