One of the best parts of using a Samsung phone over the years has been using a Micro SD Card to store extra files. Today I show you how you can move everything over to the SD Card including your photos, videos & apps!
Tech With Brett I choose to move my apps to SD card, i saw the loading process but why my apps still takes up internal storage? The free space in both internal and SD card didnt change a bit.
Thanks for this video I’ve been a long time iPhone user and I’m tired and bored of it now and I am definitely switching to galaxy S10+ this week one of the main things is the ability to save my media to and external storage space not a cloud or anything like that, I’ve lost some files or media using iCloud and it sucks having to go find it online and download it again. So thanks again.

They are probably elitist that think they can do it a better way. that or too impatient and wanted the answer in the first 10 secs of the video, then clicked off. Also, they are apple users and are just jealous cause this is easy. lol
Thanks Brett. You saved me a ton of frustration. Samsung and Google-Android owe you a nice royalty check for taking the pain out of their user-hostile half-baked system.
You are literally the best, the only person I know on RUclips that offers a full walkthrough on how to use Samsung's great features without calling it a gimmick. I see a lot of apple walkthroughs but not really on Samsung . I have been able to transition from iPhone to samsung almost seamlessly and I'm using the phone to it's full capability. I have a Samsung galaxy J7 2018 phone, and this video is super helpful on my model of Samsung phone of how to manage data to my micro SD card in my phone.
I'm a dinosaur, I keep getting message that phone is out of storage. I was told I could never use up all 128 GB of storage. Some how I managed to accomplish this impossible feat unknowingly 😲 🤷♀️. I YT'd my query & a host of options popped up & I chose you, I'm so glad I did! Now the question I have is this: If I've used up all my 128 GB storage, will I have to purchase a larger GB storage thumbdrive? Man I wish I had you here to guide me through all these steps. You have a wealth of awesome knowledge about smartphones! Will I loose anything for not emptying my phone's internal storage space? I've been getting this message from Google for a while but didn't know what to do. I have no one to help me, my hubby doesn't have or want a smartphone, (he has a flip phone) I finally taught him to answer it, against his will 🤭! Thanks for this! ❤ I am an aspiring vlogger and I just wanted to know how to transfer apps from my S9 internal memory to the Memory Card. Thanks again! 😊
Thank you for the video, very instructive! I have an issue thought; when I move apps on the SD card to free space on the internal memory, it automatically transfer it back from the SD to the phone after some time, thus making my phone run out of space again and runnning very slowly; is there a way to avoid that? Locking the app on the SD so it doesn't transfer back?
Just a tip, if you change your storage to external in the camera app, you can then take a picture and your DCIM\Camera folder will be created automatically. You can then just move your albums into that Camera folder. No need for the My Files app. Helpful video though. Thanks
HI. Even though I can see the SD card under "My Files" when I go to move or copy photos to it it only brings up "Copy Here" option and it's same internal storage i am transferring from. I have formatted card. I am able to store new pictures onto the card. But it's not letting me move/copy pre-existing files to it. Could use your help please.
It's my first time to use an SD card. Do I take it out of the phone when transfer is done? How do I see those photos again? Instruction was great. Thank you.

My sd card already has some new video stored on it so I assume it's properly installed and everything. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks.
Thank you! I am still having trouble though, it says my phone is too full to transfer anything and when I go to album I don't have any option to move to sd card. I keep deleting photos and documents but I'm still out of internal storage. The updates the phone does on the operating system is what is eating up my storage. My photos are in the cloud. If you go into developer options there is one option that will force most of your apps to store their data on the SD card. It is called Force allow apps on external.
