Especially since I'm in a small farming town in the San Joaquin Valley. I think if I were lucky enough to live on the coast I'd just travel international every year and not worry about going to NY so much

Sometimes birthing goes completely different than you plan. I planned on having a natural birth as well, and ended up having an emergency c-section because of complications due to blood pressure and my baby's heart rate. It can be really disappointing, but no matter how it's done, your baby is here and that's amazing! Congratulations to you and Caleb! She's very beautiful!

I have tons of college friends around the country--and around the world--who I'd love to visit, but it'd be weird being like, "Sorry, friends I love who are in the same country with me, I can't afford to come visit you. London, here I come!" :P

I’d choose international since I’m Dutch but I live in the USA now, so visiting my family back in Europe once a year for free would be an awesome bonus. Plus, for some weird reason (capitalism anyone?) flights from Europe to the USA are at least half price to those from the USA to a European destination. For instance, my mom can get a return ticket from Amsterdam to the Midwest and back for around $700. Last time I had to fly back to Amsterdam (for a funeral) my ticket cost me almost $2000. Mind you, that was a last minute flight but still.
