I know I'm late to the party, but I'm making one of these now, and it is so cool. It's forcing me out of my comfort zone, and making me think... Thank you so much for the video.

Es usted un artista es un gusto observarle trabajando qué delicadeza en sus movimientos de manos y de herramienta enhorabuena amigo a mí también me gustaría algún día poder hacer las cosas como usted
I am amazed at your creativity sir. I have been working with wood for more than seventy years and am not easily impressed by the work of others. I also suffer from O.C.D. so, corners must be square and even, sliding parts must never hang and anything made must be able to be used by everyone. I simply love the simplicity of your creation. I can see myself making these not only for my drill press but for my router table and band saw also....keeping my old fingers away from the cutting edges of blades of any type is a preoccupation of mine. In any case, my hat is off to you sir.
Just when I think you've made everything, you come along and put out another great idea. I love your gentle precision and look forward to seeing you again! Thanks for sharing.
Great work! Thanks for sharing with us. I love that all is made from wood only (except some screws of course). Also the smooth precision is just great.
Brilliant idea which I intend to use immediately. It appears that you've used hardwood that makes sense. I imagine a couple of potential improvements I wish to add to my version. First, I'd avoid presenting wood's side grain to the dovetail grove's overhang. I imagine that it could be better supported be running wood grain across it. In my attempt to do this, I'd build up the top section with pieces from a pallet plained flat and assembled in a glue up for three layers in exchange for the two you employ. Only my top section would be pivoted from perpendicular in order to cross the lower section with a mitre angel... 45°. This incline would slant the wood grain in order to support the weak point against the strain that can be expected from cinching down against the dovetail groove. In areas where high pressures are expected, further support can be given by aiming a sequence of screws upward from the bottom. My other alteration would use a circular sacrificial piece in the place that the drill bit is expected to erode. Even better would be to so place a smaller circle in the large circle so the sacrificial small one can be turned in place under the bit for countless opportunities to resist drill damage. The larger circle would be given a tapered edge because it can be entrapped during glue up. If done wisely, it could advance three sacrificial small circles in turn, each the same size and most easily replaceable. Thanks for your thought provoking video.
One of the most inspirational jigs I have seen from DIY here on RUclips! When I get my worrkshop up and running I will try to make something similar. Ten thumbs up!
As always, really great! This gave me an idea for a project that I need to do. I need something to slide and I really like the 45 degree cuts you made to allow that piece to slide.
Hi Mr. J, That is a handy and versatile table for the drill press. I like the blocks you added underneath, which will make sure the table is always aligned on the drill press. Thank you for the video! -mike

Great design. I'd like to know more about that drill bit (6:06). It looks to be drilling a starter hole as well as countersinking all at the same time. Got an affiliate link to the item?

the thought that so far is having to buy some rail kits, just enough to use the wood completely.
Thanks for watching sir.

Have a plan for this.
Safety police here. Don’t be reaching over the blade like that. Also your fingers come too close to the blade too often.
Que calidad de trabajo y de bien hecho. Te felicito excelente trabajo.
Thanks for watching sir.

Sorry I don't have plans.
Thanks for watching sir.
I really liked this project, are you selling it?
No, it's for me.
Thanks for watching sir.
Very wonderful job but I have a question: Which kind of wood used for this plan?
I think it was 2 small hardwood cutting boards he purchased somewhere or 2 pieces of flooring.
Hi great build .The wood you used ? Looks like kitchen work top
It is rubber panel. I use it for better presentation. Plywood would be enough for general work shops.
Thanks for watching sir.

Fantastic, muito bom , excelente, Brasil 🇧🇷
Cho Un Sengak Imnida!
Wouldn't the humidity make the table spin?
Yes I think so.
It's just a shame we can't get Micky wood in Europe and I can't think of anything else hard enough that wouldn't cost a fortune (ply wouldn't work)
