These 2010-2012 Lexus RX models need an engine coolant pipe replacement, make sure it’s the metal pipe. Those rubber pipes will destroy your engine when it leaks within the first few minutes
My 2010 RX 350 is in great shape purchased it with 136,000 mile looks like it just came off the showroom floor the problem is the ride small lines in the road you get thump thump , on good roads it does ok , I asked a woman who had the same year RX how does your car ride she replied like a J Clunker referring to the same road conditions i mentioned i'm asking other owners their thoughts on the ride
Excellent review .. But I agree with this lady .. the navigation system (and all nav systems and LCD screens to control things) are very unsafe.. They force you to take your eyes off the road to operate. The older manual style controls on the dash are much better and safer to use. And when driving the visibility is getting worse. I think the main reason for poor visibility is that everyone now makes autos/cuv/suv's with lower rooflines.. Every new model seems to have lower rooflines.
Wouldn't the guy behind you slow down if you were making an "emergency" lane change? Her comment about the brake lights not coming on during that manuver is pointless.
It's not an emergency lane change. Its an emergency manouver radical enough to trigger the vehicles stability control system which by function also slows the vehicle down. The guy behind you would as result, if he wasnt paying attention, run into you.
@bg1379 those are the optional xenon headlights and the normal halogen have the projector beams on the outer side. very weird. and nowadays, premium carmakers use projector beams for the drls also like the ls and s class. and the 911 speedster.
I HATE how close together the lights are in the front- it is really misleading and I think dangerous. You'd think that they were the DRLs, but the DRLs are the outer ones.
I feel the RX is underwhelming. it's not small on the outside, but inside it feels cramped. the engine has to be worked hard to accelerate. passing requires two downshifts because it lacks low end torque. it's frightening in emergency maneuvers and the steering wheel doesn't feel connected to the front wheels. for a little more, the GLK350 is better, more power, torque, fuel economy, etc.
Sorry to pour rain on everyone else´s parade but this car looks like a toolbox when observed from the side...I thought the auto industry learned a lesson with the Aztek, in terms of "don´t make an SUV that looks like a toolbox"...
It is shocking how this stupid company (known for its QUIETNESS) has made this vehicle LESS QUIET? What are these people smoking? The engine is EXTREMELY loud and this is the reason I will look for something else!

Always loved Lexus! My grandpa had a LS 400, My grandma a SC 300 for 20 years, now a ES 350 & my uncle has both a RX 300 & a LX 470.

My mom has the 2010 rx. Her headlights automatically dim when she gets close to oncoming traffic and never becomes confused.

What year and engine? My 2011 RX350 has gobs of low-end power and hardly ever drops more than one gear on passing.
