In this video I talk about the undead, specifically focusing on the Forsaken and how powerful they are in the lore. Covering the lore from their creation up to the current events in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth.

I always liked this explanation when it comes to physical power in the forsaken: " A stormwind Knight may move quicker, hit harder and block better. But he'll get tired. Eventually, he can't continue fighting and that is when the Deathguard infront of him who has sustained all he had to give moves in for the kill."
That is so perfectly terrifying. I do not believe The Forsaken are taken seriously enough as a whole.
GradeDadUnderDad Even if you break a limb off an undead, even that wouldn’t stop them.
@@fumarc4501 Then just cut all their limbs X'D sure they won't die but they would be useless X'D
@FA Rocks “It’s just a flesh wound.”
@@fumarc4501 That would stop you from functioning XD that is the key point--What is the meaning of not being dead if you can't even move of function :P
@FA Rocks “alright, we’ll call it a draw.”
It's honestly really hard to tell that Sylvanas is an undead when you look at her. To me she's just a gray elf.
Isnt she a bashee? More ghost hybrid
Her vessel is a High Elf but she's a banshee nonetheless
@@kaistrength High elf, not a blood elf
I changed my mind I want how powerful are Murlocs
ArthaStark I mean they did kill vol'jins dad.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
“I am Murloc, I am death.” -Chieftains
You want how powerful are Murlocks?
What does that mean?
conclusion of every single "How powerful video": They are very strong/powerful....
really Doron?
“She obviously has a higher quality necromancy to keep her body together” aka “she’s hot yo!”
xxFairestxx The Horde has had Necromancers since WC1. The Necrolytes would know a thing or two about maintaining corpses.
Which is very disturbing because she' also very dead.
Xanders ZunSol Sylvannas was never a night elf hahah. Wtf are you smoking? Maybe the same model was used but yeah. Sylvannas has switched bodies atleast once or has had it repaired some way. We know the bodies rot and will eventually fall apart. Kind of like how Nathanos use to be all droopy and bleh, but then they used his nephews or some relatives body for Nathanos.
Would you consider making a VS series between the factions? I would like to know which would defeat the Forsaken, and which the Forsaken would defeat. Maybe you could even make a power ranking? Just the individual race factions, of course.
This actually sounds like a great idea!
@@mathiassvendsen9788 Thank you for saying so. I hope Doron sees this. He talks about how powerful the undead are, but since he does not compare them to anything there is no reference to how powerful they actually are.
For example; I personally think the tauren would do some real damage to the Forsaken due to their body shattering force, while the trolls with heir light primitive weapons would have quite a hard time stopping the undead.
GradeDadUnderDad good idea though
Based on some of their features ingame, I think Forsaken are even more resistant to mind control than typical Undead, due to them having broken free from the Lich King's will and now being able to break out of a mind control spell every once in awhile (Will of the Forsaken racial). While this hasn't been a feature since early Vanilla for balance reasons, they did use to be classified as Undead types of creatures rather than Humanoids (including the player characters), so spells against them like Exorcism or Shackle Undead were extra effective. Perhaps they made the game balancing a lore feature to where they could resist simple spells of Light magic, but overall that is still their biggest weakness.
Also worth mentioning that Sylvanas' Val'kyr seem to have no trouble raising common corpses (whether after the first death or after they were Forsaken that fell again), it's only with Sylvanas that one of them has to sacrifice herself to resurrect. Of the original 9 that joined Sylvanas after Wrath, only 3 remain at this time, so as long as they are not killed the Forsaken can still bolster their ranks indefinitely.
And it would be remiss to not mention their greatest weapon, the Forsaken Plague/Blight. It is pretty much a "kill everything that isn't super powerful" substance at this point in that it kills both living and undead. They have gas masks to handle it themselves but if they didn't they would be just as susceptible to dying to it. And as far as I know, when the substance is deployed in heavy amounts on the battlefield, it takes a LONG time for it to disperse and make the land hospitable again, even trying to walk around in Tirisfal now will kill you.
Forsaken Master Race! *Cross armed salute* !!!
This is a good video can you cover trolls next
I was always under the impression that the Forsaken had supernaturally enhanced strength due to their reanimation.
They may not be as strong as orcs, but surly they wield weapons and armour effectively… I mean, they have a whole faction called the Deathguard…
Forsaken Warrior FTW.
