I grew up with the Lakers when they played NEAR lakes... Minneapolis, for folks who don't know, but as a Bay Area resident I'm a very grateful Warriors fan. I wish JJ well, but I will SORELY miss his presence on RUclips where his interviews are the best around. Those conversations are wonderful. He is a fan and players easily relate given his resume. There are other retired players doing something similar but there isn't another JJ on the scene. I expect he'll have success but I don't imagine I'll be a Lakers fan again. (JJ would do well to emulate Steve Kerr who clearly had phenomenal success creating a culture of excellence. Of course, he has a very young, talented team to coach.)
