We get it, some of you take the world too seriously. But some people don't know everything. In fact, over a million people watched our Galaxy S7 SIM card video. Lots of people aren't techie and need help. This is a beginners' guide type of video. Just ignore it if you already know this stuff. Thanks.
People getting upset because they know how this works. Well, there are others out there who don't and may find simple (to enthusiasts) videos like this helpful.
I am seriously not an idiot but I found this very useful. This is the first phone I had where I could not open the back and this got me started quickly. Thank you !!!
I bought a new S8 and I was afraid to push the ejection pin really hard, so I came here. I'm sure there are alot of ppl like me. After this video I got the confidence to push the pin down really hard and it popped open lol
Note that there is an "Eject Pin" included with the phone and attached to the outer cover of a small box that contains a Samsung Terms & Conditions booklet. I found it AFTER using a toothpick to accomplish opening the Sim/Memory tray!
EASY to follow instructions and THANK YOU for holding phone and tray in same position as we see. Made the SIM card exchange super simple and I had 100% confidence I was doing it correctly!!!!!!
Hey Tim, just want to say thank you! I know the Sim card question is rather basic,But it was nice to make sure that I was doing it properly while watching your video. Love this page is awesome! Great tips
I find this video helpful as I'm in the market to buy a new phone and I'll need to remove the sim card regularly. I wanted to make sure it wasn't stupidly difficult on the s8 and this video showed me everything I need to know!
Hey Thanks! This video helped a lot. I was trying to pry open the back panel to get it in for several minutes. I had no idea I needed an ejector pin for this. I appreciate the help
A couple of months ago, I decided to take the road to a more techno world... I decided to stop using my "music book"... it was becoming big and heavy to carry...! I bought a Samsung Tab and the guy at store told me about using a micro SD card...! He showed me where I could put the device...! And now, I'm glad that I will be able to put one in the S8 of my wife so she could transfer pictures and other things on the card and give her ore free space...! I learned, with your video, where it will go...! Easy for some people but... let's think about oldies people like me... we need help and I thank you for the time you put on this video.
I was too lazy to go through the manual so I searched up my questions, including where the SIM card slot is :) People, if you think you know all, at least don't shit on others who are helping Samsung users to get used to their phones
Thank you so much!!! Just installed my TMobile sim card into my phone. Had NO clue on how to do this. Was going to take it to the phone store. Your video saved me a trip.
THANK YOU!!!! I'm not a techie and little things like this frustrate the hell out of me as I know they do for pretty much everyone I know. Vids like this are a lifesaver!
Thank you man from Portland! I know this probably seems like a very duh action to most people, but I'm no techie and I'd rather be sure of where exactly to put it in, than to try myself and not be sure. Hope my comment makes sense, and thanks once again!!
Y'all are the real mvp, almost broke my phone I half trying to figure this out, till the last brain cell I have left on my brain told me to go to RUclips.... lol 😄😄😄
@@Sam-mx2pi I've literally used a paper clip for this 7 plus times over the last two weeks because I was out of the country and had to switch back sim cards and am now adding memory card.
Thanks for the video. My last galaxy was the 2 back when the sd card went in the back behind the battery. Just got the s8+ yesterday and was going crazy trying to doing where it goes. When I get home I gotta find my sd card
Can you give any advice for how to switch SIM cards to a new carrier's SIM w/out losing data? Any help will be appreciated. I still have and am using my 8+ that I bought in 2017. Thank you. And I'm glad, along with 2.4 million others that you made this video!
I was afraid to do this only because I didn't want to break the tray and I didn't want to lose my sim card!!! But I did it without messing up! Thank god!!!
I didn't have this ejector pin but using a small pin needle that came in a mini driver set from a dollar store worked. I would be very gentle and careful not to damage the part.
Stick with SanDisk extreme pro A2 Class 10, Samsung is still trying to catch up... I just brought a 256gb extreme pro for my S8, cost me an arm and a leg but hey, I wont be complaining about space and speed for a long while...

Couldn't find a Simcard inside my new Galaxy S8+ I got a month ago! Now, if I should buy one, which brand do you recommend? or it doesn't matter! thnx
People will complain about anything. Either way, thanks for the video. It really helped.
As a non-techie, I really appreciate it.

i've never inserted an sd card in to a phone. this video probably prevented me from mis-aligning the card and shoving the tray in too hard.
Instructions unclear. Penis stuck in card slot.
I know I needed it😏🙋♀️
Im gonna be honest, i was stumped when i couldnt figure out how to remove the back and the battery like you sued to have to do
I didn't. So thank you very much!!

