Techter is my primary class. I use wand exclusively except for mobbing PSE bursts. Techter takes a lot of work to play well. When I want a break I play Hunter.
I personally like to still categorize the classes, though. Like for "play whatever you like", well, some players want to know something about why they might pick it. Wherein I might say hunter and braver (especially hunter sub braver) are the ones you'd have to think least about survival with. Correct! I like your approach! I always like to recommend Braver to newer players looking for that type of melee upfront combat because of its ease of play and its ability to still pump out damage without much thought. Also as you mentioned, its s, which adds for that extra survivability that some players may understandably need. All around Braver is one of the best and easiest classes to get a grasp of for sure! Whenever people ask for my recommendation on what class they should start with I always like to make sure that I first fully understand what type of play style they're looking for. I try to get a feel for what they want in the game, before I recommend a class. I believe that it's important to go into the game playing a class that one genuinely finds interesting instead of one that's being forced on them! 😁
@Spikesxu thanks, I've expounded on a few different classes for certain things now. Like PSE I use Force, I'll always go back to Braver though. I don't care how much my friends talk crap about it. Play what flows with you.

Mr Spike sir, i fell in love with GU like... the first time PSO 2 was released Globally. i fell in love with the " Matrix Keanu" movements, which is GONE in NGS. but i still a Die hard GU and won't change to other classes despite what people say. I just have this one problem, I died easily in DF Dalion and my DMG Resist was like 13% with Weapon UP stat 136 % because I thought, I don't wanna be a Glass canon . and after i surf the Internet I found out that somehow, my build was kind of wrong..... some say you need like 160% weapon UP in order to beat DF Dalion. Well, I cannot afford Lux augments for sure and other super expensive like Glan augments, Exdi as well. I tried to change my augments and at Max it only hit like 148%, with ZERO Dmg resist and its not even close to 160%. Do you have any advice or opinion, or whatever that might be of help?
Hello! The first thing that you need to understand is that most the numbers in this game are multiplicative. So what this means is that, as your potency increases, the potency that you add goes further. So that +2% Potency that you get from changing this augment to that augment, will register as a 4-6% increase on your total number. That's one of the first & biggest things that you need to understand about your overall Potency in the game. The 160% that someone told you is about right for DFD. I'm actually surprised that you were able to enter DFD to being with with 136% Potency, as I'm surprised that, that even satisfies the BP requirements. Also, in regard to Dark Falz Dalion, he hits hard regardless. That Damage Resistance isn't going to do a whole lot because he's going to hit hard either way. The big thing about Dalion is understanding the fight & the mechanics. If you're not using a 10* weapon (the easily obtainable Reyaar or Xover, as well as the Flugelgard series), then the fight will also become harder to clear. Rule of thumb is that you should not be putting augments on your gear that are under 3.0%. The only real exception here is Grand Dread Keeper (The NON LC Version). There are specific tweaks that can be done in this regard but that's advanced. So rule of thumb is to not go under 3.0%. Keep in mind that The max amount of Potency you can get if you were to just go straight potency, is in the 200%'s. Augments I'd recommend you looking into are the the 3 Triyal Series. Each of these augments unfortunately have a negative stat, so I would try to avoid putting them on all 3 units and your weapon. As remember, values are multiplicative. So it will make you a super glass cannon. But, these augs give 3.5% a pop and all three can be placed on a unit together (you can type Triyal into the Personal Shop & it will pull up all 3). Take advantage of LC Augs that give higher potency numbers as well, such as Gladia Soul LC & Halphinale LC. Make sure you're using Einea units as well. Remember. The potency values are multiplicative. I can not emphasize this enough. All this aside, it's also important that you understand this over anything. Dark Falz Dalion is a High Difficulty Quest. As in, it's meant to require you to be geared to clear it. It's meant to be difficult. So if you do not have the proper at least baseline gear, you are not supposed to be able to clear it. That's the point of releasing High Difficulty Quests. To challenge those who have put the time in gearing. This is why things such as Wingard are drops in Leciel and LTQ. To give the player base who do not meet these requirements of High Difficulty Gameplay, an opportunity to possibly collect some of these weapon drops. Though the drop rate outside of Dark Falz Dalion is lower. I hoe this helps, and happy hunting~!
