Yasuke was not a samurai but a retainer of Oda Nobunaga who liked the oddity of his skin (Yasuke was the first black man he saw). There is only one record where he fought someone after Nobunaga's suicide but it is not clear if he just participated in a little brawl or something more. He was only in Japan for 4 years. Black samurai is a myth, he was more like a paige I thought the jist of these games was to be historically accurate than anything. Not even worth mentioning. Now it is just another diversity hit job, dude should've been a samurai general but instead got the do boy of the lowest samurai.

This franshice lost it soul after desmond disappear. Love the franchise from the beginning but lose intressant after broterhood. Played them all but it aint as it was in the beginning. A solid story now it aint about the story just history lessons.
LMAO Desmond was a whiny little child. getting rid of him was the best thing they could do to revive the series. Black Flag perfected the PS3 era controls. Unity is perfect and deserves more copies and Odyssey is easily the best game in history and Valhalla is not far behind that. I hope Red lives up to Odyssey but Yasuke is a terrible choice for a protagonist.
the real problem is them killing off Desmond in the IRL aspect and gave the game no direction. that was IMO the best part the and the ltieralt original purpose of these game/ the animus. a war brtween good and evil assassins vs templars and use this animus to go back in time to find pwoerful objects to sway the "war" in current times. assassins to get and seal them away from power hungry greedy ppl and evil aka templars. goign in the animus and doing this shit has a purpose after they decidded to kill desmond and came up wioth teh silkly absurd IRL crap. sayhing an annihlation event potentially coming and kill desmond adn dont go into this 1st civilization city every1 playhing that game was liek cmon let us in and explore it. and all then cool mystery shit liek finding the peice to find the "adam and eve" clip and ocne u ge tthem all the whole video is peioces together and u see adam and eve and ujr like holy shit. origin of humanity essentially. right after they were like "now what?" and gave up on the IRL aspect of it and just did randsom shit and now in origin./odyssey have now a new anilhation event coming and its just silly and ridiculous and just complelty veered off the oreigina plot of the series. if ur giving up on IRL aspect of game dont need to stick to "assassins vs templsrs" anymore. IT TOTALY LSOT ITS IDENTITY . its like cool great keep randomly revisting poast in differnt locales still fun and ill keep playing eahc new one as ive played every single AC game since AC1 LAUNCH (MINUS THE min spinoff chronicles ones) IMO feudal japan one is mos imoprtant one they'll ever make other than maybe CURRENT TIME one and maybne one in FUTURE lkike assassins creed cyberpunk version. they need to rbing true COOP to assassins creed imagine coop story mode. i admit the combat system needs a massive revamp its kinda sucks shit. the assassination shit cool but when ur fighting wiht ur weapons looks kinda shit and silly. just hope it doesnt end up being adisappointment

I think Yasuke was a choice based on...historical japanese figure that most ppl would know because of the shows and anime, but mysterious enough where they can make him be anything or die any way without the history buffs losing their mind at the innacuracy. If they had used the more popular and famous japanese samuaris their hands would be tied, cant deviate from his real life events. And also tbh Yasuke is their differentiating factor that they use to prevent being compared to Ghost of Tsushima.