I think because of the water resistance seals, it requires more force than older phones. Just a guess.
I only got the confidence to push hard enough after reading your comment!yay!
Yep
Same with my s9+, I was so anxious bc it "didn't work properly" Haha turns out I had to press harder.
Thank you😂😊
Joshua Ferreira literally me rn
Let's be honest somebody is gunna buy this phone and not understand where the SD card goes so this video will help them greatly
I left on S5, so yeah, I had no experience with a tray. Problem: T mobile sent the wrong size card and I didn't know any better.

Ha! Thanks! I definitely would have thrown that away. I just used a tiny screw driver head.
Jim Ford Darn T-mobile tech kept my eject pin 😕
Jim Ford mine won't open with s toothpick
THANK YOU!!!! I was literally swearing at the box asking it all sorts of questions there was no way it could answer even if it could speak! Lifesaver.

@@nickyt4391 because I'm looking at random s8 videos and for some reason i thought this wouldn't be as stupid as the title implies

"You'll need a tool like this." It's called a paper clip.
Wow, thanks. I might give that a try
nope. too big of a diameter.

Oml thank you so much this actually helped me it poped out and I have a then q so I was terrified

I forgot exactly how to do it, turns out I was trying to get the wrong tray out and I wasnt using enough pressure. Thankfully this video saved me lol
Thanks because I had no idea. Didnt think i would run out of space. I was like oh thats what the little metal tool is for! Glad I kept it lol
Thank you so much for doing this video! Even though I have an s8+, my tech knowledge is pretty poor. Looking forward to watching more of your vids!

Thanks for posting these instructs

Helpful video, but holy god those hand movements in the first minute on the left were distracting.
Thanks for the tutorial Bruv. I'm going to insert my 256gb sd card into my Samsung Galaxy S8 probably tomorrow. I hope I dont break it.
Thank you! :) you did great!
Thanks for the video couldn't for the life of me figure out where my tray was
Well, I didn't get an ejector pin so it looks like the stretched out paperclip is my go-to tool!
DID IT WORK BC I DON'T HAVE ONE TOO lmao 😂 and i'm scared i'll mess it up
Paper clip may be too big but an earring or a blunt pin (like you put on a backpack, etc) may work better
i just used a needle threader
Oww! I didn't know that. Where did you find it?
Just what I needed to know. Thanks
Great guide video, thank you very much very helpful
Your video was very helpful thank you
Does it come with an sd card already included?
Had phone for 2 years,, had no idea where the hell the simcard was. cheers
IM really glad that they made back SD Card slots!! That non SD Card slot was bullshit af...
Thanks! Super easy. Don't even need to turn off the phone 😁
Man what a time to be alive such good phone I have the Note 20 honestly wouldn't to the S8 or Note 9
Btw guys earring backs work to open sim trays if you don't have the SIM card tool!
i have a question for you man, do you know if it could be possible to put another sim card in the sd lot, like a dual sim card like the s7???
Does it have to use two sim cards to work?
sir is the sim slot is metallic or plastic like s7 ?
I didn't have this ejector pin but using a small pin needle that came in a mini driver set from a dollar store worked. I would be very gentle and careful not to damage the part.
Can you do this while the phone is off? Thanks 🙏
What do you do if sim card is too big for the tray? Is there a different way to put it in?
Thanks for the helpful video.
Can I use the SD card slot for another SIM card? And if yes, how do I select which SIM card to use on the phone?
I used my sisters earrings to pop it out
Thank you for the idea 😂😂
Great tip, that worked, thank you so much!
Thanks. Helpful Video. 👍
Now I'm going to put an SD card myself.
I didn't know how to do this neither did 100s of thousands of others lol so it's not a pointless video. If you knew, good for you
how to safely unmount sd card on s8? i cannot find an option to do so
Turn off phone then do this
When you order the phone does it come with one of those keys to open the tray or will you need to buy it to open it to add an ad card?
Coral Couch it comes in the box
Eric White thanks lol. I actually bought mine a bit ago and realized it did. 😅 don't know why I thought it might be separate
- most helpful - cheers!
do you need to have both the SIM and SD card ?
Do you recommend using Samsung sd card or any?. I like to use Sandisk, do you think it will still work and not damage my phone?
Stick with SanDisk extreme pro A2 Class 10, Samsung is still trying to catch up... I just brought a 256gb extreme pro for my S8, cost me an arm and a leg but hey, I wont be complaining about space and speed for a long while...
thanks. I didnt have a pen to pop out the sim card and sd reader but a woman used her ear ring and it worked!
