- It's that time again! I was looking over my sneaker collection and stumbled across 5 shoes I regret buying... Let me know which sneakers you wish you didn't cop! Our styles and what gets us hyped on sneakers changes over the years and this Top 5 list is an example of it! I've been a sneakerhead for a long time, so there's been plenty of kicks I regret buying, whether they're an impulse buy from the outlet or mall, or something I even paid resell on like a hypebeast lol. Just an honest reflection of sneakers from Adidas, Nike and converse here! Agreed, for me it’s the idea that more creative people and designers are involved with collabs, which makes me “believe” there’s gonna be an emphasis on materials, details and colorway… but not always the case

Agreed, Chuck 70 definitely the best. I have the lows in white. Through some cream strings in them and they popped. Keep up the great content 💪🏾
Really good point about feeling disconnected from Yeezy brand because it feels like Kanye isn't involved with them anymore. I feel the same way

honestly, for me, now that yeezy's are more attainable, I've started adding some to my collection. Got a pair of 380's, super comfortable. Just got a pair of the hyperspace 350's that I'm a bit iffy on and might just drop em and get a colorway I like more.
Great video as always! Would love to see a video on your best sneaker and clothing purchases over the years. I know I have a few items in my closet that I'm excited to pull out years later (everlane jeans, Carhartt WIP jacket, etc). Interested in what you continue to go back to. 👍

A sneaker i regret buying is some Jordan mids in the cinnabar color way,they don’t fit comfortable and they mids so 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I love the yeezy line. It’s just the shoe being different and affordable to me, not different like designer brands those are different but retail too high. Nike Jordan lost me a year or two ago unless it’s OG. I wish I had more space to write also my style has changed and Yeezys fit with my style.

I actually agree 100% about the yeezys. After getting a few 350, 380,500, I'm over it. As much as I love the comfort level of the 380's, I feel like my infatuation with yeezy is over. As you mentioned, I feel as though kanye is done with adidas and is disconnected from his own brand. I'd prefer to buy new balances or dunk SB'S

Totally agree with you on Yeezys. With Kanye wearing boots so much this year there definitely is a disconnect with the sneakers
I never bought a pair of Yeezys to be honest. I plan on maybe buying some 350 v2s in the original color ways someday. I was more of a fan of the older more simplistic designs they had at first like the turtle doves and the breds. Don’t get me wrong I like Yeezys it’s just that the older pairs were some of their best work. I often gravitate towards og sneakers and og color ways. The history of some them is always interesting to look up and learn about to be honest.
My problem with most yeezys is the inconsistencies in the sizing. Had to get rid of my qntms and my 380s and couple other pairs.
I love the QNTMs. Muted colors but unique design and under the hype train.

The Yeezy effect is gone for me personally. I definitely don't intend on rocking the facemask or goofy cartoon boots he's been on. However, even tho he said he didn't approve Yeezy day, adidas did us a service of retroing some of the early pairs and getting that Turtledove really hit for me.
Will he jump ship? Probably if adidas doesn't make nice with him and that's bad on their part because they make mad money from Yeezys. At the same time he is also securing the bag too so idk why he's bothered by that especially after saying Yeezys for everyone originally. He's contracted until 2023 or 26 so it'll be interesting to see what's up

During that Stan smith era I paid around $300 for a “custom” pair from some guy randy the cobbler on instagram, he was poppin on nice kicks and complex etc and he just disappeared out of nowhere. I’ve only worn them once and that my biggest sneaker regret $300 for a Stan smith smh lol
Yeah I regret buying my CDG Converse as well but mine are lows I’ve only worn mine like 3x then they sit in the box for a long time.
I'm definitely the opposite. I definitely feel inspired to still buy Yeezys. I love how he takes risks with his designs and pushes the industry forward

I have Chuck Taylor's CTS leather Hi and I never wear them because they are super comfortable but it takes 2-3 mins to put the shoes on.
You damn right about the CBs. I sent mine back to Nike. Get this. I've wanted that sneaker since I was a kid! Imagine getting a grail and then realizing it's not for you lol.
I have the QNTM barium (which I hardly wear) but I rock the Onyx color way often!! Especially when Donda first dropped! 🌚

I remember those rafs from one of the look books a couple years back, ended up getting hyped and buying a maroon pair…and I’ve barely worn them outside of weddings…
After watching this, now I want a pair of Nike CB94 sneakers. That white and black with a hint of purple looked good. They also have a cool grey colorway you should check out too if you ever buy them again.
If you’re from cold weather like Boston that CB94 is perfect to maneuver through tough weather. Too bad I’m from Cali so I never get to do that lol I remember I tried them on at Foot Locked and was sweating to put em on. Some little kid was wearing em and started laughing at me cus I couldn’t put em on 😂😂😂

I feel you with feeling disconnected with Yeezy and Kanye jumping ships. Idk I still find them cool though. And they’re becoming flooded which I find cool too. Just haven’t really been too gravitated to them, feel like there’s more simple, nicer shoes for less if we’re being honest
I actually enjoy my cgs, look good with a lot of things and I’ve actually worn em for leg days at the gym and to a festival I love wearing em

Air max 2 CB are 🔥 🔥 ....I didn't expect that one
The sneaker I regret buying are the Air Max 95 “Have a Nike day.” I love the color way and the shoe, BUT damn do they destroy my Achilles. A simple solution can be is wearing long socks, but I don’t like long socks lol. I don’t want a tan line. Really like the shoe tho:/.

