Malcom X was made out to be scary i remember growing, wow its total proof of how we are manipulated. The words in this speech are TRUTH. Its scary to think about just how much they control us. How they divide us to this day. How media made white people afraid of black folks is disgusting. Iam sicken by ALL POLITICIANS AND MEDIA WHO PRACTICES IN THESE TWISTED MIND GAMES WITH ALL PEOPLE TODAY!! WE HAVE THE POWER TO STOP ALL OF IT. DONT TRUST PEOPLE IN DC TO PROTECT US, DONT LET WORDS COMFORT YOU, ONLY ACTION. Mrs Hammer was beaten and told her story, and we still didnt get it, white people i mean. Its powerful stuff. If you never heard it, go listen to her, she should be more honored more than many who have been. Malcom was the bravest men in our history, he to should be remember as a great American Patriot.

But the generation that lived through the WWII was not afraid to die for its ideals so we could have a better world.
Malcolm was truly one of the greats and I can't imagine what the world would be like if he was still around - what a tremendous loss!!!!!!! We need another/more Malcolm(s) in the world!

If Malcolm had been allowed to grow and mature things would have gotten bloody but we all would have moved in the right direction because of it. Freedom and liberation! BLOOD, that is the price for freedom and liberation, Blood. They sure shed his in a very public and hideous manner. I loved Malcolm then and I love him no less now. Thank you Brother Malcolm. This speech teaches me one thing. The situations in the 60s is still the same situations in 2020. But few things have changed: Good people are dead and vanguished from earth, courage and virtues of patriotism are long gone, unity died with heros who sacrificed their heroism. So, the cry of 60s is still my cry today. In 60s they shouted, in 2020 we are silent and fearful.

If the Black Hand of America did not give us a taste of the American cup of iniquity, after taken their best shot, we showed we weren't afraid to die, they weren't crazy, after kicking a dog so long he will bite, We were on the verge of an American Mau Mau.

Can't believe you just mentioned my home city of Nairobi just a week after we gained independence from the British rule. I do not think there is any person on the African continent who is a bigger student and fan of Malcolm X than me. Sadly Brother Malcolm X, the country whose independence you're proudly talking about has unfortunately been run down by dogs and cartels fathered by the family and close associates of none other than one of its very own founding freedom fighters, the Kenyatta family, so much so that 50+ years down the line we are yet to taste the benefits of not just the liberation of Kenya but that of the African continent as a whole from the white minority rule. I have to admit that the post-colonial Africa is in much worse shape and form than its pre-colonial state, and only a violent anti-establishment revolution can get us out of the mess that we have allowed our African leaders and dictators to put us in.

Teach the people, Benson! Independence means nothing without control of every institution that impinges on our people's lives. Read Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkurmah or Ahmed Seku Ture run down the problems of neocolonialism and how we can free ourselves. First we must have revolutionary ideology. Brother Malcolm teaches us rule number two: get yourself an international crew. The only thing between us and liberation is organization! We can't figure how to fix South Africa if we don't understand what's happening in South America or South Philly and link arms with our Family at Home in Africa and abroad in the Diaspora.
      Forward!

To everyone, that listens to this intelligent man speak, know that for us to be better together it will HAVE to start with you. RESPECT, PEACE and LOVE towards people who look similar to you. He wanted better for all of us, and in these times praise is given more to entertainers and less to good parents and educators. We need to reach a common language for us, less so called leaders and more listeners, plans and then action to better all of us. "Broke together, NEVER rich alone".

And even though they painted him as a villain in history books when we hear him speak his words sink deep into our hearts because we know they are true. And that's the thing about truth it doesn't matter who said it or how long ago it was said, truth is truth and your heart knows it.

As we climbed the steps and sat in the Audubon Ballroom in the spring of 1964, Malcolm repeated what he had admonished us to do without fail. He forcefully repeated the one commission that even he had neglected and ignored early on his path. Malcolm said he might send members door to door” to be sure we complied or be given “24 hours to get out of Harlem.” The one act each and every one of us had an obligation to do at each and every opportunity… and if not done, would be done for us and, most assuredly, to us…VOTE!!

@Viper Obama was there to be a butler in the eyes of the dems cleaning up after George W. He help everyone except Black people. U really don't know half of what you claim to know. Realize that the power is not being POTUS because that's just an image, a facade of sorts. True power is wielded by the elite that's behind the scenes. U must think Gail had a choice in what she asked of Lisa Leslie. Guess again. She's a puppet just like the POTUS. Only she is on a lower level yet they're all functioning towards the same agenda.
Whether you attend an HBCU an Ivy League or just an ordinary state college, guess what non genius, they all have the same curriculum when the board members reconvene. Panoramic view. There's no productive progress as a people being under another people's boot. Even MLK jr began to realize that fact before his assassination. Should you continue to adhere to thinking like a cave beast in melanated skin you will be awarded nothing more than death by assimilation.

A 2008 Malcolm X, would have been proud of Obama, because he, like Farrakhan would have understood the moment! During Obama's 2 term Farrakhan made the choice not to publicly oppose Obama, because he understood the optics of doing so and would not allow the media, nor The GOP the benefit of weaponizing his words against Obama. A 2008 Malcolm X would have done the same!

Unapologetic truth. Not corrupt but with sincerity and integrity. Acerbic, with conciseness. With few well placed aphorisms and just blatant honesty. The Spirit of truth is upon him, for this purpose he was ordained.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13. Just as the prophet proclaimed, Mr. Malcolm X did not exist without a purpose.
