A couple months ago I decided to go back and replay Unity, and it’s definitely underrated, it’s one of the last games in the series where you truly feel like an Assassin. The combat mechanics are great, the parkour is so fluid it holds insanely good to this day, the story’s pretty good and Arno is a great character, one of my favourite Assassins. I love his final speech, it’s my second favourite of the series after Ezio’s explanation of the Assassin’s code.
@@elpeluca7780 so does combat in every ac game, look at martial art specialists react to the combat in ac games we don’t mind them being a little unrealistic it’s all about having fun
The first 4 AC games will always hold a special place in my heart, even to this day they're so fun to play and experience. They also got me interested in history, especially the Middle Ages However Syndicate is an extremely underrated game that's just super fun to play around with, shame that the modern games feel like another series and not Assassin's Creed
Agreed, they may as well just put the new games into a different story or call them something like “assassin’s creed: the elder ones”. At least make the milking of the name a little more honourable
Both odyssey and Valhalla aren’t bad tho . Odyssey’s ending leads to countless possibilities with kassandra basically being immortal which is why we see her in Valhalla . Do both games go in depth about the assassins as a organization? No odyssey actually goes in depth with the templars more considering they threw you out a cliff lol Im halfway threw valhalla and I’m enjoying it it’s not as bad as people made it seem
AC Brotherhood was the one to get me into the franchise. I had AC 1 but I was 10 years old, so I had no idea what I was doing on it, I’d just run around killing guards. But when a friend gave me brotherhood I loved it! Played every one since.

It's funny how the people who are hating on the new "RPG" AC games haven't even played it, and are just jumping on the bandwagon of hate, they are actually incredible games, and imo better than the originals. Just atleast finish the game before announcing you hate them.
@@JoelPlay Ok sure, I'll go say goodbye to my 60 hours spent playing Origins, those never happened apparently. Also I literally called the new games "Good RPG's" and I made the point that people don't like them because Ubisoft removed all the assassin stuff, not because they're bad games.
Loved the AC games for their recreation of historical locations. We've drifted so far from historical fiction and into fantasy that I've lost a taste for it. In terms of open world fantasy there are just too many better options to devote my time to. I liked Origins, skipped Odyssey and tried but just couldn't get into Valhalla. Unity (once fixed) was one of the best and most underrated for sure.
Unity was good but wasn't near the best I'm sorry. It's just the cool thing now to say Unity is a hidden gem, like they've experienced a secret no one else have tasted
I agree. The shift from science-fiction to all-out mythological fantasy is really disappointing to see. Assassin’s Creed was known for being unique, now it just tries to copy Witcher 3 (and they fail miserably at it too). AC has sold its soul to the devil and is nothing more than a Ubisoft brand name to make a quick buck. AC should remain an open-world action adventure game, like Ghost of Tsushima. It has no place being in the RPG genre. Yes RPG makes it to where the worlds are bigger and feel more epic but at what cost? They removed the flashy parkour from Unity, they have retconned canon that was established in previous games, they abandoned all originality and uniqueness that made the older games masterpieces. and I hate having to choose to play as a male/female version of a person because It makes it so much harder for the actor to distinguish their character by using their voice when the dialogue has already been written for both male and female counterparts. Because of this I found it nearly impossible to relate to Kassandra and Eivor. Bayek’s voice actor didn’t have this issue because he doesn’t have to account for BLAND ASS DIALOGUE for a female Bayek. I felt EVERY emotion in every word that Bayek spoke, just like Ezio. What’s the point in having to choose between male/female, when Ubisoft is only going to make one of them the actual canon anyway? What’s the point of playing as Alexios or male Eivor when they are not a part of the official canon? Furthermore, how does that even begin to make sense in the Animus? So are we now exploring alternate timelines or… idk man, again just feels like they’re breaking lore that was established all the way from AC1.
Fun Fact: ezio was a guest character in soul calibur 5 because according to the producer hisaharu tago chosen him to be in the game due to the star wars characters in soul calibur 4 were not well received. Players complained they didn't fit well in the series. Ezio even shared the same voice actor with seigfried. Players say ezio fit much better.

