Weird thing is, while I didn't notice the actual changes the after the first viewing, I did distinctly hear the sounds that were produced (people changing shirts, pulling off the tablecloth, etc.) I remember thinking, "Huh, fair bit of background noise in this video" and still failing to realize what was going on.
I thought the same thing! Kudos to the person running the camera too! That was a task in itself zooming in and out far enough so as not to reveal what was going on!
I love that they have the gorilla sitting there in the reveal footage. I expect it is an acknowledgement of the earlier selective attention tests that include a gorilla walking through a group of people bouncing and passing basketballs.
It's called "Memory Bias" all of it happened right in front of your eyes and you should have memorized it as soon as it registered in your head. But your brain doesn't like admitting it doesn't know, so it lies. It tricks itself into believing nothing changed. It will rewrite your memories to make it seem like it was always that way, destroy your own perception of reality to make sense out something impossible, or outright erase it.
+Jango16 i dont think it matter too much, since the card was no secret. Even if she took another card, he gonna swap the whole set of cards with a new set.
What's more amazing that I came from an audiobook called "The Skeptics' guide to the universe" and they were specifically talking about "change blindness" 😃
How Sarah chose the right card: This was rehearsed over and over so that Sarah knows she needs to choose the three of diamonds. When she knows this, the crew take out the red backed three of diamonds from the red backed deck, and at 2:07 Richard swaps out the blue backs for the red backs.
I saw all the changes, and I'll tell you what else I THINK I bore witness to, in the person of Richards lovely and capable assistant? ... the unmasking... of the quirkology ninja...!? 😊😊😊
It kind of happens in "The Shining". During the movie, furniture and other things, disappear or move throughout the movie. They said that Kubrick did it to make the movie creepier, by playing with the audience's subconscious. Look it up. There is a lot of videos on RUclips about it.
At first I was like "Hey didn't they have a different color shirt?" And then the backround, then I was confused, then I got to the end of the video and I was like...oh.
This channel is really funny, I was ready to be so unimpressed by the end, because it was an extremely easy trick... to swap the deck with so many LOOOONG zooms... but then they reveal they also changed colors of everything else and I never noticed... and its great :D
I noticed them all...I didn't remember what the color of the shirts were before they changed, but the green shirt was bright and caught my attention...and I was like 'she didn't have that before!' Then I figured that they were changing everything and noticed all 4 of the changes...I feel special :)

They were roleplaying and pretending to be tricky. Sara knew what was happening, we were the people they were trying to trick. Sara was all part of the plan.
Also, either "nothing" should be "anything", or you should exclude "didn't". If you "didn't notice nothing", that means you noticed 1 or more things. Nothing means zero things. If you noticed zero things, then you would say "I noticed nothing." Anything means one nonspecific thing. two or more things qualifies as anything (even though two or more is greater than one) because noticing multiple things is the same as noticing one (not necessarily the same) thing many times. If you didn't notice one or more of any number of things, then you would say "I didn't notice anything." That was fun to think about. :)
On my work we are creating Apps.