How cool would it be if over time, your body falls apart (cosmetically of course) and gives you the ability to use cannabalism to bring your body back together and look more "healthy"
Well if you word that differently you're still correct, cannibalism isn't needed for us living right now to stay alive, its regular food and our digestive/circulatory system. And of course the logical problem with undead is they wouldn't have a circulatory system or a digestive system, none of those means no energy thus no living cells thus no ability to move or do work. This break in logic makes the undead the most powerful "living" things in the entire game because they can simply out live everything, raise the dead to join their ranks and have a virtually unlimited population potential. The only thing that keeps the undead from destroying all of the living in the game is the ability to reason and or be controlled, thats why there has to be a lich king, thats why the undead don't just poison every farm or food supply to turn everyone into undead. If everyone is undead theres no more fun, undead have a higher urge to torture than kill which provides necessity to allow the living to procreate an proliferate at least within limits xD
I’m surprised Tauren and undead can even get along. Considering how Tauren feel about death and honering ancestors
Also how they get along with Goblins.
They do! Bloodhoof was sympathetic to their plight early on when the alliance rejected them. He brought them to Thrall who enlisted them into the horde.
Undead are the most truthfull image of Warcraft universe.
War is tragic, and in the world called "WarCraft", tragedy is inevitable.
Ther is no honour in war. Only fools think that there is anything great about war and fighting.
Only fools that would never be able to form a civilisation or prevent their people from becoming slaves/oppressed believe there is no honour in war. People with power that think like you are weak and shall perish before a stronger opponent.
@@Z0Dll your the uncililized. we will rise again
Sylvanas Windrunner is proof of the Undead's power.
I could see myself as a Forsaken Necromancer.
The Forsaken have also Dark Rangers and also they have Nathanos :) so kinda sad you don't mention in this video but still good job 👍
Szymon Kaliński and the plague/blight the strongest weapon from the undead tbh
@@tyrnial8095 Yup , the strongest and the most deadliest
They also smell/look like ass
FOR THE DARK LADY! and For the Horde!
A suggesting for your next video. I’d like to see how powerful are the Draenei. Because you’ve covered two horse races, it seems fair.
it would be fitting that clothiers and leatherworkers could fix undead... like sewing them or patching their skin
2:40 actually, being undead means that they have not to worry about overextending their muscles as much as living humans.
Being alive, we have certain limits over how much we can exert our muscles. Being dead means that we won't suffer more injuries like collapsing a vein, for example.
Are you saying you undead are real
????😮
@danyelah Tabaat. No, he or she just explained that logically undead real or fake can do more than us because body damage is not a problem to them. Also i think our living brains limit us to not being to use our full strength.
I can't be the only one who sees the Forsaken as a reference to the first world war?
Gas attacks, sour morals, and a constant rise in strength as conflict continues to brew on Azeroth? The longer war continues, the stronger they get. Not fighting the Forsaken on their terms is the only way you can beat them. (Using Worgen, hitting their blight production, striking at the top rather than the bottom first.)
Doron: "...she definitely has higher quality necrmancy to keep her together"
Yeah she does! Mhmmmmmmm
they might be hard to kill, but they are the easiest to dispatch/neutralise, since they can fall appart with even a simple touch, as the latest book has shown.
sure, they can later go to the apothecary and put on another limb, but combat-wise... they have to resort to strapping and stapling their body parts so they dont fall off.
and the fact that they have a very hard time experiencing positive emotions and ideas, makes them highly untrustworthy as allies.
Time for the Night Elf
well depends on which of the three groups of undead you are talking about, and yes while i know you are talking about the forsaken, it does need to be said that just saying undead can cover the forsaken, the scourge, or the wild.
I have a question, what makes the Forsaken such a good apothecary and alchemist?
I guess the culture.
They have a very flexible moral compass, which lets them do some seriously meesed up experiments and their physical sate probably allows them to get some first hand data and experience with chemicals.
If you need to maintain your body from completely decomposing, you will probably have at least basic knowledge of chemistry and probably anathomy.
What @@МаксимГригорьев-ъ7ф said. As well as the fact that I imagine self-experimentation could be quite effective since they are more resilient than the living (so long as they're not trying to create something that hurts the Undead).
Can you do one of these overviews on Blood Elves?????