You just made this up? There's been a guest character in every Soul Calibur game. It has to do with licensing. Link was in it, Kratos was in it. And there were Vader and Yoda. Players never complained about the star wars characters?
I ve played all ac games, most of them on PS3, from Unity to Valhalla to PS4. The last 3 AC games made me buy back Ezio trilogy and Black Flag and I am so glad to play again a true AC game.
@@LeCedric i ve played valhalla too but i got dissapointed. It seems they stray more from the assassins . Thr last 2 games Odyssey and Valhalla has nothing to do with assassins. I ve bought Gold Edition Valhalla so I ve played Siege of Paris and Wrath of Druids too. But I WILL NOT BUY THE NEW DLC BECAUSE IS A PIECE OF SHIT
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is easily my favourite, like, it's not even close. I have a holy trinity of the best open-world RPGs ever made and they are, in chronological order, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. They are the greatest open-world RPG masterpieces ever made IMO and I've been playing video games since the Atari 2600 was en vogue. The game map of AC: Odyssey truly fit the Odyssey name because it is the largest game map that I've ever seen by a landslide that wasn't set in space. With the exception of Rhodes, the map was ALL of Ancient Greece, both mainland and islands. Visually, it is just breathtaking with Elysium being even more beautiful than the Duchy of Toussaint in Witcher III. That's really saying something because before AC:Odyssey, The Duchy of Toussaint was far and away the most beautiful setting for a video game that I had ever seen and it wasn't even close. Somehow, Elysium managed to just edge it out.
No not really rouge was made for the 360 and unity was made for xbox one and rouge was used in on the black flag engine with unity being completely on a different engine
My favourite of the series is ezio trilogy. It was peak assassin's creed imo with great story, incredible characters, dialogues and the Italian Renaissance was a perfect setting for the game. Ill never forget the start of Ac2 where ezios brother says the line "its a good life brother, may it never change and may it never change us" as the intro song played and the Ac logo showed and from there to see ezios journey and character growth in the 3 games is one of the best gaming experiences, ill ever have. My next favourite is Ac4 which hugely upgraded the graphics, gave a huge vibrant world with tons of freedom and side quests that has one of the best wholesome ending. Thinking back to those games really makes me sad because there's something about the newer titles which just feels wrong (the story's never engaging enough and the characters I can't take seriously) and feels like its not assassin's creed anymore. To me syndicate was the last assassin's creed game ubisoft made
God, the Ezio Trilogy. Now THAT brings back so many memories. "I heard your name once before, Desmond, a long time ago. And now it lingers in my mind like an image from an old dream. I do not know where you are, or by what means you can hear me. But I know you are listening. I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon. And here, at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit for a message that eludes my understanding. Who are we, who have been so blessed to share our stories like this? To speak across centuries? Maybe you will answer all the questions I have asked. Maybe you will be the one to make all this suffering worth something in the end." The writing was so good. WTF happened?
The new games honestly aren't bad, but anyone who played Assassin's Creeds 1-4 (plus Rogue) won't like them because they feel like a totally different series. Valhalla reminded me more of the Witcher than Assassin's Creed lol
I received back then for Xmas a ps3 and a friend gave me AC 1 over the holidays ...i fell in love it was awesome,is awesome, beside the Storyline of Ezio, my no.1 Game is AC Odyssey i love the Theme of Greece. cant wait for Mirage to get my hands on Thx for the Video
Seeing this video makes me realise why there was an assassin creed fatigue around the time of Unity. I guess, the series had to evolve to RPG elements. Personally, loved the previous games, and loving Valhalla too.
Out of all the Assassin's Creed games, the only one I finished was Black Flag. The immersive experience and vast open world under the theme of being a freaking pirate was really satisfying my Monkey Island itch. I loved all the older ones, but Black Flag really made me want to be a completionist with it. I just got the complete edition of Valhalla and so far, I am really enjoying it.
yea, i can have fun trying to get 100 percent synchronization more than once, even though many of the others were great as well, they get really repetitive after a while.
Valhalla is so good, I personally like how long it is because whether you just like fighting or looting or doing puzzles there is hours of content for anything you want to do
@@lorschat496 Me too, though properly. But I have to admit that I would love a combination between Old AC and PoP. Say with Prince Dastan being a historical person, free roaming around a historical 9th century Saffarid Dynasty Persia, discoverding and refounding the Persian Assassins. The old games in this context could simply be that they were mythological stories created out of the deeds of the legendary historical person. It could even be explained that the Persian Assassins had been decimated in the 7th century by the fall of the Sassanian Empire, and now they needed to be restored for the sake of Persia!!!
@@JohnWick-oj6bw Τhe games are set in a mythicized version of the Saffarid Dynasty Period. The movie is set in the Achaemenid Persian Empire, which if you ask me seems a far better choise for a POP setting. Though the imagery and clothes of the characters in the movie resemble more the Sassanid Persian Empire. It is indeed confusing!
I’m very happy some of these games got ported to the Nintendo Switch. It’s the first time I actually played AC. I truly loved the ones I was able to play. Waiting for AC The Ezio Collection on the Switch.❤️
