[Police Station Vault Chase Scene - Robbery - Rio Heist]
Brian and Dom steal Hernan Reyes' vault from the police station and high speed pursuit through city streets starts. Han and Roman are helping them with undercover cop cars.
🚓 Dodge Charger SRT8, 2011 (Police Car) - Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) / Han Seoul-Oh (Sung Kang)
Dodge gave the production team some pre-production 2011 SRT8s to use, and they also modified some 2010s to make them look like the 2011s. Two of these are specially prepared into vault heist cars, finished in matte black paint.
🚓 Dodge Charger SRT8, 2011 (Vault Heist Car) - Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) / Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel)
Internal roll cage, Chassis reinforcement, Exterior rear-section cage, Heavy-duty winch (rear mounted), Flat Matte black paint job, Nitrous Oxide system (Dominic's car), XD Rockstar Wheels in flat black
🚙 Conquest Knight XV - Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson)
Powered by a Ford 6.8L V10, the Knight XV is built as an armored vehicle from the ground-up, not armored after. MSRP is $485,000. There's a less expensive civilian version available, as well, called the Armet Gurkha F5, which was marketed on the tails of the release of Fast Five because it looks very similar to its Knight XV big brother. For a cool $150,000, that one can be yours.
🚘 VolksWagen Touareg, 2004 - Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida)
Dennis McCarthy originally intended for them to drive 1968 International Harvester Scout's but unfortunately the film's production designer disagreed, so instead, they drove these Touaregs.
🚔 Ford Explorer, 1995
This is what Brazilian police roll in. It wouldn't seem like anything special to a U.S. audience, but this is something of an import luxury vehicle in Brazil, so it would likely not be used by actual Brazilian police.
🚗 Mazda 626, 2000
Brazilian police can't roll around in SUVs all the time. That's where these 626s come in handy.

Jason Momoa's character actually did appear in this movie. He mastered the ability of standing completely still to make himself invisible
he learn it from draxx haha
you could also see Dom's brother with him in this scene
@@azultarmizi you can never see John Cena. Especially if he’s waving his hand in front of his face.
At 1:48 Jason Momoa character comes out.
@@pab1381 hahaha i just realised what u said
My favourite part from this whole chase is when Brian is driving backwards and when they get to a straight just spins it around like he does it everyday

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Few things more satisfying to watch than a well executed J turn
The Brian O’Conner Special Tactic
@@whoasked8771 actually invented or widely used first by moonshiners back During prohibition. Pretty much any car can do a j turn
He does...that's how he pulls out of his driveway

nice to see that even in racing movies the trees are indestructible, props to the directors
They made by nokia
This was actually a really well executed action scene. Lot of real cars got smashed up here, great practical effects
And lots of clear roads…
but no brazile
at least not a tank
Filmed between Brazil and Puerto Rico.
At least Dom wasn’t flipping cars with his bare hands
5:06 that J turn will always be my favorite part. So clean.
and that engine sound before that too
Same bro. Love it
You mean when he shifts into his second reverse gear?😂
I don't know how I missed Jason Mamoa standing right there, fucking hell
He was invisible the whole time 🤣🤣
The power of retcon.
@@hungtheheroluu That's the magic of that plot concept: making you rewatch something but with a new point of view.
Ha no clear shot though, cause watching fast x i was like wait he was not in fast five even if it was for a few seconds how did they add the pieces to fill in the small gaps?

@@Will.Flavell He is, Dante Reyes. He wishes to get back at Dom for stripping him of his family, as the trailers and marketing indicate.
Dante & Aimes were standing right there

