To wipe the inside of the barbeque and to wipe the burner with the same paper towel is a bad move. You can potentionally plug up the holes in the burner with stuff that is on your paper towel after wiping down the barbeque. I would always make sure I don't move a dirty towel over the burners (to make sure particles don't fall on top of the burner while the gas is off). Also, when you wipe it down too much, you are removing the seasoning of the grill, which is where the flavor comes from. An old barbeque will always have better tasting food compared to a new barbeque. Finally, I use a piece of smoking wood to scrape my grill rather than a wire bursh since it possible (like you said) to get injured with wire left behind. With a piece of wood, if anything is left behind, it will be burned off on the next cookout.
It's being returned,it's built-in regulator is garbage.turns gas off after 10 seconds..it's basically too expensive to have the built-in regulator.because,it's built-in regulator can not be easily changed out with a new hose.at $330. a built-in regulator becomes a design flaw

Sorry to hear that. Not sure what the problem is. It works for me!
I have read a number of reviews of people having this same problem.