Even before watching the video I can tell it will be a nice one :) Edit: Loved seeing those games.even though I am not into games.I really love this one with all the picture and 12 version of games
truly , the introduction of exploring vertical and EVERYTHING climbable was incredible at that time. Parkour actually required thought back then though.
The last assassins creed I enjoyed was origins. I sort of liked the new combat but preferred the other, and don’t get me started on the hidden blades not one shot killing anymore. But I thought the game was quite good and beautiful. Just the biggest flaw is the combat. Miss the older assassins creed style though.
I heard something about the new AC being called AC Rift and it’s supposed to go back to the roots of AC. Then again, they said that about Valhalla and yeah.. I just want an AC game similar to the style of Unity but obviously more polished with a more interesting story. Unity still looks great to this day and if they could improve on the overall concept of it we could have the best AC game made to date.
@@abrupt512 yeah I agree. I want the parkour from unity and probably the combat mixed from syndicate and origins cause I think that’s where it shines the most for the changes of it.
@@noot_noot__ I wasn’t a fan of syndicates combat myself but if it’s sort of a mix with origins combat it could be cool. I liked AC3 and black flags combat but I’m not sure if a lot of people would want to go back to that combat style. If they do go back to the roots to see how people react, I really want people to like the game so we can have more of the old AC style. I’m just not sure how new fans who started out on the RPG games would react.
Black flag was soo freaking good. I didn't buy it initially cause 3 was a letdown, but when I finally got it, I probably dumped more time into that game than any other.
great content !! thank you for putting it together . i was a big assassin creed fan but the last two installments didnt cut it for me, i hope the new one infinity will bring back how good this franchise has been over the past. i would really love to jump back in to one of my favorite open world game
man I remember back then when I thought game visuals could never surpass AC 1 and the Ezio trilogy. like back then, those graphics were revolutionary to me
What about an Assassin's Creed game where it takes place in mesoamerica, exploring the ancient Aztec and Mayan civilizations and finishing off with the Spanish conquest of Tenochtitlan. There is a ton of history to be told there.
Yea i been saying and im surprised they havent yet .it might be because they think those settings in america probably played out but i think if they put it there they would break a record with people wanting to go back to the old games
Damn Nothin beats the old ones… Man number 1 and 2 are such nostalgic. Definitely beats the current ones…. Honestly the last good one was Unity I don’t care how much hate it got like honestly I think it has one of the best parkour in all the games.
You’re just another nostalgia merchant. In what world is odyssey not better than most of the older ac games? Way better graphics , better and more realistic movements in combat , much larger world to explore, freedom to basically climb and explore everything in the world. Amazing DLC’s , Greek mythology. You’re delusional
@That clone trooper in the back on the high ground yes odyssey has better combat than that easy ass cake walk that is black flag. I’ve played both , infact I’m playing black flag RIGHT NOW and in no way is the combat better. It’s so fucking easy to beat enemies in black flag I can literally sit there and spam one button , also the killing and weapons feel sooo much better in odyssey , and graphics do matter , the better a game looks the more immersive it feels , odyssey has so many different weapons to chose from , each with different play styles and skills. I can be a GOD and be overpowered , or I can dial it back and fight with less powerful abilities. Even the exploration is better in odyssey you can climb anything and go almost anywhere on the map compared to black flag where you can only really climb certain things that are deemed claimable. You nostalgia merchants are so annoying hating on odyssey simply because Ubisoft used the ac name to generate more sales.
@@ace514ify remake every title it would becomes more realistic more better graphics and more better combat then ac origin, Odyssey and Valhalla. Reason they are old
My first game is/was AC Rogue. I had never really played AC, but I had seen a my friend play once and instantly got hooked. I watched videos bought books, you name it. Then I got my Xbox and bought Rogue. Wow this game has really surprised me a lot and I love it!
Assassins Creed Origins The Setting of Ptolemaic Egypt is superb, the entire region is filled with immense beauty, the setting pulls you in and saturates your brain in another time,in another world. The setting is so beautiful that you wish not to ride atop your cherished camel ,instead you constantly want to walk the sand covered streets, the agricultural fields of the Bread Basket,in the blissfully idyllic oasis and in the spectacular landscapes of the Egyptian desert. The wildlife is accurate, engaging and adds an adventurous aspect to the game, like wrestling a Nile crocodile or running away from a charging hippopotamus, it feels so natural and makes you love Egypt even more. You have a pet falcon that aids in scouting and in combat, the most perfect friend a man can ask for. I love my little Horus. The weapons, the outfits/armours are numerous and good. The combat is fun and engaging with a clear progression arch, making you feel stronger only when you work on improving your combat. Although it is not as good as the older games, it relies to much on button mashing and ‘’adrenaline power ups’’ instead of well timed counters and beautiful/elegant counter/take down moves. For the Copesh … the most iconic Egyptian sword...there are only 2 KILL MOVES… Whilst fighting unarmed , you can’t disarm an enemy , here to it is just button mashing and ‘’adrenaline power