OMG 😮 I truly hope you don't feel like you're skill, professionalism, craftsmanship and sharing of your knowledge and skills are any less than the man you displayed on your last vid. aka potential documentary of his skills. Your knowledge and his knowledge along with thatchers and the basket weaver are all skills and trades that only naive ppl don't recognize. Unfortunately that's 80+%of the global population. Plz don't ever think that what you do isn't worth doing or sharing with the world.
You have the greatest disposition and are always smiling. You will become something in your day. You are bright, quick witted, and have a keen mind plus are creative. Wish you only the best.
I really enjoy your work. I went to Ireland on my honeymoon and totally agree the closer to the center the more fun the island was. Also my dad would sharpen his pickaxe from time to time before using it. Keep up the good work.
I've never been to Ireland. But I have seen a Old map of the country and I saw a area called MURRAY. are these counties's providence's, townships . or a reference to the agencies governing the region. Please respond, thanks, PEACE..
Definitely follow your gut with college and take the chances, you don’t want to regret not taking an opportunity. Although you may want to finish your degree eventually even if its slowly over a few extra years. I’ve been loving all of your videos and you’ve inspired me to pickup some old tools from some local flea markets and begin restoring them. Would love to visit Ireland sometime, love your country, its history/culture and its natural beauties.
Guy a couple doors down is having a yard sale this weekend. I picked up a small hand plane in good shape and a hatchet that needs a new handle for $8 total.
Think I have a Stanley Nr. 8 or 9 in my shed. It has a few grooves along the sole to reduce friction because it's so long.😅 Beautifully long flat surfaces, though!
I'm not a seasoned pick-axe user but I used to give tours at a mining ghost-town, and from what I understand, they sharpened the picks differently for different uses. Sometimes the tips were flat like a chisel or pointed like a pyramid. They were sharp-ish, but not like an axe. More like a wedge.
Thanks for your fair and honest comparison of these machines. I am biased towards Shopsmith, but I see the merit of stand alone machines in a big shop, especially when it's a professional production outfit.
As a student in college, I’d say if you only have a year left balance the channel and classes as best you can because that degree would be the best backstop you could have if content goes south for some random reason. Content isn’t consistent but education is.
Some of you should learn to mold and makes maybe even bake first because I've seen the word that you guys are using and the fibers are just not even usable I mean literally I can barely use them for a window well
I hope I can catch you next time. I can understand gettin into it with someone that took your hat. You just don't touch a man's hat and you damn sure don't take it off his head.
I just recently started woodworking because of your videos, you're so inspirational!
Same
And thank you so much for helping with sharpening my planes and chisel's!

Your videos are always interesting and you have a way with communicating well with the camera.
What are you studying in college...just curious. Don't spend the money unless you REALLY want the degree

My family is from Cork and Waterford so I’m pretty sure that’s the best part of Éire!

American accent please. We have a good sense of humor and if you find someone who doesn't we don't want them.
Judging by how often you use it, Stanley Number 5
Your amazing thank you sir 🙏 🙌🏼
Do you ever come to Texas? Open invite to hold a class at the farm
Low angle block plane
I'd enjoy a pint of plain with you

I was asked to teach traditional woodworking at a pioneer themed farm. I think that would be fun

The spacing of the third beam from the screen left is bothering me
I use my #5 all the time. I keep a separate scrub blade for it
