Mann, John. This room looks absolutely amazing. So happy for you brother. You explaining the story behind your pieces is one of the big reasons I respect you so much, it's because you put so much love and sentiment into your relationships man. It's really hard to find such a person like this, today. God bless.
John is a all around good God fearing man. He's always smiling and I've never heard a negative word come from his lips. I'd be honored to have a cup of joe with the living legend, the one and only JOHN HANCOCK! Keep on smiling my friend! You help a lot of people. You are a good man! :)
Hey John.. Just want to thank you for thoughtful videos with purpose and most of all keeping them clean so I can watch with my kids around. Good clean, good quality, interesting videos. Congrats on your game room!
YES!! Amen to not having a need to curse! There are many great RUclipsrs that I’d like to watch with my son but I can’t due to their penchant to curse.
Nothing wrong with swearing. You know for a fact though that John Hancock will not allow anything age restrictive into his content and it is great that any child of any age can watch his videos, learn and not hear or see anything too soon.
I love what you bring to the gaming community. You're a perfect example of nostalgic value too. You're after what's important to you personally. Not caught up in what other people think are the hot ticket items. It's very clear you were into this way before the game collecting boom. All the best sir! Thanks for the videos 👍🏼
I love the price stickers. A lot of collectors don't like them. I remember buying first gen game boy games at k&b in the mall with actual change. Memories, man. That what it's about. :)
You are my inspiration. I'm 34 and I've had my collection stolen when I joined the army, and like you used to take advantage of the clearance bins back in the day. I have had to rebuy much of my collection, and recently got back above 3000 games. It took persistence and patience. I definitely strive to have a collection like yours one day, no matter how difficult it is. Super happy that you have found your passion, and it's apparent in your videos.
I'm 42..and I just love the new game room. I too have a penchant for Atari and Colecovision because it is what I started with and got me into gaming. *HAPPY THANKSGIVING JOHN!*
Wow! This room contains so much that reminds me of my early childhood. I grew up playing the 2600 and I remember my friends having a lot of these consoles and computers at their house. Awesome!
Looks BEAUTIFUL john! Thanks for showing the rest of us collectors that dreams do come true! Been here through your ups and downs and losing your job. Thanks for being a true inspiration!
Wow, John that’s amazing!!!! Very nice job, very rarely see someone explain something so cool and not even think for a second that he is showing off. Such pride, just awesome
Simply amazing collection. Brought back so many good memories! I started with a Vic 20, Coleco, 2600, 5200, Commodore 64, Had two game and watches Oil Panic, the orange DK. Thanks so much for sharing!!!!
This is awesome. Congratulations on finally "finishing" this. I feel like we have been on this journey with you. Thank you for always having such great content.
Wow! You really put this room together amazingly. Took a small space & made it look huge. Such a great way to showcase all the classics. I'm glad you're keeping this part of gaming history alive. This room shows that you're a master at Tetris. To be able to showcase so much into here deserves a trophy. Cheers mate.
Congratulations John! My hats off to you buddy, great game room. Long time coming you deserve it man. I hope you have tons of good times in there. Cheers!
This is a welcome addition to my holiday. I love the oldschool, personally collect all eras and love the way you showcase everything. Much appreciated John
Wow! Great work, John! Congratulation on the room! I discovered your channel a few months ago thanks to MJR. Since then, I started at the beginning and just caught up to having seen all of your videos just yesterday in time for this room reveal! There is so much stuff you talk about that I can relate to. I’m 43. I started on a Telstar Pong unit when I probably wasn’t more than 3. Then the Atari. Then my all time favorite, the NES. I’m also a HUGE Star Wars fan which is my collecting passion. I own virtually every loose 3.75” figure ever made. I’m also a family man with a 9 year old son (named Lucas) whom I now share my passions of Star Wars and video games with. Keep up the great work on the channel. I love that you don’t do any fancy editing. It just makes your videos more “real” like we viewers are in the room with you hanging out. Cheers to you sir and game on!
Incredible, well done. My wife and I met during Pong and bought the first home unit just before our wedding. We have quite a collection also but nothing as complete as yours. Keep up the fun!!!
Wow, love your new set up John, what a transformation, been watching your updates, you must be so so pleased with it, bet it took some work but definitely more than worth it in the end, thanks for showing us your game room.
All the Atari stuff and pieces from that era are bringing back so many memories! Thanks for sharing, John. Congratulations on completing the room. Looks fantastic!
New to this channel and I must say... Simply Amazing and Inspiring! As a game collector there's been times of questioning by myself and by those close to me but seeing this guys channel and passion has reinvigorated my resolve so thank you for that!
Wow congratulations. I have been watching your videos for several months now. I must say this is a big improvement and your collection it’s absolutely amazing but now it looks even mor impressive. Thank you for posting this videos. I follow you from Costa Rica.
Your new room looks amazing! Your collection and setup looks great on it! I’ve been following all the videos regarding your expansion and I’m very glad you were able to accomplish this fine achievement. I’m very happy for you, John!!
something like this really shows the variety of game collectors out there, personally i'm not a fan of the pre-nes stuff, if i had a small expansion like this it would be completely focused on 90's gaming, snes/n64/ps1. Born in 84 i kinda missed the atari generation of gaming and was a little young to completely appreciate the nes, even though i still enjoy it. awesome video as always, congrats on the new room and you and the family have a happy thanksgiving
Never disappoints! Jason is right to entrust his collection eventually to you!! Rock on my friend....thanks for the glimpse into what I could only dream of...
There is guys with much bigger and in-depth collections. But, man I love his enthusiasm and his knowledge. Great collection, guys like you inspire me to keep building my collection.
I am so excited for you!!! I am looking forward to setting up my own game room in the future!! I learned a lot from watching this!! Thanks for sharing, John!!
An awesome guy in an awesome room. It's easy to see that you has so much love for these old games, and I have to respect the dedication you show to the hobby. God bless.
Awesome!!!! I love to hear the joy of your collection in you voice. I strive to be as enthused as you in my collecting but hard to do it when you want something and can't afford it the time or family kind makes fun of you for it. So at the present time I have put it on the back burner. But I will continue to watch and enjoy your collection and videos.
I love that you have TI-99 stuff in there. I learned to read on that system playing text adventures with my dad, and my brother, now a CIO, started his computer sciences education thanks to the Basic cart and magazines which had game coding for games like Spiders (Tron: Light Cycles clone) printed in the back. Thanks for showing off your collection, takes me back.
Parsec on the TI-99 was like magic. The spaceship had 3 modes of travel: fast, medium and slow. You selected the correct mode best suited to the level at hand. The ship had a laser beam that would fire continuously, but if held too long, would overheat and destroy the vessel. A unique and original game mechanic that I'm not aware of being repeated elsewhere. There are likely many, many other similarly unique ideas and game mechanics contained within this massive collection. Thanks for all the effort you have put into preserving this golden era of video games.
Congrats man! Looks great. It's great to see people sharing what they are passionate about. I know that the museum will come to fruition when the time is right. Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for sharing your passion with us. God bless.
Absolutely Epic and i dont use that word lightly or often i love ya john your so fun to watch i absolutely love just watching your passion i feel that your the most genuine and humble collector that ive ever seen and hope to meet you some day soon plus your have the most awesome collection that i have ever seen in my life you deserve what you have and you have so much passion for preservation and it warms my heart to see such a nice person succeed in his gaming dream so congratulations John
Truly cool. I think the people who collect for specific machines should collaborate on a museum project. Too many collectors dream about a museum and will never see one. We all need to organize and make it a reality.
John completely agree with all the positive comments, love the fact that you celebrate the classics. I was a 90's gamer playing systems like snes, sega mega drive, amiga commodore. we had atari as well lol. Your game room is looking epic. To get my gaming history fix i watch the immortal or metal jesus rocks.! You guys are legends.

