I been yelling at my phone for you to just change the starter... glad it fixed it. I had an alternator that acted up on a Hyundai accent probably 25 years ago... tested on and off several times and couldn't figure out, traded to a friend and they fixed it by replacing the connection... I was mad.
I saw alot of those muranos at auction I go to in Colorado and they were going cheap.
I had a Honda like yours (although mine was 5 speed manual) and found it to be a great little car - and totally reliable. The only car in that class to beat it is (in my opinion) the Hyundai IX20 which is faster, quieter and more economical.
check out a Acura RDX.. you might like it. We had one for a bit. AWD, turbo, leather decent gas mileage.
I was having similar issues on my honda civic, and it was ultimately that the battery sensor was bad. That caused the whole VSA system to not even try to initialize and it would turn on the TCS, TPMS, Brake System and a steering wheel looking light. After getting the battery sensor fixed, everything else went away. just a thought, because at first I would have never suspected the battery sensor to cause all that mayhem... When researching this I also found that if the horn fuse or relay is blown it will cause the same issues.. the horn is on the same circuit.
What has seemed to fix my issue was running fuel injector cleaner through the system. The one code that stuck out to me was a lean code. None of the light have come back for several months now that I did that.
I'm supposed to be working...