I like slayer because I just used a horde of monsters around me own attacks to destroy all their friends, I perfect block so much I just mowe them all down
Welcome to the game, and great question! So there's two types of potency. Floor Potency & Potency. Think of Potency as your overall potency. You increase this number to do more damage, go bang bang boom boom. Potency Floor, works with weapons having Damage Adjustment Variations. So lets say a weapon says it has "1000" damage on its description. But its Damage Adjustment Variance is listed at 50%. This means that on any given hit you could hit as LOW as 500 (50% of 1000) or as HIGH as 1000 (100% of 1000). This, excluding critical hits of course. What Floor Potency does, is it squishes that Damage Adjustment number. So instead of it being say, 50%, you push it to 80%. So now your LOWEST POSSIBLE number is 800 instead of that 500 at 50%. I believe I also used the term "floor" in this video to describe general output damage. In that certain classes, such as slayer, can produce substantially lower numbers than even some of less stronger classes, if not played correctly. Though it can produce some of the highest numbers if played right. So with Slayer for instance, there can be huge disparities between damage output from one slayer to the next slayer, depending on the player. I hope this answers your question!
@Spikesxu perfect thank you so much sensei. I asked cuz I chose slayer. So I will definitely have a backup main just in case I'm too ass at the class 🤣
Dah chan! I do not have a 10* weapon yet. SEGA usually doesn't tend to favor me very much when it comes to rare weapon drops, unfortunately 😅. (dies inside)
Slayer: Lowest floor, but absolute highest Crit. If you aren't seeing more yellow than white. You're doing it wrong. Capitalizes heavily on floor increase and potency mods. Termina and Enthusia for your Fixas I've found works best so you can maintain your momentum. Pros: Mixed range, lots of area attacks best subclass?: Toss up between Force and Hunter tbh Slayer's problem is not its DPS. It is absolutely the best class in the game.... If you can dedicate hours of your time maximizing it. If you have a life, Slayer is not the best class for you. Braver: hated braver. The need to constantly watch my spacing, while being forced to run dual potency to be any level of useful on the map just did not do it for me. Its got fun counters, but honestly? There is no good way to optimize braver unless you run dual potency. Katana and Bow do too good of a job making up for each other's weaknesses to not be doing it. Its also lacking in terms of radius and push in battle. Most common class I pick back up with a revive is usually a braver for some reason. The absolute need to rely on dodges and parries to keep flow going hurts Braver tremendously. Not quite as necessary with Slayer. All you need to do is a quick dash attack into a group of enemies with the aforementioned Fixas set up and you're basically back to full. If one enemy, usually a single charge charged shot does the trick. This is coming from someone that really wanted to like Braver btw. I don't write this lightly. Also a Techer main. Wand is good for the AOE and splash, but I favor Talis. The three way formation is busted in PSE bursts, but I sub wand for when I go solo. Wand is great if you don't have a team, but if you have a solid team, Talis all the way. You'll never run out of PP if you sub force, so you have no reason to not do it. You'll be pumping out Tricky capacitors left and right, compound spells are stupid easy to fill, and the same can go for the photon blast. Only problem I've seen with Techter is that not enough Techters know how to use Shifta/Deband right. Criminally underrated class since a well placed Shifta/Deband can do as much good as Blight Rounds. Combine the two? DPS is going to have a field day.
Thank you for sharing your input and personal thoughts about the classes that you've played! I did notice that you stated you'd need to dual potency Braver. They changed classes like Braver & Bouncer to have a passive ability in the skill tree that you can put a single point in that will use your highest potency between the types as your main potency. So if you're Braver and your highest potency is Melee Potency, this will carry over to your Ranged weapons as well. Vise versa. Likewise, Bouncer would be Melee or Tech. This will help solve the issue you're experiencing there. I hope that helps to better your enjoyment of the Braver class!
@@Spikesxu I keep forgetting about that lol. I do need to go back and try again with that but my other issues are still gonna be a problem play style wise.
