I have these, a tip for everyone is that the black square molle mounts will still have "play" after you tighten down your quick clamps. I didn't want any potential noise or movement so I took electrical tape and wrapped a layer on each side of the pronounced square side (making sure not to cover the brass threaded hole). This provided a tighter/snug fit and created layer between the plastic molle square and the aluminum molle cutout on the panel itself. Thought I would share.....
The MOLLE panels aren't for everyone but they certainly would help trades people. This is becoming the go to channel for hands on product reviews and I like it. I've noticed the subscriber count is increasing too... 🧨🧨🎈🎈💥💥
Nice install video Don. I have the side panels on my Silverado. An inexpensive way I've found to attach items is with Velcro straps with a buckle loop. Easy to move around and rearrange things on your panel when you want also.
Nice install video. I can see some will find those useful. Still have to get my EGR roll tray first before I can consider things like this. Thanks as always for showing us options..
I noticed in the Putco video that all of your bolts were installed in the sport bar. I assume you turned the "nuts" that were in the slot in the direction that took advantage of the curved portion of the nuts. I have seen these types of nuts in various industrial applications. I hope this EGR system works out. I am waiting to get your long term review of the remote rollback tonneau cover before dropping $2500 on it. Let me know when you get the chance. Thanks from Texas!!!!
Not for me but i do enjoy your installs..i subscribed to your channel because I am picking up a sierra elevation or the AT4 or AT4X in a few months and i do enjoy your honest video's. Love from Toronto. Take care brother keep up the good work
Torn between a few different bedside molle panels. Putco, Builtright and Advanced Desert Design. Main concern is with no hole mount they seem like they are not that rigid. ADD seem much more solid but lot of holes. How rigid are the Putco panels you installed? Any rattles?
I haven't tried the others. No rattling and very sturdy when close to the mounting brackets. However the farther away from a mounting point will flex a little.
Not for everyone. This is a product installation video so people can see what makes sense for their build. I imagine and purpose built expedition vehicle would get longer term value out of something like this.
@@Donslife Oh I agree and I could definitely use something like this! I just don’t understand the pricing concept for something like this. Putco makes premium products so I know they are quality. But for the 3 panels I mentioned they should be $700 at most!
I agree the tailgate ones may not work for everyone. I enjoyed making the video for Putco since people will want to see exactly what the setup would be like.
I wouldn't expect anyone to do all of the mods I have. I only have one GMC Sierra to make content with and my goal is to share ideas and help viewers understand how some of this stuff works. Can I ask, what makes it 'full rice?"
Do you not understand how a youtube channel works? Do you tell cooking channels they're making unrealistic amounts of food? Do you tell travel channels they're traveling too much compared to what the common person can afford? Pick the mods you like and just do those. If you don't like a mod he does then that video wasn't for you. His channel is about mods not setting up a truck the way YOU like it and then never making more videos once he gets there. Good grief, not everything in the world is about YOU, get over yourself
@@DonslifeI enjoy the videos. I have noticed an uptick in videos and with that it seemed you were just putting anything and everything on the truck. But when you put it in the context of producing videos I get it. Which is why I wasn’t going to say anything but ended up seeing this comment. I don’t intend for my comment to be hate.
Your comment isn’t in the hate category at all. The rudest comments are unlisted and only I get to see them. RUclips holds them back for my approval to make visible or not. I try to say in almost all of my videos…these mods won’t be for everyone.

I agree, they won’t have applications for everyone. Thank you for tuning in as always

Great tip!
Thanks for the review, been considering these but wanted to see them first
This was a large reason for making the video. Glad I could help

You nailed it, I show people options ✌️
I like how consistent you are with your truck. I have a Silverado ZR2 and looking to do some upgrades so I will be watching your channel a lot. Thanks
I appreciate that!
Another great video, Don, and well presented.
I'm interested in this mod, thanks for sharing it with us! :)
Nice system. It's too bad you have a job. I love your videos. I wish you had the time to make more of them.
I think it is a good thing that I have a job! RUclips is hard....😂
Your truck was cool. Now its cooler 😉
😂
Wow, pretty cool. Adding to my growing list, lol
Don, love your videos. These would be good for tradesmen, but for me….nah. Keep up the good work!
Thanks 👍
Cool addition for some...I have the composite box (aka Carbon Pro), would not do me much good. Good video tho, thank you.

Super cool!
Thank you
Looks good, how does it effect the bed lights that you just put in?
No conflict with the lights. I’ll try to remember to show it in an upcoming video

I wonder if they would interfere with the swing box installed?
Maybe. A few different swing boxes out there
Truck looks good, what color is your truck?
Thank man, Khaki Gloss Green by Vinyl Frog
So Putco makes you put a round leg in a square hole! That makes sense! 😂😂😂
They work. Glad it wasn’t the other way around.
WOW!!! For the 2 side panels and the multi pro tailgate panels it’s over $1300!!! That’s a chunk of change for basically 3 pieces of sheet metal!!!

$1300 what a joke😂 i had molly panels in every vehicle i had. One i currently have were like $300, never failed
The ones of the bedside seem useful. On the tailgate just isn’t for me and it takes away the usefulness of a pickup and getting stuff in and out

Looks like you need a bigger garage 😅
Indeed!
Nice install. Not for me.
Fair enough. I like that it didn’t require drilling holes
Too expensive.
BuiltrightIndustries also makes MOLLE panels
There is definitely a market for this stuff
Your truck “was” cool. But you’re going full on rice at the moment.
I was kinda starting to think that but was going to keep it to myself
