The official theme is now confirmed to be the Nintendo Direct trailer music by some gameplays, I think it sounds really nice, just like this remix, I like it a lot

Very jazz-fusion, which is something I think the Sonic series is in need of. I hear bits and pieces of Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Kim Pensyl, Masayoshi Takanaka, and Yousuke Yasui spread throughout. 0:52 sounds like the kind of "interlude" that FearOfDark, a chiptune artist I used to be obsessed with, would often insert into his pieces.

Too derivative of older flavors, like 4 or CD, in a stage that didn't ask for it. Speed Jungle's actual tracks were right on time. I think the gameplay footage is what did you in; you want an entirely different product for this song.