Standing completely still you can’t even see them
fast five is literally the perfect ending for this series
agree
Isn't the seventh one regarded as the best ending for the series?
Yea but fast 8 to me was a good ending to the series
fast 7 in my opinion was the cut off but paul said he wanted to be in at least 10 movies
@@onlythemarkk They are honoring Paul's wishes.
Major props to The stunt driver driving the vault that is just amazing
Boa Motorista Paul E Vin diesel✌️💪💪💪
Meanwhile Jason Momoa's blood be boiling during all this shit
Jason Mamoa I can see you now
This scene had a lot of powerscaling to it lowkey. They had the 2 best all round drivers haul the safe. And the next 2 best drivers support them in police cars, han and roman.
Also when they were seeing which cars could fit that small window in the police station, han's attempt was much closer to the pillars and was done a lot cleaner. He was also the last to attempt and was the deciding factor because he's the best drifter there. Lots of details they add to show the hierarchy.
Chargers were beautiful in these scenes sheesh. Also props to the stunt drivers, amazing stunts they pulled off
Ik right
I love chargers
3:39 I just love the sense of disbelief in Mia's voice when she heard about the bank destruction.
Sounded like she was about to break out in laughter😂
Jesus how many freaking people were crushed to death by a safe in this scene?
As a child, when I watched this, this part was my favorite in the entire film!
1:26 my favorite sound from a dodge charger
Didn’t see Jason Momoa
He was thrown into the water and that’s how he became Aquaman

Honestly, even as a fan of the series, I wouldn't mind if they ended it here. Out of all the movies, this one really has a grand finale feel to it. But I get it, there still would've been the loose thread of Giselle not being in Tokyo Drift.
Giselle is no excuse for 6, 7, 8 and 9. They could have easily made a Han and Giselle spinoff that is far better than those 4 movies combined.
@@cameronburke8002 exactly they're all shit, this here is the ending

The single most outrageous action sequence I've ever seen. I love this movie.
those were the golden days of fast and furious franchise
Imagine going to a bank but you get killed by a vault, not a robber. 😅
"You've got every corrupt cop in the city on your tail" she says as they casually kill 20 civilians with a 50 ton safe going at mach 2 there's definitely some good cops that don't want more people to die from this insane heist
That what I was thinking and also I don’t think every single cop is bad some of them just might be doing thare job
That's probably why the line exists. Make it seem a little bit more moral. Does it make sense? No.
@@lightningpenguin8937 They went nuts in FF 10 to the point even I'm weirded out, even the children now laugh at mercs dying horrible deaths. Like wtf did they even do to deserve getting burn to death in dozens by the good guys? For accepting a contract?
That's called collateral damage.
I wonder what today’s Dodge Charger hellcat would’ve did.
Nothing other than burn the rubber bend the wheels or brake the metal cable :)

I love this scene: the realistic action, the acting, the soundtrack, the pacing its all perfect.
Man said realistic with a straight face
@@jamieb220this stunt was actually done for real this is practical effects. They destroyed cars and building. That's real vault. The stunt driver have really small margin of error for each scene because of it failed some building have to be rebuild to get a re shot. Some of this scene is actually in one take. Because either the stunt driver injured and can't continue or the building and car they smashed is done
@@rockzs74r yeah I actually learnt this recently, although the safe was under half the weight it would’ve been, and they used a type of low friction plastic underneath. Would never have been able to mobe a safe that size in real life. It’s quality that they actually did it practically though without effects

@@jamieb220 Well, when you look at it through the perspective of next couple of movies this was extremely realistic.
at 1:37 you can see Jason Momoa.
Here from Fast X
This scene was the EXACT moment when the Fast and Furious franchise abandoned reality.
This scene was practical though?
No, that was the opening scene in Fast 4.
Dom: "...we need two precision drivers."
Brian: "You know we got that."

The sense of disbelief in her voice.
who’s here after the fast x reveal
The beginning of a great decent of a legendary movie series
Until Hobbs & Shaw, you’re wrong, 7 was crazy I’ll admit but 8 was still solid
The franchise ended at fast five TBH. everything now is about high tech stuff

This was the last memorable one for me they got too crazy after this
I’m just here to see if aquaman was actually behind that damn vault …. 😑

Fun fact: this whole scene was recorded in Puerto Rico and the part that dom was driving the charger was on the famous bridge of Puerto Rico
So... let me get this straight:
Reyes the drug lord is so influential that he can make the entire Brazilian PD's HQ into his personal vault storage, but he can't use the same influence to launder his dirty cash and turn it all digital?
Or even better - pack up all the cash, put it into ten different private choppers, fly them out into secret offshore deposits in different goddamn continents.
But nooo - he takes all the cash and puts it into one big vault. Seriously, how did this guy make this much dough without the basic understanding of how currency works?