I always tell myself that I'm a vans and nike person bcs I like how they mostly look. But ended up buying chuck 70s way more than I should, and only have 2 pair of nikes, and no vans at all

The regular Chuck70s are the gold standard imo. And in leather... Sheesh!
I love the QNTMS, but like the CBS for you, they are extremely difficult to get on, and they are narrow as fuck on the toe (from the top, not the sides). But its a great sneaker and the tooling is very comfortable.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head about the adidas yeezy line. I can’t get behind like 95% of the colorways they have released for all of their models. And oddly enough, if I don’t see kanye himself talk about them positively or even wear them, then what’s the point? It’s cool that they’re available but adidas is funneling them out like they did with NMDs and Ultraboosts.
Thought I was the only one that had a problem putting on my Air Max CB 4. I love my blue and red pair but they are a pain to get on. I thought maybe going a half size up would solve the problem but they are already a big chunky shoe and they fit comfortably when I finally do get them on .
Nike Blazer high and hate to say it but maybe the Jordan 5 Toro’s I just never wear them. I’d keep the Toro’s over Blazers, obviously..
Adidas seems to be able to tell a story with their originals and other models. The Oznova, Forums, Spezials, NMD S1, ZXs have been amazing

The Barkley’s I wish I had but I agree about a shoe being hard to put on and not wearing it like the lebron soldier with all those straps I almost break my ankle put them on actually my pair just sits there staring at me in my coat closet by the front door

Edit: I’m totally with you on the Quantum’s, I won a pair on Confirmed and had to return them based upon not only the price tag but how clunky they were.

I totally agree with on the case that Ye will jump the ship from adidas. I also am very disconnected and disappointed in what adidas has been doing with Yezzy. If I’m not mistake we can all agree that we’re tried of the 350s at this point. They’re sizing is truly all the way messed up, retail for some of their shoes is outrageous, and they only drop color ways to like three or four different models.
I agree, Adidas has a history of not doing their collabs justice.
I love the yeezy line, foam runners, 700s and slides are amazing shoes but I definitely feel you with the disconnect between ye and adidas now. The qtn yzy looks cool to me but wasn’t marketed very well I think.
The Quantum's are my favorite Yeezy. I have wide feet & the comfort is great. It's a shoe that definitely looks better on foot though
That Yeezy box made me so stressed. Why would you punish your customers with a box like that after they spent so much money?
Most recently I regret the AF1 Mid Flax because I wanted the low but was impatient and got the mid. As well as the infrared 4 (bad quality) which I was able to return.
I always keep 1 pair of 350s just to have a well rounded rotation. Have the statics.
Didn’t like the mids? I have that pair and love them! One of the few mids I get down with. Good to know about the infrared I’ll avoid those!
I agree with the CB. I just recently bought the CB 94 sun's like 2 months ago and I regret buying them. The varsity purple is a better looking shoe which I wear often but they are hard to put on.

The Yeezy Quantums and Raf Simons are ugly as hell. My worst purchase was the Adidas Tubular Dooms with the thick sock attached to the top. They look awful and I have never worn them outside of the house.
I don't have a lot. But I'll say the main one is between the Jordan 13 altitudes. Love the Jordan 13. But those are not high on my 13 list. Or the Jordan 4 university blues. Nice shoe. But don't like em as much as I thought
Yeezy had y'all shook with those Powerphases. There are so many similar sneakers to that silhouette that it was just a no go for me.
As far as the Quantums go the only pair actually worth buying is the OG. They did so many slight reworks on that shoe that it has like 4 or 5 different versions lol

for me its the 350 v2s... ive sold all my pairs minus the OG belugas... and even those i might sell. they're just not it anymore, idk how we ever allowed them to be at the forefront of fashion but i guess everything has its time and place

I paid resell for the UNLV dunks and regretted it. The colorway was nice, but the dunk creased after one wear. I also took them to a concert and the whole experience was uncomfortable for me.
I like a lot of the dunk colorways, but the resell isn’t worth it for me.
I love my cdg converse, girls always asking about them.

Yeezys are still selling like hot cakes though till this day, but I agree. The Yeezys are not classics at all and never will be, just hyped trash if we are being honest here. His best creations were with Louie Vitton in the mid 2000s, Bape, and Nike.
