Love your channel Rex. I’ve been watching a lot of your older videos and in one of them you mentioned Apponaug Hobby. When I lived in Rhode Island that was my go to hobby shop. At a minimum I’d stop in there at least twice a month.
If I do pull the trigger on setting up for airbrushing, I'm definitely purchasing the Swallowtail. 1) because you are partnered and the unit looks like it would perform fabulously, and 2) Gaahleri is involved.
Great review. I picked up the Behr Orion Gray Gloss last week. Looking forward to seeing the results of your review/test. You have whetted my appetite with your Swallowtail.
Love your vids. Down to earth. Testing all different kinds of paint. Very conservative & honest opinions - best bang for the buck as they say. As soon as I clean up my storage basement, I'm setting up my little paint shop for all the 3D models I have lined up. God Bless.

I'm super excited for the release of your airbrush! I've yet to use a trigger style brush and have been thinking about getting one and which one to get. My decision is easy now. I'm glad I waited.
I've had really good success with the Behr white "primer+paint", for priming my resin 3d prints. Also looking forward to the release of your airbrush, will definitely pick one up.
Congratulations on teaming up with Gaahleri. I wish I’d have known yours was coming out I would have waited and bought the Rex instead of Swallowtail. Would it be a bad thing to have 5 Gaahleri air brushes!?🤣
How bad does it smell? Please let us know if it's durable on those cars. Do you heat set? Tape test after drying? I have some AW TOP FUEL white bodies coming soon. Trying to figure out what I am going to do to them. I make my own water slide decals, not sure yet. Thanks
I just spray and let air dry. Both the bodies I painted yesterday feel sticky today but the paint doesn't smudge or come off by rubbing on it. It is thicker than Tamiya TS paint. The color is nice but I probably won't paint any more slot cars with my can of paint. I didn't notice any smell at all. Way less smell to me than the Tamiya cans.

I used the No Drama red on a RC sailboat that had been brush painted. After sanding the original paint smooth, the Behr spray paint was easy to use, with no runs. The boat looks 100% better now. A Dragonflite DF95. I was thinking about a clear coat, but Behr doesn't make one.
Was just at the Depot tonight eyeing these up. Thank you for the test, now I know they're good to use. I'm also pumped for the release of your airbrush! Is there any chance your Patreon supporters will get an advanced heads up or their own discount code?
I'm going to get one of your airbrushes... $99 its a deal! Looking forward to the fan tip as well, .. I have wanted a fan tip airbrush for 55 years. This will be a great companion to my Iwata. May well try a few of these Behr on project too.. They have some flat colors in there exactly what I need for a one-off project.
I know this is an old video but, I also had issues with some cheap spoons I bought. The clear and black spoons. It seems that the plastic was a mix of types together and my Paint did not like parts of the spoon. I found streaks in the same spots on all the spoons. I had to use a spray can paint, black or gray and paint then 3 times to cover the areas. After the primer was dry my testing was fine.
They awesome but let them Cure before working on your project but I still thinn them with mr.color selfleveling thinner or Rapid thinner .I never use them on Bandai Plastic only on cars or trucks and military vehicles. .I use to decant the hole can and I stop doing that the paint was thickening in a airtight container the gas in it was harding the paint sometimes i use air locks to gas off the paint like they use in beer and wine making that did help but now I only decant it as I need it and let it gas off for 20 minutes and thinn it and spray .I do this with mth 94 paint and other paints I use a lot of paint .I Experiment with different paints and supplies every day .
Thank you for testing these paints. I sW them at Home Depot as well and was wondering if they could be used for models. I wish they would say if they are enamel or lacquers or acrylics.