ups’’..to to faster button mashing…. It is frightening to me how AC1s combat is far superior to a game created more than a decade later. You play the entire games Byek but of course it is the femiazi that assassinated Julius Caesar, have to show how a woman kills the most powerful man on the planet. FUCK the woke femiazi cult Assassinating an enemy around a corner is not as good as in Unity, in Unity you kill the target and you neatly place the body against the wall you were hiding against. Here you dont hide as much as crouch awkwardly against a wall trying to face the correct direction when the enemy passes, then once you assassinate him..the body just drops to the floss right there for all to see, then you have to move over the body, pick it up and carry it 2 feet around the corner and flop it down on the floor. Why did Unities dev team do such a better job than this team? Unfortunately there is no social stealth….you can only hide in bushes, hay or some sparsely placed closets. No blending into/hiding in crowds, on benches, or working with clerical factions to hide in plain sight. They really missed the ball on this one. The characters are most engaging, Baek is a brilliant protagonist, a Madjey returning home after a long expedition ,finding his home under occupation and tracking down those in power with ill repute and working on creating a regime change. The way you lose your ring finger in game is epic.
You can disable the idiotic damage numbers which greatly increases immersion. You can read scattered papyri that tells you so much of this fabled land,of its peoples and its culture, then you get to delve into ancient (even for that time) crypts ,exploring the ancient tombs of Pharaohs a milenia older than Cleopatra herself, that leaves you itching with excitement to see what adventurous treasures lies around the next corner. This game is a visual piece of art, bringing the past to life. Although it is not perfect ,It is really good. 8/10 due to the mediocre combat, the feminazi BS and lack of social stealth..
I’m actually going back and playing many of the games I missed out on. Really enjoying part 3. Finally got Origins today and it’s amazing. Valhalla is freaking awesome too!
Its great im in the same.boat never played them.just bought origins, odyssey, unity, ezio collection and i started with origins(loving it played about 35 hours so far) and i played the first 10 minutes in unity and I.will play more tomorrow
Lmao so you’re trying to rep for what AC is meanwhile you’ve never played the games and aren’t an OG? That’s fucking sad. Stay in your lane with you rooeplay games elsewhere. The new games are the lamest shit ever, and yes I have been a loyal fan since 2007. Origins wasn’t bad- but it still wasn’t the same as all the games before it in a bad way, the last 2 games put the nail in the coffin
I don’t remember what ac game I first played. But back in the day my neighbor once gave me his ac disc game to try on my new ps3. Played it and loved it. So I used to borrow his disc everyday to play. I used to say this is the best game ever. And ever since it become one of my favourite games ever. I just don’t know which one. It was too long ago. All I remember he was wearing a white hoodie with a red banner😂
My aunt got me ACII for Christmas in 2009 and omg I fell in love. My whole family loved the music. We would watch my dad destroy templars using stealth. I even got inspired when unity came out to do my own parkour around my city. Amazing memories thanks to this franchise 🤟
Assassins creed Literally turned from a stealthy game about exploring the past through a hidden brotherhood to an unnecessarily big RPG game loosely referencing the Actual assassins
dont hate on me for saying this, but my favourite of al the AC games is Valhalla. Its not that stealth but the vikings really has a special place in my heart
Same here. Brotherhood si my favorite. I am a huge fan of Odyssey. I played Brotherhood 8 times and Odysey 4 times and i will replay them again Edit: I never look at the map to get around Rome. I know Brotherhood's map by heart.
@@epicmiles7708 😀He he not really. I only played the first time 100% and spent 187 hours on it, about 6 months (1 hour a day only on weekends a little more). The other times I played new game + and played faster and just for fun but not 100% and this takes about a month or less. If you are well organized and you don't play 1000 games a year then you have time. 1 hour a day + a little more in your free days it's enough. Keep in mind that I only play 2 or 3 games a year. The games I like are not many. For example I like the AC series, Ryse Son of Rome, Horizon: Zero Down / Forbidden West, Uncharted, last trilogy of Tomb Raider, The Witcher 3, Prince of Persia series and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and that's it. I've tried many others but didn't like them and never finished. :)) I prefer the third person dynamic adventure, action and stealth genre. But not just stealth otherwise it would be really boring, so it must be a bit of a mix. All other games seem slow and boring to me. :))
Fun fact, Syndicate is the first game to use the term Isu, the name for the precursor race in the series who debuted in 2 right at the end and the race recurring antagonist Juno is a part of. She’s the one to use the name, when the player reaches a specific part of the Thames and helps the player access the 20th century war torn London segments where you play as Jacob’s granddaughter Lydia Frye (the most historically recent ancestor character in a mainline Assassin’s Creed game).
@@JFVideos960 Tell me what game uses the term in its script then, and where specifically in that game. The specific word Isu, not Precursor, First Civilisation or Those Who Came Before. They were introduced as Those Who Came Before, with Precursor (like Precursor Box, a macguffin of multiple games) and First Civilisation also being used to describe them in 1 iirc.
@@jbcatz5 I’m pretty sure 3 uses the term Isu, in the opening credits, and maybe Unity? I’m not finished with Unity though, but I might’ve heard Isu in there somewhere, probably in the modern day

