Um, spamming doesn't really exist.
@@KhaliKaizen ik its a year old comment lol. But spamming does exist, but people don't really get what it means. Spamming isn't JUST using a move over and over, it's using the move without abandon. Zoners get a bad rep because the playstyle is percieved as just spamming attacks from full screen, when in reality, a good zoner actually pays attention to the opponents movement habits and is only reacting accordingly.

Jiren well deserved these buffs, he is a mayor character and a very very powerful one. They did it right on Goku UI but not for Jiren until now.

It's hard to tell whether an AI or a player is playing against Fenritti
I predict that Jiren will rise to at least upper mid tier.
Why? Not because of his own buffs but because how they shorted the recharge time for the assist. Now Jiren can easily protect all of his counters and command grabs with assists.
UI Goku, BaseKu, Roshi, Z Broly C, S Broly C, 18, 17 are going to be perfect for him this season.
They didn't change assist recharge. Also he'll be top tier because his counter is simply broken

@@codyw1023 They didnt reduce the recharge they reduced the startup of the moves. About Jiren, just wait a few weeks. This move can't even be punished properly because of the low recovery and his ability to hold it.

You’re telling me that Fenritti, of ALLL people, doesn’t know the Roshi TOD and doesn’t do it
this is early stuff and he probably mainly picked roshi to abuse the defensive/both sides aspect of the assist (along with giving decent mix) - as you can see, he's often putting up the stance then calling assist so they can't whiff punish him/get punished themselves for being too hasty

Everyone saying the counter is broken my defense is this: yes it can counter all moves that aren’t supers but at the end of the day it’s only doing 1500 damage. “Oh but you can follow up with vanish” true but unless you don’t know, the damage after a vanished counter impact is SEVERELY scaled, as in barely any damage whatsoever, you’d be lucky so land 3000 damage after a counter impact vanish. Counter impact is balance the by the fact that while It can practically beat anything, you aren’t getting much out of the counter anyway. That and it has 20 frames of recovery so misuse will get Jiren heavily punished.

@@exaltedplant7787 I was joking but yeah I disagree I am not sure if the move is overpowered or not but it made the character as boring as UI goku literally everyone plays them the same way, the same neutral and the same combos in the same situations! I am with buffing characters like jiren, videl, etc but I feel the move still needs a bit more tweaks
حسام عبدالقادر that id have to disagree with. Yeah it’s true that everyone plays Jirens neutral the same way but doesn’t that apply to literally every other character? Also Jirens combos vary a lot. He has his M infinity rush H combo in the corner, the basic M infinity rush DR, combo, bomb loop combos, H infinity rush mid screen combo extensions. You aren’t wrong about UI goku (hes fücking boring to watch) but at least Jiren has to some variety in his combo. Though if counter impact is still too strong it could at least not beat out DR.

The buffs on the counter are really great but it should just work on ki blast/beams and assist it's kinda ridiculous that it works for every single hit

It counters pretty much everything except for supers. Physical attacks, projectiles, assists and even command grabs and DR get beaten by it
@@Golden-pm8sn so if i'm holding block, call an assist, and Jiren uses a counter, I 100% still get hit even if i'm blocking?
@@Sparda92 yes but you can vanish in time to safe yourself or a move with invincibility on startup (like a dp or lvl3) to immediately attack Jiren when he tries to grab, but then he can also vanish to safe himself from that