Do "How Powerful Are Worgen 🐺🐺🐺?" next time. Please >:D
Aleksandar Vil as a worgen player I too would be interested by that
Worgens are actually pretty powerful in the lore.
Sean Campbell true, but it’s too bad Blizzard forgot all of them except Genn Greymane
Ilija Kovachevich I mean they are coming back in darkshore.
Rio Lopez ?
forsaken bring up a good point. when you have nothing but time (because essentially you cannot die), what do you do with it?
I'd just like to point out that even though whe associate being the best archers, gunners etc with elves in my opinion that is definitely not the case. Elves like any other living creature breathes, and blood flows through them. Because of that their hands have (even if minimal) movement. That means any living creature will never be 100% accurate with their long ranged weapons, unless they are well, dead. So what im getting at is that azeroth's finest marksman will always be those whom have turned undead
Great video, watched the blood elf one too. One thing though, the character height 5ft-6ft is not 170-180cm it should it be 152cm to 182? 10cm would only be a 4" difference.
Is Sylvanna also undead? she looks pretty well
Yes she is undead and probably found a way to reverse and stop the rotting of her body.
She possessed her own corpse.
@@zombiedemon1762 thank you
@Galliano Marr. Your welcome
Great video!
How is there not an undead themed quest somewhere ingame with a Rick Grimes NPC yet. Injustice
Also remeber, since vanilla the forsaken have just been using the rest of the horde.
Let's get into the lore
I love your accent, for the horde!
Nice one tq for info
Hey doronsmovies Can you do a video ob the titans are the reason all bad happening think about it
Can you do How Powerful are Necromancers?
That intro always reminds me of a kids toy channel lmao
Why do the captions come on when I click this video? It only happens with this video. Very weird.
The biggest problem would have been mass while clashing with other beings. Even they parry your weapon coz of mass distrubition, they should fling to sides. Other then that magic part is way to go coz you cant die by natural couses u can practice any magic without harm.even tho im horde player i hate undeads with skelly features totaly nosense to me but sylvanas type of undead or deadknights type undead are acceptable.
do worgens pls
Great video, thanks ily
If the undead include all races (because everyone dies), why are there no undead dwarfes?
How powerful was the Fel Horde?
why no undead tauren and orcs?
I tink we are all inside just like the forsaken, difrent, monsters. We were forsked from uor loved ones for the way we are,a way that didn't depended on us,but we are cursed to live with.We fight for our survival day by day in this hostile world who wants us dead,we do horrible things to natura in order to live another day,but all inside still hollow and empty.Humans are no difrent of the undead,we are able do do everything in order to live,we are dead inside and hate the ones that are not like us,this should be a lesson for us all,to be better,to help each other and get past difrenses or flows,to accept the difrent and try to love.
Just my opinion
I hope Banshees become playable someday. :)
Lets be honest, this is how a fight really would go down against an undead.

To be honest they SOUND like a collective "cursed with awsome faction", no serious disadvantages, virtual immortality, unlimited stamina, and can command various dark magics like no other group. Other than being a little depressed and even that doesn't seem to be too much of a bother, because y'know everyone, including the still living experience sadness from time to time, NO BIG deal at all unless your a SUPER sensitive person, not something unique to being undead.
Being undead atleast in much of what I've read or heard from within the Warcraft universe or player forums *seems to be objectively better than being alive,* so then it's a wonder; *what's the point, where's the tragedy in undeath?* Heck even in a lot of the forums I've visited over the years, *many folks have had a seriously hard time coming up with solid reasons why someone wouldn't want to be undead that were more than a mere annoyance at worst!*
Call me old fashioned but I've always find classic walking blights apone the land of the living kind of undead much better, more compelling and can serve very unique narrative purposes within story telling that no other actors can. *That tragedy of lost life, the warmth of the world ever gone from one's touch, forever doomed to a cursed existence. That these spectators and wrights are not "evil" but pitiable creatures, trapped in between worlds, seeking rest and release from their tormented existence.* And more importantly that the living that banish or 'slay' these stranded souls (undead) is an act of mercy not malevolence born of ignorance.