There are like 3 games so far that they made with these Historical settings even before when assassins weren't even things. Like origins, odyssey, and Valhalla, now out of the three historical ac games, Odyssey is the most fun one but it makes sense if you don't feel like a genuine assassin in them.

Since iv had kids and don't get much time so only played 1,2, brotherhood, revaluations, and rogue was my first ever platinum. I have them all but I'm playing origins at the minute and loving it, can't believe iv had it so long and only playing it today, but I'm happy I'm back into it cause i have a bunch there to play and can't wait. I'll platinum origins first then onto black flag next I think :)

So are we now exploring alternate timelines or… idk man, again just feels like they’re breaking lore that was established all the way from AC1.
for me i juat treated Oddysey as god of war with a mix of skyrim
Unity was basically the last assassins creed game to actually feel like assassins creed

A lot of people didn't like Yoda from what I heard he was too good

@@kiyoma same bro, to me Assassin's creed ended with syndicate.
Maybe origins is OK too. But it isn't Assassin's creed after that
Played Ezio trio & black flag again during covid, felt like a beautiful childhood nostalgia. Odyssey & Valhalla are crap, origins is Okay
These games will always be in my heart played them for so long
Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is easily my favourite, like, it's not even close.
Yes I also absolutely love Assassins Creed Odyssey
the jump in graphics from rogue to unity shows how quick videogames advanced in that time
No not really rouge was made for the 360 and unity was made for xbox one and rouge was used in on the black flag engine with unity being completely on a different engine
Black flag is still one of my most favorite game today, play it all the time and replay it
My favourite of the series is ezio trilogy. To me syndicate was the last assassin's creed game ubisoft made
A legendary franchise ❤️ I still play this franchise. And now I'm in Assassin's Creed 3.
This is RUclips production at its best. Thanks for the compilation, I love the saga even more now!

The fact that you could swim in ac2 was awesome after playing that one Acre mission…
This series made some quotes that can make a grown man cry
Odyssey is open world and still maintains a ton of stealth assassinations. You use a lot of stealth in odyssey. Love it!
Maybe you will be the one to make all this suffering worth something in the end."
The writing was so good. WTF happened?
this is beautiful✨

Me too, though properly.

Τhe games are set in a mythicized version of the Saffarid Dynasty Period. The movie is set in the Achaemenid Persian Empire, which if you ask me seems a far better choise for a POP setting.
Assassins Creed Origins
The Setting of Ptolemaic Egypt is superb, the entire region is filled with immense beauty, the setting pulls you in and saturates your brain in another time,in another world.
For the Copesh … the most iconic Egyptian sword...there are only 2 KILL MOVES…
Whilst fighting unarmed , you can’t disarm an enemy , here to it is just button mashing and ‘’adrenaline power ups’’..to to faster button mashing…. It is frightening to me how AC1s combat is far superior to a game created more than a decade later.
You play the entire games Byek but of course it is the femiazi that assassinated Julius Caesar, have to show how a woman kills the most powerful man on the planet. FUCK the woke femiazi cult
Assassinating an enemy around a corner is not as good as in Unity, in Unity you kill the target and you neatly place the body against the wall you were hiding against.