Oh and by the way, happy turkey day!
Very impressive John, you did a great job!

Well said. Nuff' said. . .
Amazing collection. Cool seeing these different Retro systems

So happy for you John, I know this has been a long time coming and the video shows how proud you are of the room. Well done mate.

Awesome room John!!!! Really takes me back with those very memorable classics. My jaw dropped with the Tandy and Vic 20!!!
Congratulations John! My hats off to you buddy, great game room. Long time coming you deserve it man. I hope you have tons of good times in there. Cheers!
I get you want to open up a museum but man I would not want to get rid of that room.
This is a welcome addition to my holiday. I love the oldschool, personally collect all eras and love the way you showcase everything. Much appreciated John

I worked at Kay-Bee toys from 1995-97. I miss that place. Wish I would have snagged up all of the NES games they were selling 3/$10.00 lmao.
Great toy store
The room looks fantastic John! Thanks for sharing the process.
John open up that museum it would be awesome to go there and possibly meet you. You brighten up the world around you with your immense positive energy

Yeah, every gamer is affected by what they grew up with. Game rooms are as diverse as the people playing them.
Awesome video game collection! Great job on organizing your game room. Thanks for the tour!

love the way you have carts in the missing box spots, actually doesnt even look bad to me and is a cool way to see what you still need cib.
I love that you have TI-99 stuff in there. This looks great. You are a true gamer. I couldn't even begin to climb a mountain this tall.
Reminds me of a tiny hole-in-the-wall game store I frequented as a kid called "Game Closet". Good memories!
John, man, it truly makes me happy to see such a kind humble dude reach his goals and wishes! The room looks badass brotha :) enjoy!
Congratulations, it is a great room. Hopefully I’ll have a room to store all my modest collection, but as you say, part of my life. Enjoy!
Amazing and excited for you that it all came together!
Finally. Congrats John and enjoy!

Truly cool. I think the people who collect for specific machines should collaborate on a museum project. Too many collectors dream about a museum and will never see one. We all need to organize and make it a reality.
Really interesting to see the beginnings of what will be a video game museum that I'll probably see in person one day. You are awesome keep it up.
Room looks great. Thanks for sharing.
