Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Jim Gordon, Carl Radle, Bobby Whitlock. Derek trucks & this band are THE most reminiscent, & evocative of the original. Not to mention the spirit of Duane right there.
I find it cool that Susan was born on the day of the release of this album. She is tied to this music by voice, playing as well as her age & her husband and his connection
I loved the way Trey plays on this song alongside Dereks otherworldly soloing. After the last verse, when he also solos with less flair but with impeccable vibrato and sustain technique the mixture of the two guitars (while Lucas Nelson and Susan are doing the rhythm work behind them) is just perfect playing together.
Love it to bad you didn't play 5 days before at my first Crossroads...❤ u still love my TTB just disappointed because I will never have the chance to see you play with Eric live ❤ breaks this long time fan of both heart❤
