This press has worked like a charm for my projects ruclips.net/user/postUgkxajoEbapTfqWaadnqb04h6U576yxXp-FE . I didn't even secure it to my table top, mainly due to the fact that I was using a 15 lbs drill vise. It's not flimsy at all as to what others have claimed it to be. Make sure the locking nuts and levers are secured and there won't be any issues with light pressure and patience. I was able to drill through aluminum, plastic, and steel (steel took a while) with no problems at all. Yeah it took a little longer than a regular drill press, but I don't have the space OR the money for one.The instruction manual was worthless, but luckily assembling the press was intuitive. However, the manual would be good for ordering replacement parts if needed. There is a nice breakdown of the parts that are included in the kit. Before ordering, make sure it is compatible with your unit, it is clearly stated what models the press is compatible with. This was an excellent purchase for $40!!

This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.

Wow, hello. This second video leaves me ADMIRED by the quality of your realization, they are masterpieces. And also on my hunger, for a neophyte like me, on the products you use, for example at minute 5:11. Of course you don't have to reveal all your manufacturing secrets, I understand. I can only applaud the quality of your work. Thank you for sharing. Sincerely. Etienne ------
Waouh, bonjour. Cordialement. Etienne

It gives me bad memories to see that you’re not wearing proper eye protection while using a pneumatic nailer! In my middle age days, we went camping a lot with our children, well anyway this young father of four who was a carpet installer stopped going camping with us because he got fired due to a staple injury (guess where & why). I myself had 2 strikes (close calls) & subsequent numerous foul balls (was religiously wearing eye protection). Keep up the excellent craftsmanship & eyes!

Respect for the lot of work, a super drilling table.
A little note, put a round disc under the drilling circle as a sacrificial piece of wood. Then you only need to keep turning and always have a clean base. LG handicraft grandpa.

It should be noted that if you don't level the top with epoxy and gravity, the edging better be joined and also all that sanding will make the top not as flat as it can unless you are super careful about sanding evenly. Also, after your glue-up of the 2 sheets of 3/4 inch plywood, there is a chance the table will curve up or down. Since my drill press stock metal base is small, I planed a 2x4 and checked with a trusted straight edge from Fulton. I put that inset as far as I could, underneath from left to right. I counter sunk about 15 pan head screws, which were counter sunk with a forstner bit. I did not glue it in case I needed to make a change. I rounder the edges to my liking. There are a lot of gotcha with these. One would be if your table saw is not dead 90 degrees, your edging will not miter properly. I bet I have $250.00 + with the wood, screws, fence, t-track formica, and router bits. Along with a vix bit for the screws and also the brass threaded inserts and thumb screws. Also a plug cutter for plug cutter for the edging screw holes. I did not want to nail it because I wanted the edging to also help with warping as I live near water. There are 20 or 30 details that needed to be thought out, if you've never done this before. I have a few months into it, working a few short days per week. As for the replaceable cut out, I will be adding flat topped leveling screws to accommodate inaccurate plywood sizes. Also, my table has formica and my inserts will be bare plywood, maybe with some light finish. So getting that depth cut right will take a moment to think it out. That's another reason I want the leveling screws under the insert. I'm still trying to figure out if I want a 4x4 square or about that size round. I think square is better because it's easier to crank out inserts accurately on the table saw. Personally, I'd like the ruler to be adjustable. I still have to work out the press' hight adjuster issue hitting. I'll probably use a 90 degree drill adapter and some rods and a new handle in the front on that 2x4 support. Making a drawer box underneath is really not a bad idea. I don't have that figure out yet. Hope this helps someone.