Far to often the undead are used as some thinly veiled commentary on discrimination or unsubtle jabbing of traditions, being undead, being caught between life and death isn't treated with trepidation or sobriety, it's sopposed to be an inherently horrid experience that holds the potential for some real drama and highlighting things like dealing with the pian of lost loved ones or coming to terms with our own mortality. There is peace in death not fear, it isn't out to get us only to fill an crucial function in the world.
*Death is not some enemy to fight but rather it's our oldest caretaker, there needs to be good reason why things need to die and more importantly stay dead,* Death does what it does out of a sense of duty, pity and sorrow, it should play an important role in maintaining stability and normalcy for existence, sparing us (mortals) of fates far worse than dying.
Plus a lot of time in fantasy (demistyfied) necromancy and the (self-righteous) undead seems to be the go to endorsement tools of "moral relativism" to the point it becomes kinda, gratingly preachy and at worst ironically dogmatic.
*I really liked the concept of balancing life and death as druids, as opposed to just focusing on life and ignoring death's somber and rightfully respected place in nature.*
Decomposition, Necromancy mind control, holy light, and a lot of undead aren't sentient or as powerful as the other ones. You can just off a forsaken by hanging them up for a week
I can agree with you on the rest but it's easy as shooting off the skull or blowing up the body of an undead to kill them like Sylvanas got shot (only forsaken undead though)
A lot of evil mages want to become liches because they're just better in every way too
I wonder how powerful would be the Blight against forces of the Old Gods...
It probably wouldn't work
Im gonna turn my orc walock to an undead now
Dennis Svejdal did u do it ?
i am the solo who didn`t play WoW but played Warcraft 3 and end it?
So basically they are just a stronger zombies
And smarter. Some zombies are smart like the Forsaken though.
whats the song? at the begining?
Like any undead, their strength is within their numbers. The Scourge is a perfect example, without the Lich King to control em, the Scourge would bring a complete apocalypse over Azeroth, annihilating every living thing in it's path and there would be nothing to stop them. Add Lich King in the whole scenario and the likes of Kelthuzad, their numbers are truly infinite, where one falls, two more take it's place. Their arsenal and firepower is massive, to say the least, as far as lore and WotlK in-game goes.
#NotificationSquad ✨ Great video❣️🙌
undead, depending on how their body has decomposed are very easy to kill. hit them in their exposed joints hard enough to seperate the bones of the joint and once the undead is just a flailing torso and limb stubs you can go about effortlessly killing them. now if the necromancy holding their decaying bodies together is quite strong this method wont work, like in sylvanas's case or an abomination's case. but our player character undead? gimme them kneecaps boi.
Not enough to not have died
So every race is very very powerful , and there is no weak one, what the point then in this videos if every race is so much powerful?
Do you have plans for trolls or elves

what few people get about undead as forsaken for example is that the plague that raised them is magical, why do you think their eyes glow? Unholy streanght ftw
I thought the plague was just a weapon against Arthas. Those angel like things create more of the forsaken.
Their strength is unholy? How do you know? They sound like they are physically weaker than living humans but can use a stronger amount of any magic type because body damage is not a problem.
Zoomer alert
@Liskenstein. What is a Zoomer alert? Is it related to Doomer and Boomer?
Yes mortal! and edit. Why does alliance have more fanbois than horde these days? Live action superhero movies also known as capeshit. Most forsaken where created from the scourge, did you even play wc3? Im looking for a word..hmm. oh right.. souless
FOR THE DARK LADYYYYY
So are they useless e.g. as warriors in lore (with the structure of their body and all of that)? Because I don't know any significant lore character who is a warrior.
They don't die with phisycall wounds, so an army of undead Warriors could conquer any shit.
This entire city must be purged!

So...fail.
Purple Party Werewolf in the context of food- drinking the blood of one night elf is more sustaining because they’re living, meaning they have much more blood than the undead.
@@kyum_kyu if blood is power... in a way elves are more powerful, :b
No. They’re vampires. The more blood they consume, the more sustained energy they have. Night elves are living and have blood flowing through them. Undead do not.
A greater volume of blood does not equal greater power in this context, don’t really get where you’re getting that connection from. They drink blood for power, so if they drink more - from one night elf, they have more energy as opposed to the blood from one undead, because they have much less or none at all.

You end every video with "And overall, they are strong".
This kinda sucks and makes these videos pointless. Make it relevant to other races, or a ranking system, or something. Otherwise there is literally no point in assigning the adjective to them.
