      Brontos are far more versatile than straight sticks or towers. It isn’t deployed until the incident commander wants it deployed.

      Can you tell me what it was utilized for at this fire?
      Secondly, if for example, a fire were to occur at 3:00 AM in a similar shop but found upon arrival to be fully advanced and in possession of the first floor...auto exposing to the second floor...with victims visible at the top floor front windows...how long do you think it might take to get the platform to them?

    • @kevinmc12
      @kevinmc12 2 года назад

      That building was derelict, the fire started in the kitchen on the ground floor and spread to the wooden floor of the next level. The guys in the platform were sent up to vent the smoke and relay information on fire spread. I can understand there’s a lot of confusion on the use of the HP but this incident was textbook on limiting the fire spread and most importantly not injuring any firefighters as structural damage inside had compromised proceeding floor access. Also, there is a 22mm high pressure hose reel in the fire compartment with 4 firefighters wearing BA fighting the fire; the smoke coming from the the top windows is of fire spread behind wall cavity’s and underneath floorboards. A lot of digging and exposing in the fire compartment to ensure the fire is out. Hope that helps as I can see many supercilious comments by other users.

    In the US we’ve found that putting water on the fire puts it out. At 6:00 minutes you still had no water on the fire. Not one ground ladder put up. And your aerial truck driver is useless.

      yeah but american firefighters just go straight into the fire and blast it with water, british and irish firefighters actually plan an attack before they go in so the firefighters know what to do and are safer.

      There’s a 22mm high pressure hose reel in the fire compartment even before the video starts. Don’t even start with that American BS, watch any go-pro footage of US firefighters fighting a fire. Literally 2/3 minutes pass with guys sauntering around before a drop of water reaches the fire.
