- Protect your vehicle from the damaging effects of rust with a simple DIY Fluid Film undercoating!
In this video, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of applying Fluid Film to your car's undercarriage. Fluid Film is a lanolin-based rust inhibitor that's easy to use and provides long-lasting protection.
Good work self! Thanks bruv.
Before “just spraying everything” you should start by getting the weep holes and internal frame rails. Inside body panels, and grounding straps.
Thanks for the video. I’ve been wondering about fluid film for some time. Thanks for clarifying the application process.
TYVEK suit works great.
Brilliant. Putting that on the shopping list 🛒
That is an excellent idea.
Keep up the good work my friend.
Thank you! It means a lot.
The problem that I’ve had with my 3rd gen 4Runners is that the frame tends to rust from the inside out. Salt and sand makes its way inside the frame and rots it 12 months of the year. I’ve welded patches so many times, my first rig had nearly as much patch work as frame. Finally had to put her down with 311,000 miles and still running strong. 😢
Did you do any rust removal first? Also, is this stuff a rust converter as well as a covering?
I removed as much rust as possible with a wire wheel on a grinder. That was last Fall during the first Fluid Film application, however, and I didn’t video that. I didn’t see in any of the documentation about it being a converter, only a coating and rust preventer. Hope this helps!
