Robin somehow I missed this video until now. Wow, you offer so many pro tips here it is a treasure. Plus the project is simple enough I can handle it🤓 Thank You! Charlotte
I am really inspired by your altered file folders. I have been watching your videos a lot and I have made an altered folder and journal. Thank you so much
Hi great tutorial...thankyou s9 much...another great way to coffee dye your papers is by using a paintbrush and hanging them out on the line...that's how I do my papers... Irene xx
Hi, I'm relatively new to your channel and I've not commented before. I wanted to comment to say thank you for doing this craft with me. I loved how you use small bags to store pieces ready for journals, I do too but mine are a lot more messy than yours!! It's really helpful to hear how you prepare your supplies and what kind of items you collect to use in your journals. I'm in the UK and I tend to go to my local charity shops weekly and I do have one which is my favourite and the lady who serves on the till on the day I always go in has got to know me and points out bits and pieces to me. I look at the clothes in charity shops as well as you can get some really lovely fabrics and it costs less than buying from a fabric shop. If I'm clearing out my clothes, I also keep stuff which I can use I'm my journals. EBay is also great for supplies. Thank you for your great tips, I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Best wishes from the UK, Rae xx
@@robindudleyhowes i did go in today but there wasnt much there that caught my eye 😭 I did get a botanical images colouring book which was brand new and there are also lots of lovely quotes. It will definitely be used in some journals in one way or the other !! Best wishes to you, Rae xx
Good day Robin, I cant believe that I have never come apon any of your videos until now and have been making journals for almost 3 years. :) saw your post on Junk Journal Tutorials, (I'm Irene Cloutier) ..You are now under my favorites for sure. Thank you for your tutorial . We are having a big snow storm again...so I will be doing a bit of binge watching of yours videos. lol
Thanks so much for doing these tutorials. I am wondering if you will show us how you make your seam binding bows so pretty. Some of your folders have the bows on the crocheted pieces that fold over the top. I love how yours look.
Thanks! Good question, glass buttons usually are cold to the touch and sometimes I click them on my teeth! They are also a little heavier than plastic.
Thank you for taking the time to explain the process of gathering!! So many things can be saved.
