Thanks for keeping up the reviews Tim. Keep the content coming! I started with my 1st scooter early this summer and there has already been a rapid growth of choices available. You help us keep up to better decide what the next scooter choice will be. Cheers and stay safe!
Yeah, for me it was between the Touring or the Fluid Mosquito. I ended up going with the Touring because it's got great reliability reviews in part because spare parts are readily available from Voro motors.
Would be great to get an idea on how it is on inclines/hills with you being a big guy! My Pure Air Pro is great with me (265 lbs) on the flats but stuggles with anything over a slight incline
In my experience it was pretty slow on the hills with my frame on it. I think for bigger guys if there are any hills a minimum of twin 500 watt motors is required :) How do you find the range on your Pure Air Pro? Cheers @Ricky Burlingham
@@TimsElectric yeah I'm thinking the emove cruiser is the way to go. The thing is privately owned e scooters are currently illegal in the UK and that's a lot of money down the pan if I get it confiscated. The police are coming down heavily on people they catch riding them, they're crushing the scooters and fining the riders. The gov are due to make an announcement on 10th May regarding e scooters, hopefully they will be legalising them, however there was talk of a limit in motor size and maximum top speed (15.5mph), so the cruiser might still not be legal anyway which is why im holding off for now. The Touring might just scrape through and be legal. Regarding the Pure Air Pro, I'm right on the maximum weight limit for this scooter and this reduces the range considerably, it's rated at 25 miles average but I seldom see more than 10 miles.
Hi Timothy - I’m in the U.K. and thinking of getting my first scooter. I’m a little heavier than you and think this scooter maybe viable - is this the best scooter for the price or is there something comparable - thanks 🙂
I really don't think it would be a good fit for you Jon. it was an ok scooter ...but it didn't have the power for any speed and it struggled on the hills. Maybe take a peek through my other videos and you might see something you like. Zero 10x, Varla, Dualtron, etc....Qiewa Where do you like in the UK? and what type of riding are you thinking of doing?
@@TimsElectric I live on the south coast, just need a scooter for short runs (there maybe hills involved!) to the shops or a quick ride through the park (when the weather gets better). I have purchased a Wideboy LR (don’t know if they sell them in Canada) if it doesn’t work out, I will give it to my fiancée and just save up for something more substantial 🙂
You're welcome, I would also look at the Speedway Leger, and Uscooter...the Uscooter in particular has really impressed me..it get's me around town and it's super light :) I've reviewed two different ones recently :)
I believe so....I'm going to grab a model that's a lot lighter for a test on it ...possibly later today :) Although Micah at Elektrek did a review and he hit 35 or more easily.
typically I need 2-3 hours for a review and a full day for a range test :) ...so I do them separately...hope to do one very soon...off later this morning to review another machine :)
